I took a few deep, cleansing breaths until I was sure she was finished. There was silence from inside her room, so I cleared my throat and stepped forward. As I raised my fist to knock on the door, I heard her soft footsteps as she hurried toward me.
She threw open the door and grinned at me, standing aside to let me by. I tried to smile but I found it difficult to meet her eyes. When I stepped inside her room, my eyes flashed to her bed and I cleared my throat again, trying to regain my composure.
“Did you enjoy the show?” Caroline asked, her voice low and husky.
“Excuse me?” I jerked my head around. She was grinning at me in a mischievous way that made my face flush with shame.
“It’s okay,” she said softly. “I saw you watching me.”
“You did?” I asked, my voice weak. “Why didn’t you say anything?”
Caroline shrugged. “I wanted you to enjoy the show.”
I laughed and shook my head, staring at her in disbelief. This girl was unlike anyone I’d ever met. Not only was she the complete opposite of everything I thought a trust fund girl was supposed to be, she was also the sexiest, most alluring woman I’d ever laid eyes on her.
As she stared at me with that sultry look in her eyes, I couldn’t take it anymore. I lunged forward and grabbed her around the waist, pulling her against me. Our kiss was hard and fast, desperate and full of need. Her tongue shot into my mouth, tasting me while she moaned quietly. In an instant, the erection I’d worked so hard to control was back.
I groaned and we fell on the bed, kissing and rubbing each other with passion. Finally, Caroline pulled away to catch her breath.
“Let’s take a little break,” she said with a soft chuckle. “Just to talk.”
“Okay.” I nodded. “Yeah, that’s probably a good idea.”
Still, my eyes had a hard time staying on her face as we laid back on her pillows to talk. She was wearing sweatpants and a loose t-shirt without a bra. It was enough to make me lose my fucking mind but I could tell she was getting nervous. All of that bravado in the show she’d just put on for me was slowly slipping away now that I was close to her. She needed to slow down, so I forced myself to behave. Getting herself off in front of me was one thing, actually doing the deed was a whole other ballgame. I could see the internal struggle between wanting to give into her desires and being scared to do so. It was endearing and frustrating all at once.
We spent the rest of the night just talking. We laid on her bed, alternating between stories about her childhood and mine. She told me about her love of art and I told her about my passion for horses. When I told her that I’d love to own my own place some day and have horses to ride, she didn’t laugh. I realized that she was probably the only one who hadn’t. When you grew up poor in a town like this, no one ever thought you could do any better. Caroline was different though. She encouraged me and told me she believed that I would do it. By the time we were finished talking, the sun was rising outside of her window, and yet I didn’t feel the slightest bit tired.
