Desire Oklahoma The Founding Fathers Trilogy Page 80

Phoenix joined in the fun while Blade watched from the ledge, washing himself and shaking his head at their antics.

Holding out a hand, Blade smiled. “Sarah, come here.”

She went to him readily, easing over him and bracing her elbows on the ledge on either side of him. Pressing her lips to his sleek chest, she giggled when Phoenix pulled at her toes.

Lathering the scented soap she loved in his hands, Blade smiled down at her. “Good girl. No questions or hesitation.” Threading his lathered fingers through her hair, he bent to touch his lips to her forehead. “That’s what we need from you, love. The thought of you getting hurt is more than I can bear. We’re not trying to be mean, but we need to keep you safe.”

Sliding up to kneel in front of him, Sarah ran her hands over his shoulders, leaning forward to touch her lips to his, something that appeared to please him very much. “I know. I understand now.”

His eyes flared, the heat in them unmistakable. “Good.” His hands tightened in her hair, pulling her closer for another kiss. Lifting his head, he began to massage her scalp, working the lather into her hair.

Moaning at how good it felt, Sarah looked up at him through her lashes. “Of course, the next time you decide to spank me, I hope you don’t leave me the way you did today.” Shrugging, she fought not to smile. “How can I respect a man who doesn’t finish what he started?”

Blade’s eyes widened, then narrowed, his hands stilling in her hair as Phoenix and Hawke both chuckled from somewhere behind her. “You’re getting awfully brave, little one.”

Hawke eased to the ledge beside her, running a hand down her back. “Aren’t you a little afraid that the savages you married will make you pay for that?”

Thinking back to how tenderly they’d cared for her, and seeing their love for her shining in their eyes, Sarah wrinkled her nose at them, unable to hold back a giggle. “I’m counting on it.”

Leaping back into the water, she started to swim away, knowing they would catch her easily. After a split second of stunned silence, she heard them hit the water with a soft splash.

Phoenix’s laughter filled the air as he caught her and gathered her against him. “You are brave.” Hugging her to him, he turned her in his arms as Hawke and Blade approached, the playful gleam in their eyes promising retribution.

Phoenix’s smile fell, his eyes darkening. “I love you so damned much. You scare the hell out of me sometimes.”

Wrapping her arms around his neck, she slid against him, smiling again when his cock twitched. “And you scare me. But I love you, and you love me. I trust you—all three of you. I never thought I’d ever be this happy.”

“Neither did I.” Hawke’s smile fell, his eyes glittering with emotion. “You’re a miracle I never thought we’d find. I shudder to think about what would have happened if someone else had gone to the train station that day.”

Sarah reached for him. “I would have come back here and found you.”

Love for them welled up inside her, so strong it threatened to choke her. “I love you so much.”

All playfulness fled as Hawke and Blade both closed in on her. Laying her head against Phoenix’s chest, she let her eyes close, loving the feel of their hands on her.

She could barely remember her life in Waco now. She’d found her life here. With them.

She’d found the happiness and security she’d never hoped to find here.

And the love she’d never thought possible.

Savage only in protecting and loving her, her husbands surrounded her with their strength and love, showing her a world of desire she’d never imagined.

  Epilogue

Phoenix walked out of the stable, only to feel something soft hit him in the back of the head.

Whipping around, he put his hand to his head. Seeing no one, he looked down to see that he’d been hit with a clump of soft dirt.

Eb walked up to him on the other side. “Her aim’s getting better. Maybe that’s from all the pistol lessons you’re giving her.”

Phoenix grinned. “She’s not so great at hiding, though. She giggles.”

  “Damn it!”

Phoenix looked over to see that Blade’s back had a circle of dirt on it.

Blade looked around, his eyes sparkling with challenge as he started toward the side of the stable. “When I find her—”

Shaking his head, Eb chuckled. “You know, of course, that everyone on the ranch is going to be talking about this. Who would have ever thought one little woman could make such a change in the three of you? We’d all just about lost hope.”

Hawke walked out of the stable just in time to hear Eb’s words. Smiling faintly, he glanced at Phoenix. “She’s behind the stable, laughing hysterically. Blade must have caught her.”

