Alphas' Embrace Page 10

by Sara Anderson

Sam and Gage both waited on the bed while she mentally processed what they’d told her. “Fair enough,” she said.

Sam’s predatory gaze eased, and he smiled like a man who’d just won the lottery. “Before we get in any deeper, I need to talk to you about safe words. You know what those are, right?”

She nodded her head. “Yes, all of my books have them.”

Sam’s fingers traced a light pattern on her stomach that left tingles of arousal fluttering through her abdomen and down to her toes. “Good. We’ll discuss more later, but for now, let’s use the traffic system. Red means stop now. Yellow means you need us to slow down, and green means you’re good, keep going.”

Excitement burned in her, and her heart skipped a beat. He was really going to explore BDSM with her? Sure, she’d read books and fantasized, but she didn’t think anyone really did it. “Okay!” Her face must have given her away as both men chuckled.

Gage took her hands in his large ones. He pinned her down and held fast when she gently pulled.

“How are you? Red, yellow, or green?”

She yanked a few more times and then realized he meant with bondage. “I’m green.”

Gage leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. “Good. Sometimes it gets to be fearful to not be able to move. If you begin to feel any amount of fear, let me know.”

  Avery nodded. “I will.”

Gage secured her hands and ran his fingers inside the soft rope. “If that gets too tight, say yellow.”

  “Okay.”

Sam secured her legs with some straps from under his bed. “I have a plug I want to put in your ass.” He wasn’t asking permission, rather he was telling her what he was about to do. Her pussy clenched. That made her so hot. Not the bossiness part. She’d experienced enough bullies. Sam and Gage took charge, but they’d always had her safety and happiness in mind.

She smiled at him, feeling a love and trust so strong it frightened her a bit. Gage kissed her, and his hand stroked over her body until it reached her soaking-wet slit. He gathered her slick arousal on his finger and then stroked her clit. She moaned, and then Gage started to push the butt plug into her ass. It stung and stretched her, and she was powerless to do anything to stop him. Her heart raced as she pulled at the restraints holding her open for anything Sam wanted to do. Fear nearly gripped her, and then she remembered her words. She could stop or just slow them down with a word. With that thought, she calmed.

With a start, she realized they’d both stopped and were watching her. Had they sensed her fear and stopped? She glanced at each of them before Sam kissed her knee. “Ready to keep going now?”

Had she said any words? She furrowed her brow. No, she hadn’t. Still, they knew she was struggling. “Yes, I’m ready.” Her voice was strong and steady.

Sam worked the plug in while Gage stroked her clit and sucked her nipple into his mouth. Her hips rocked and she panted in and out, as pain and pleasure morphed in her body. With a plop, the plug sank in, and Sam crawled up her body like a lion ready to devour a feast. “You’re so beautiful. Soon, you will be ready to take both Gage and me.”

  “Both? As in a ménage?”

“Yes, love. We’ll both love you at the same time until you’re wrapped in so much pleasure you can’t see straight.” He thrust his cock in and groaned.

  “You’re so tight. I won’t last.”

Avery could only lay on the bed with her legs spread wide open and Gage pinning her hands. She tried to rock her hips, but Sam had her pinned in place. She was completely helpless and at their mercy. Instead of fear, she moaned.

“Yes, darlin’. That’s it. Surrender to me.” Sam leaned over and kissed her neck lightly as he pulled out and pushed back in. She whimpered at the wonderful feeling of his cock stroking her G-spot.

“Gage, give me the bullet vibrator.” Sam reached up after Gage leaned over and opened a package. A buzzing filled the room, and then Avery’s muscles froze when he put the vibrator against her clit. “That’s better.” He held it in place as he fucked her in long, hard strokes.

Avery struggled to move. Her body was racing toward release at an apocalyptic rate. Her clit pulsed as her pussy clamped down on his cock. Her breath rasped in and out of his chest, and just before she went supernova, a needle-sharp pain pierced her neck. For a split second, it was as if a thick needle sank deep into her skin, but then before she could even register the pain, there was a curtain of pure white bliss as her climax overtook her.

