  TEMPTATION TALES

  Story 13

There was just something about the deputy that looked familiar. It could have been his stark jawline, or his tight muscles, rippling up and down his arm. The similarity could have come in the form of his powerful frame or broad shoulders.

Although, the resemblance was from so long ago, that Cassie couldn’t be sure, since the look in his eyes was definitely different. There was no ravenous, power hungry monster, waiting to devour anything and everything in his path, but then again, there was a possibility that kind of terrible beast was something that people grew into.

The deputy was younger than his father and possibly saner.

Although, he might not have had the same look in his eye as his father, but he certainly had a hunger dwelling behind his pupils and she was beginning to settle on a good bet that need still had a lot to do with her.

Cassie smiled at the thought and cocked her head to the side, peering through the bars in the jail cell. The deputy smiled back at her in a goofy way.

He has no idea who I am, does he? She thought as she moved off of the bed and made her way towards him. She slid her arms through the bars and hung against them seductively, allowing her breasts to press against the iron, causing them to heave through the slits in a way that was sure to get his blood boiling.

She had hiked her shirt up, so that her flat stomach was showing and her bosom was nearly covered, while her skirt was cut off at the knee and her leather boots were purposefully made to be sharp and sexy.

  ***

When she was arrested, they had taken her hat and holster, which hung on the wooden hanger, just out of her reach. At night, the large set of keys that would have ensured her escape sat tauntingly in plain sight, right in front of her, but just too far away to grab.

During the day, however, the keeper of the keys was the sheriff. He certainly had control issues, but nothing as bad as the deputy’s father. He was a man that she would have liked to seen put down sooner than later, but since she was in this particular predicament and did not have any interest in sticking around after she got out of this particular bind, she figured that would have to do.

He sauntered towards her, with his stared badge flickering in the sunlight that streamed through the windows and his loosely fitting shirt tightening for affect as he swung his arms.

As he got closer to her, she realized that he had not shaved today, but the bristly semblance of a beard that coated his face only made him look sexier.

Yet, considering the step-relationship that he had to his father, she wasn’t entirely sure if she hated him or if she wanted to have her way with him. She supposed that only time would truly tell, but in the process, having both certainly wouldn’t be too terrible.

She smiled at the thought and envisioned the newspaper story; Not only did the infamous outlaw seduce the deputy, who just happened to be the son of the richest man in the county, but she killed him and left his corpse rotting away in a jail cell that was meant for her. Efforts to apprehend the outlaw have been unsuccessful.

Cassie laughed, but doubted the otherwise poor town would be able to string together so many actual words, much less enable the majority of the town-folk to read it, but she supposed, however they did it, they would get her point across.

  ***

“Don’t I know you?” The deputy asked, peering at her with handsome hazel eyes. They were the same color as his stepfather’s but that is where the similarity ceased to exist. Still, the fact remained that the blood of the man who made her the way that she was coursed through this deputy’s veins and if this was the only shot she had to hurt him, then she was going to take it, no matter what.

“I don’t know, officer…Do you?” She allowed her voice to lower and her lips slid into an alluring smile as he stood just out of her reach. Her eyes then turned slightly dark as she added, “You might have seen my face on a few wanted posters, but you know as well as I do that they rarely capture the essence of the person in question.” Once again, she thrust her body forward, so that she could give him a small visual taste of the perky, jutting, inviting breast that was meant to entice his inner manhood.

From the look in his eye and the heaviness in his breath, it looked as though it was working.

“Even though they try to entice the senses and allow people to know who the authorities, such as you, are in search of, it rarely extenuates the parts of the human body that people actually pay attention to, am I right?” She answered in a slow, almost growling voice.

The deputy stuttered a little, as Cassie pulled the fabric of her scantily clad shirt away from her full, flushed, naked skin just a tiny bit further, inviting him towards it with a sense of excitement and need. His breath seemed to get hung up in his throat as he sucked it in and his eyes grew wide in anticipation and attraction.

She knew that she had him hooked and it would only be a matter of time before her long, brown locks of hair and her womanly demeanor allowed for her escape and his death. However, like anything, the mood had to be right.

“No…” He answered, “It certainly wasn’t from a wanted poster, even though there are quite a few of them and you’re right…” He breathed in deeply before exhaling in an entranced way, “Especially with an outlaw like you, they always fail to exhibit your best attributes.”

She sneered at him and answered coyly, “It’s a damn shame, isn’t it?”