Phoenix grinned. “She’s in for it now.”

Hawke shrugged. “That’s why she did it.” He met Eb’s gaze. “She likes to play, and teasing us gives her the confidence she needs. She’s getting stronger every day.”

Eb nodded. “I heard she got a letter from her mother.”

Hawke nodded. “And it depressed her for days. Even though her mother’s happy now, and married, Sarah doesn’t like to be reminded of that time in her life.”

“Poor thing.” Eb shook his head. “She’s got spunk, though. No one ever thought any woman would be brave enough to take you on. She not only married the three of you, but she teases you in the way no man here would ever dream of.”

Phoenix laughed at that, thinking about the way the bosses were with their own wife. “I think everyone here could say the same about you. You and Jeremiah were bears until you brought Maggie here.”

Eb’s lips twitched. “Yeah, she gets away with a hell of a lot more than she should. Hell, keeping these women safe out here is gonna be a full time occupation.”

Hearing Sarah’s shriek of laughter, Phoenix turned in time to see her running around the side of the stable, with Blade hot on her heels. “Yeah, it will be, but having the women here brought life to this place. Why the hell is he letting her get away? He could catch her easily.”

Hawke turned to watch them, smiling indulgently. “He wants to drag it out. She runs fast in those moccasins, doesn’t she?”

The pride in his voice made Phoenix smile again.

Sarah had changed their lives in ways that constantly surprised him.

Blade would never have walked away from work to play before, and if he knew his brother, he, and Sarah would disappear for hours.

They each cherished the time they each spent alone with her.

Phoenix shared a look with Hawke before his oldest brother shook his head with a smile and strode back into the stable. “I thought my brothers and I were close before, but having Sarah in our lives changed even that.”

Eb smiled and glanced toward Jeremiah, who stood at the fence. “Yeah. I know. Dealing with a woman together has made Jeremiah and I even closer.” Slapping Phoenix on the back, Eb grinned again. “Wait until you have a baby together.”

Phoenix nodded, his smile falling as he watched Blade and Sarah ride out toward the cave where he’d first taken her.

If they’d changed Sarah, she’d changed them even more.

  * * * *

Sarah sighed and leaned against Blade, exhausted and elated after their time together. “You spanked me.” The memory of it still had the ability to excite her despite the numerous orgasms since then.

  “You deserved it.”

“It was just a little clump of dirt.”

Blade’s hand slid down her side. “It was just a little spanking.”

Looking up at him, she narrowed her eyes at him, fighting a smile at the happiness and male satisfaction shining in his eyes. “You look pleased with yourself.”

“I am. I spanked my wife for daring to throw dirt at me, and made her come four times. Wore her out so much that she couldn’t even dress herself.”

  “I was just resting.”

  “You were sound a
sleep, and didn’t wake up until I used my mouth on that pretty clit. Orgasm number four.”

Giggling at the memory, she slapped at him. “You’re too cocky.”

Blade’s brow went up. “I didn’t hear you complain when I was taking you.”

“You’re impossible!” She giggled again, her laughter becoming a moan when his hand covered her breast.

“Yet you seem to handle me just fine.”

Reaching up, she kissed his jaw. “I like the way you handle me.”

Bending, he touched his lips to hers, grinning as he lifted his head again. “I know.”

Sarah couldn’t help but laugh at him, turning again to watch their progress as they headed for home.

“I never imagined I could be this happy. Every day, I think I can’t get any happier, but I know tomorrow, I’ll be even happier.”

Blade bent to nuzzle the sensitive spot just behind her ear. “Of course you will. You don’t know what I have planned for you tomorrow.”

Smiling, Sarah closed her eyes and turned her head to press it against his chest. “Whatever it is, I’m sure I’ll love it. I love every day I spend with you.”

She woke every day with a smile now, and fell asleep every night in the arms of the men she loved.

Blade kissed her hair, his arms tightening around her. “So do I, love. So do I.”

They made every day an adventure, and surrounded her with the love and security she’d never take for granted.

As they approached the yard, both Phoenix and Hawke appeared, their smiles of indulgence and love warming her even more.

Smiling at each of them, she sighed, grateful every minute for the life she’d found with them.

  Nothing could be any better.