Sam moaned, and the sound vibrated down from her neck to her clit. Her orgasm rolled on while Sam held her pinned. For a moment, fear fluttered through her heart. Sam was bestial as he thrust into her, and then he growled. The sound called to something in her, but she shied away.

Gage let go of her hand and stroked her hair. “Surrender, sweet Avery. Bonding with an Alpha can be overwhelming, but let him in.”

Avery’s breath shuddered, and tentatively she let down her resistance.

Gage stroked her hair. “Good girl.”

Warmth flooded her senses, as Sam’s essence invaded her spirit. His fierce protectiveness for everyone around him, including her. Before he knew he loved her, he wanted to know how to better protect her and Rylee. The moment she’d moved into his town, she fell under his protection. The moment was so beautiful, she couldn’t help but weep with the joy as well as the pleasure.

Sam let go and licked her neck, and then he came with a final groan. His hot seed filled her pussy, and her pussy gripped his cock as she came once again. Finally spent, they lay together for a moment before Gage untied her, and Sam rolled to his side and pulled Avery with him.

Gage pulled the plug from her ass, washed his hands, and then joined them. He threw Sam a hot washcloth, and then cleaned Avery. No one said a word. No communication was needed at that moment. Their souls understood what words would never say. They were bonded far deeper than any wedding ceremony could ever bind. When they were washed, Gage tossed the washcloths toward the bathroom and they all laid down. Peace and comfort settled over her as she closed her eyes and allowed sleep to claim her.

Sam stroked Avery’s brown hair. Overpowering love and the need to protect her flooded him as he took in how peaceful she was when she slept. “We could keep her and Rylee here now. Supernatural law is on our side.” Even though he knew he could, he also knew she still needed time to accept them. Mating was far more than a claim on their mate. He exchanged his blood and essence with her, and they were literally now a part of each other. He’d be able to sense her from now on.

“We could, and I do want to keep her within arm’s reach, but I’m not sure she’s ready.” Gage’s face reflected his own warring emotions. His eyes had the feral possessiveness Lycans displayed with their mate, but also compassion and wisdom.

Sam could see that they were both in agreement, and that solidified his decision. “I agree. We’ll give her the space she needs, but if our mating puts her in any kind of danger, then her choices are off the table. Fear sometimes drives people to act on emotions rather than what is best for them.”

“So far, the fighting has stayed in extremely rural areas,” Sam said and then gazed at his ceiling. “Mortef has infiltrated a biker gang. I’m not sure if he’s using coyotes, ghouls, or just really stupid humans. Tomorrow, I will make some calls and have enforcers stationed outside of her house. Neither her nor Rylee go anywhere unguarded.”

“I’ll make sure Wyatt knows first thing,” Gage said in agreement.

Sam ran his hand along Avery’s smooth skin. She was much like a skittish kitten that other assholes had mistreated. Other Lycans had an easier time of mating and bonding with their mates, but Sam didn’t care. She was worth the work. He could clearly see her true personality shining under all tarnish from the tragedy in her life. While he’d never pry into her thoughts unless it was to keep her or Rylee safe, he could sense her distrust. So many times the things Gage and he had done only compounded t
hat distrust because others had done it just to lower her guard, and then they’d hurt her. His jaw clenched and his fingers made a tight fist. The errant emotions and thoughts he’d caught mostly centered on her mother and someone named Collin. One day he would find a way to slay her demons for her. Even if the people were gone forever, he’d find a way to put her at peace. She was a wonderful mother, and her kind and gentle spirit shone over her like a beacon. Even if she hadn’t been his fated mate, he would have fallen in love with her. Fate just helped point her out to him and Gage.

As he imagined her heart slowly opening as she realized they would never hurt her, he pictured which room she would pick as her own and how she would decorate it. He could see the appreciation in her eyes whenever she looked at the restoration he’d done to this old house. Working with her on building a new life was going to be a pleasure, in more ways than one.