When his eyes moved up to her face, she winked at him, before falling back down to her bosom, so that his eyes would quickly follow.

“Women shouldn’t talk like that…” He answered, more seductive than judgmental.

Cassie moved so that either one of her partially exposed breasts wrapped around one single bar, as she moved to curl another bar between her legs, taking a suggestive stance, before she laughed and answered, “I might be a woman, but you and I both know that I am far from ordinary.”

“I do,” He answered as he nervously yanked at his collar and Cassie knew that in his mind, all he wanted to do was come into this cell, tear her clothes off of her and have his way with her.

In fact, that was exactly what she wanted to, because that would give her the chance to kill him and leave him just as she saw in her mind’s eye.

First, though, she had to get him on the same side of these bars, and she also had no issue with blowing his mind, before blowing his brains all over the wall.

She felt that it was the least she could do. She could not bear to think that a body like that should go to waste because of her lack of imagination.

“Then, where is it you know me from?” She cooed.

“I don’t know. Perhaps we knew each other when we were children…Did your family ever live here?”

The question made her blood boil, but she was able to control herself, because she needed to and also, because she felt that the man’s question was nothing but genuine. She gained the feeling that he was not yet spiteful and cruel, like his step-father. He was honestly searching for an answer.

That didn’t mean, however, that his question compelled her to be truthful. She shrugged and answered, “My family moved around a lot. Maybe we ended up in this town once or twice.”

“So,” he answered in something of a quiet voice, as though he was fending off disappointment, “You don’t remember me?”

She chuckled and answered, “I’ve met a lot of boys, Deputy…a lot of men too,” Once again, she turned her head, in an effort to connect with him further and she answered, “However, perhaps if we meet on more…intimate terms, I might remember a man like you?”

He shuddered again and she could almost hear his heartbeat racing through his chest. The tension between the two of them was so thick and continuously flowing, that she could almost reach out and touch it. He stumbled on his words as
he answered, “Uh…What do you mean? More…Intimate?”

Cassie’s lips curled up and a wicked grin and she leaned heavy against the bars before she answered, “Why don’t you come in here and make me remember you?”

His voice made a noise of nervousness as his jaw dropped opened, but before he could respond, the sheriff strutted into the jail and automatically, his eyes set on the deputy, “Stop fraternizing with the prisoners!” He commanded.

  ***

Looking as though he really did get caught in the act of something, the deputy spun around, stumbling on his feet as well as his words and he answered, “Yes, Sheriff….Sir…The prisoner just had a question.”

“I don’t care what she had, she is dangerous. Stay away from her, unless you want to end up with lead in your head,” He answered.

Cassie sneered at that Sheriff and answered, “Oh you have no idea…Why don’t you both come in here and I will show you a time you will never forget...” As the two lawmen looked back at her, she made it a point to run her tongue across her lips, causing them to become moist, luscious and inviting.

“Get back to work!” The Sheriff exclaimed to the deputy and then turned to towards Cassie and answered, “And I don’t want to hear another word from you…”

“Make me, big boy…What are you going to do?” She made a point of glancing down at his blue jeans and adding, “I certainly don’t think that could fill any kind of void if you tried…”

He glared at her and she once again, pressed herself against the bars, eyeing them both, with a challenge in her gaze, “Fine. I would be delighted for you to prove me wrong. I have quite a few voids and I am sure that given the right…stimulation, what I have to offer would make every wife, mistress and whore in the town could only dream of providing.”

The two of them stared at her for a moment and she thought, that this might actually be it, but eventually, the Sheriff just looked away and, not wanting to get into any more trouble, the Deputy did the same.

When she was sure that they were both now trying to make an effort to ignore her, she shrugged and slipped away from the bars, “Suit yourself,” she answered as she lay down on the bed.

She hiked up her skirt, so that the entirety of her bare leg was showing and she pressed her fingers against her womanliness before she groaned and breathed heavily with pleasure, more for effect than anything else. After all, her goal was to show them what they were missing out on, so that their brain was no longer the head that either one of them was thinking with.

When the two men looked at her, she winked and answered, “It’s alright. I bet I do it better anyway.”

As the pair tried their best to ignore her, even though both of them caught random glances every once and a while, she began to think about how she got to this point.

  ***

Cassie hadn’t always been like this. In fact, growing up, Cassie and the rest of her family were good, law-abiding citizens. Her mother and father owned a ranch and she was raised to be every bit of a lady. From her chores to her attire, she learned how, from a very young age, to be a proper wife.

