Then the alibi, the way out for Book came. When it was George Watkis time to talk, the momentum swung to the boy.

The door to the courtroom opened, in walked Donnie in a hurried pace. He approached the bench, and displayed a tiny dent in his side.

“I ran into the room, before the shot, and took a stand in front of Book. This dent represents a ricochet, that killed his father.”

Donnie headed for the door, and it was time for George Watkis.

“I am not here to make a big speech, and I am for sure, not here to exonerate the boy. I am here to say that this boy has accelerated Electro-Tech.

“He literally, by himself, has my entire Research and development team coming to work, early and staying way past the close of the day.”

Booker Wade would get what he wanted after all.

“Thank you for this opportunity to know where I came from. I know God, in my heart would want it that way. Thank you for letting me know my family and my origin. These things are important to me. I can grow within my roots, take hold of the branches here, of my life; for they are my origin. They are strong, these branches of life, and they will make me what I am, a identity, human being.”