Avery lifted her head and glanced around the bedroom. Sam was already up and off somewhere. Gage stepped out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around him.

  “Nice nap?”

“Yeah,” she said and rubbed her eyes. She hadn’t even dreamed. It was the best kind of nap with no nightmares or flashbacks. “How long did I sleep for?”

“A couple of hours. It’s almost midnight.”

Sam walked in wearing nothing but a pair of cotton sleeping pants. She stared into his eyes and knew something had changed between them. It was not just the fact that she loved him and Gage both more than she’d ever loved a man before, but his gaze held a new kind of domination. It was a little scary, but a whole lot of hot. It was melting her already heated core, and she had to think clearly now.

Gage came out and threaded his belt through his belt loops. “I gotta get to the bar. They need help closing up with Mark out on paternity leave.”

Sam nodded. “I can take care of our mate.”

“Good. I may come back, but if it gets too late, I’ll just crash at the apartment for a few hours.”

Avery pushed the plush blanket off her. “I have to get Rylee home.”

Sam’s gaze moved to her, and he sat down next to her. “I will always put what Rylee needs before my wants, but I would love it if you stayed.”

Her pussy clenched again at the memory of the pleasure he gave her, but responsibility weighed on her. She nearly caved right then and said yes, but Rylee needed stability, especially tonight with that vile therapy appointment tomorrow afternoon. “I can’t. Rylee needs to be home at night.”

Sam’s face softened, and he cupped the back of her neck with his hand and pulled her closer to him. He placed a soft kiss on her forehead. “We will work on moving Rylee over here. Maybe if she helps to decorate her own room here and she has her own space, it will make moving fun for her.”

Avery stared at him for a moment, wondering if he meant that. She saw the sincerity burning in his dark gaze and knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he meant every word. “She would really like that. She loves almost any girl toy and even quite a few meant for boys.”

Gage sat next to her. “We’ll start letting her pick things out.” He rubbed her back for a moment, and she nearly lay back down on the bed.

Sam stood up and pulled her into his arms. “Rylee comes first, always. It would be hard on her to just move. I will see you tomorrow, and we’ll talk about an outing.”

Her heart sank as she thought about Rylee’s appointment. She wished she could get out of it, but if she skipped, she feared the therapist would report her to the police or child services. She couldn’t stop her therapy until she was at least talking again anyways. A dark cloud of despair settled over her as she realized how trapped she was. “I have an appointment in the afternoon. I’ll call you when I’m home.”

  “What’s wrong?”

Avery shook her head. Sure, they were working on a relationship and making huge steps, but she didn’t want to dump her problems on him. “Nothing.”

Sam’s intense stare bored into her. She could almost feel him, brushing against her with that gaze. “I could get whatever answers I wanted, but I will allow you your space. I want you to come to me willingly.”

By the way he scrutinized her with his dark penetrating gaze, she had no doubt he could get whatever he wanted out of her. She also knew he was giving her space. “I know.” She rested her head against his chest. She wanted to just stay in his arms and let him handle everything, but that wasn’t fair. He didn’t need to deal with this bullshit either.

Sam moved some of her hair out of her face. “When I earn your full trust, the reward will be far sweeter than if I just take it.”

Avery gave him a miniscule smile. “Maybe one day.”

Gage walked out, and when Sam pulled her up and led her downstairs, she met Gage in the foyer. He had Rylee in his arms. Her head rested on his shoulder. Her eyes were heavy, but she wasn’t quite asleep. Avery knew she wouldn’t be until she got her home. The image of Gage holding her was perfect and right, deep in her soul. The feeling was so intense she almost heard the words, And now Rylee has found her true fathers.

“Let’s get this little pumpkin home to bed.” Gage bounced Rylee a bit, as he walked toward the door.