For a good portion of her life, she grew up just as every proper girl her age should. There was no indication that even she knew this wild, unexplainable side to her existed.

That is, until that terrible day, when a rich lawyer settled in the town and began to take over. Within a few months, he took control of everything, from the police department to the mayor’s office. Him and his wealth just swooped in and cleaned the town out. Being that the community that Cassie belonged to was small and just recently settled town, when he first came to start changing things, they were happy. The community wanted to have some kind of order dictating their lives, but by the time they realized that he was completely taking over, it was too late to stop him. He had done whatever he was going to do and he had won.

Once he realized that he had complete control over everything in the town, he began taking what wasn’t his, but nobody stopped him; in fact, nobody even thought he could be stopped.

There was a sense of crazy in his eyes that everyone saw, but not one person in the town could stop and since they were so far away from any other town, out here in the middle of nowhere, the community couldn’t even seek out help. They tried a few times, but nothing ever worked.

Cassie’s father was one of the brave men who tried to get the rich man to fall off his pedestal. Unfortunately, few of the people he was working with got cold feet and gave his name to the rich man.

At first, nothing happened, but Cassie’s father was always waiting. Then, one day, while the wounds of the betrayal were still fresh, the rich man showed up on her father’s property and demanded that he give him his ranch.

He had brought the sheriff at the time along, a different man than the current sheriff, who was later shot and killed in duel to settle his gambling debts; but that didn’t help Cassie’s father any.

The rich man who owned the town told Cassie’s father that either he was to give his property to him and get out of town for good, or the sheriff would arrest him for conspiracy against an authority figure.

The man might not have been the government, but he certainly had the local authorities wrapped around his finger tight enough that he could easily rig a hanging. This town was infantile and had never had a hanging in it before. Even if the townsfolk disagreed with it, their own sense of morbid curiosity would draw a crowd. The crowd, as well as the act itself would send a message to the entire town that no matter what happened, no matter how unjust this system seemed, the rich man would always win and continue to rule with an iron fist.

It likely didn’t matter to him whether the whole town disappeared or not, so long as the rich man owned it.

Therefore, her father did all that he could do. He packed his bags and moved his family out of the ranch.

Cassie remembers where she was when her father told her that they had to leave. She was tending to her horse, Patches. He was a good horse and treated her well, but her father, who was scared for his life, told his daughter that she had to say goodbye to the horse and that she would likely never see him again.

The family then traveled farther out west, but eventually, her father died and her mother supported herself and her children by becoming a schoolteacher. However, that barely got the family by and so it didn’t take long for Cassie to figure out that the only way to get things in life was to steal them. She realized that she had to be tougher than her opponent and fearless if she wanted to survive.

So, one day, she stole a horse and rode back to her father’s old farm to take back what was hers from the rich man. She found that there was another family living there, but she never saw the rich man and so, she figured out that her plan was not going to go as smoothly as she had hoped. As ruthless as she wanted to be, there were some lines that she knew she would not be able to cross. She could not even try to take the ranch from this family in the same way the man had taken it from her own.

Therefore, she settled for taking the horse that the family still had, Patches. After all, that was the one thing on the ranch that was exclusively hers and of everything she knew that she missed the horse the most.

After leaving the ranch, she had gone from town to town, taking money and trying to score big. She would write to her mother, but there was never a way that she could ever figure out if her mother wrote back or even if she got the letter, but that was alright. She didn’t need her mother’s approval or support. The more alone in the world she felt, the stronger a drive she had to succeed in getting her revenge.

The next day, Cassie was awakened by the sound of food being slid under the bars.

When she woke up, she stared at the wooden hook where her keys previously stayed and noticed that he had already gotten them off and secured them to his person.

Once she had figured out the information she needed, her eyes slid over to the Deputy, who quickly answered, “Now, don’t you speak to me today. I don’t
have any interest in hearing what kind of devilry you have concocted.”

Cassie almost laughed, but instead, she turned it into a seductive chuckle before pouting and moving towards the man, “Really?” She asked, “You have no interest at all?”

“No,” he answered solidly, but as she came closer, she saw that he quickly became nervous. He backed away from the bars as quickly as he could and moved to sit down in the chair.

“To pick up where we left off yesterday, when we were so rudely interrupted,” She answered in a hot, suggestive tone, “I might not know where I know you from, but I would sure like to get to know you. You seem like a nice guy…A girl like me needs that kind of positive influence…” She gave him her best, flirtatious eyes and once again, pressed herself against the bars.