She was still staring at Gage and Rylee in wonder when she walked outside. She scanned the darkness as she usually did looking for any trace of The Brotherhood or Collin. There up the street, under the glow of a street lamp, was a man on a motorcycle. She froze, and bile rose in her throat. Was that Collin? She stared harder and blinked. It was hard to tell and his back was facing her, but the patch looked much like his from the biker gang, and he wore that type of bandana to keep his long blonde hair in check when he was riding. She stood rooted in place as her eyes stayed pinned on the man down the street. Everything she’d eaten threatened to come up under the assault of her fight or flight response.

“Hey, you comin’?” Gage’s soft voice called from her front porch.

“Yeah.” She ran on wobbly legs as if they were made of Jell-O. She continued to stare at the figure on the bike, when she stumbled over the uneven ground of her yard. She barely caught herself and then took her porch steps three at a time. She glanced up the stairs and saw Gage heading toward her room, which had Rylee’s toddler bed next to hers.

She closed the door and pressed her back against the glass of the rectangular window. Was that really Collin? She thought for sure he was dead or running. Why was he here and still wearing that biker patch? She turned around and stared out of her door until she heard Gage coming down the stairs, and she turned back around and tried to swallow her fear. What if word got out about her past? What if Sam got her in more trouble by trying to help? The last two times she’d gone to the police, they’d not believed her at all, and then The Brotherhood found her. They were everywhere it seemed, and two apartments had been ransacked.

“Something has really frightened you.” Gage frowned down at her with concern.

“Ghosts from the past.” She tried to laugh, but it came out hollow. Oh, how much she wanted to throw herself into Gage’s arms and tell him everything. She shook like a frightened child, but surely, she was imagining things. He couldn’t possibly be here. The last time she saw him, bikers were trying to kill him. But to say it was terrifying was the understatement of the century.

“I’ve got my phone on me, and Sam is home.” Gage pulled her phone out of her back pocket. “I am putting both our numbers on speed dial. You call us if anything happens.” He walked around and locked all the windows for her and closed the blinds.

  She nodded. “Thank you.”

She walked out and the bike was still there, but the body looked bigger than Collin. Relief made her knees weak as she turned toward him. He walked over to her windows and checked around the frames.

  “What are you doing?”

“Making sure the seals Sam put on your windows are curing all right.”

She’d seen him putting wires around her windows when he’d caulked them to kee
p drafts out. “I think they did.”

“Good.” Gage swiped his phone and brought up an app. “Remember, if anything frightens you, don’t hesitate to call. I’ll be up anyways.”

“All right. Thank you.” She waved as he walked across to his truck and got in. She closed the door, and despite the relief of realizing that wasn’t Collin, memories assaulted her of that horrible day, and the fear persisted that The Brotherhood had found her.

The gunshots were so loud and Rylee’s screams tore her heart apart. She wished she could call the police, but the biker gang seemed to have their own people in the police. If she was wrong, and it was just some man, she could accidentally alert The Brotherhood to where she was.

What was she going to do? She couldn’t run now. There was no way. She’d trust Sam and Gage enough first. Maybe they’d leave with her, and they could find some secluded cabin in the middle of Canada where no one would dare to travel. They wouldn’t. She knew that with certainty. They were connected to this land much the same way they were connected to her. They wouldn’t leave and they wouldn’t let her go either. If The Brotherhood had found her, she would just have to deal with them.

  Chapter Six

The morning sun glared right in Gage’s eyes as he arrived at his brother’s home from his own apartment. After he’d closed the place down, he just crashed on his own bed. They’d work on a plan to get Rylee used to sleeping at Sam’s house, and then he’d move over, as well. It may take a while, but they’d get it done.

He checked the cars on the street as usual. There were a lot of hostilities between Vampires and Lycans lately. Shadetree had remained quiet, but there had been a major attack just miles outside of town between Vampires, ghouls, which were humans turned to Vampire slaves, and some of the humans that willingly followed Mortef. The Supernatural Council stopped short of calling the fighting an all-out war, but it was close.
