“Better be careful with promises. People might actually expect you to keep them.”

“Trust me,” I said. “I always do.”

Harlow sipped the rest of her beer down as she turned my offer over in her head. I pulled out my wallet and threw down some money to cover my check as I waited for her answer. I slid from my barstool and leaned against it as the bartender came and stood in front of her.

“Want another beer?” the bartender asked.

“No, I think I’m good,” Harlow said.

She set her mug down and slid from her chair. Her eyes looked up at me, dazzled with excitement as a smile peeled across her cheeks. I grinned down at her as I removed another twenty from my wallet, tossing it down to cover her check.

“Keep the change,” I said as I held Harlow’s gaze.

I held my hand out to her, and she slipped her hand into mine. Her fingers were long, encompassing the whole of my hand as her softness lurched my cock. I led her from the bar and out towards my bike, stopping at it, I allowed her to take it all in. She walked around it, studying it as her fingertips slid across the leather seats of the bike.

I imagined what those fingertips would feel like on my naked chest.

“What do I do?” Harlow asked. “Where do I sit?”

I threw my leg over my bike and The beer it upright as I propped it up between my legs.

“Throw your leg over and wrap your arms around my waist. The smaller leather seat is yours to sit on, but you’re not ready to hold onto the handlebars at your side just yet. Holding onto me will give you more stability,” I said.

“Okay,” she said. “Just give me a second.”

I looked back and watched Harlow lift her leg. She slid it around the bike, adjusting herself on the smaller leather seat. She tried to get herself comfortable, wiggling around as her toes just barely touched the ground. I suppressed a grin as I felt her grab onto my leather jacket, her body wiggling closer towards me as she gripped tightly.

“Sorry,” she said with a giggle. “Almost done.”

“Take your time,” I said. “I’m in no hurry.”

It took her a few minutes to get settled, but soon she stopped moving. I cranked my bike up and sat there, letting her get used to the feeling of this vibrating machine between her legs. I felt her arms slip around my waist, gripping onto me tightly as her chest pressed into my back.

I could feel all of her curves as her cheek pressed between my shoulder blades.

  “Is this okay?” she asked.

“Perfect,” I said. “Now hang on. I’ll start slow.”

I backed us out of the parking space as Harlow twisted her fists into my black shirt. She was nervous. I could feel her shaking against my back. I walked the bike towards the exit of the parking lot and slowly turned onto the road, creeping at only ten miles an hour in the darkness of Henderson. I increased my speed as her grip settled out, her body becoming more comfortable with her exposed body whipping through the nighttime air.

Soon, we were riding through the barren streets of Henderson, Nevada, leaving the city limits and driving out into the red clay desert.

Harlow stayed silent as the desert encompassed the whole of us. There was nothing as far as the eye could see. No lights except for the one beaming from my bike. Her body was pressed deeply into my back. I could feel the swell of her chest as she breathed. I could feel the smile against her cheek as she nuzzled into me. She felt comfortable against the strength of my back. Her warmth blanketed me in peace I hadn’t experienced since all the bullshit kicked up with The Road Rebels months ago.

I wasn’t into corrupting innocent girls, but this one was making it hard for me to stick to my guns.

Her legs pressed against mine as the warmth of her pussy radiated against the small of my back. It seemed like every mile we progressed she found a way to get closer to me. Her hands were splayed out against my abs, and her arms were now resting on the tops of my thighs. Her grip had loosened, indicating that she was more comfortable, but her hands kept falling.

Falling, and falling, and falling some more.

Until they settled on the zipper of my jeans.

Her breathing was even against the leather of my jacket as my cock sprang to life. It grew against my jeans, threatening to push against her hands. I sped the bike up, hoping to channel my energy into something else as my breathing began to deepen. The stars were twinkling above our heads and the red clay cliffs of Nevada were nothing but shadowed figures on the horizon. We drove, and we drove, allowing the shit in our lives to fall into the background as Henderson receded to nothing but a dot on the horizon.

I needed to get off this bike. I needed to get away from her.

Because if I didn’t, I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to control myself. And I promised her I wouldn’t rope her into doing shit she didn’t want.

A lookout point was being advertised, and I got into the right-hand lane. I pulled off the deserted highway and started traveling down a sandy path that cut straight through the bleakness of the Nevada desert. It wrapped us around to a gravel parking lot that sat between the main highway and the shadowed mountains, illuminated by the moonlight dripping from the sky.

I set down my kickstand and shut off my bike, hoping Harlow would get the picture that it was time to get off. There was a bench we could sit on. To put some distance between our bodies. My hands were gripping the handlebars of my bike as I waited for her to shift. To swing her leg over the bike and slide off so she could take in the view.

But instead, she kept holding onto me, her cheek against my back as my heart thundered in my ears.

  “Sorry,” Harlow said. “Hold on.”

She slid from the bike and pulled her presence from me, allowing my cock to fall back into its rightful place.

Bullet number one dodged for the night.

  Chapter 6

  Harlow

I couldn’t believe I had ridden out here on a motorcycle. A real, roaring, fucked up motorcycle. I had been clinging to a man that tapped into a part of me I hadn’t indulged in years. His muscles rippled underneath my fingertips as I gripped onto every part of him. I knew I was pressing myself into his body. I knew I was getting too close for my own good. I knew what I was doing was a bad idea, but I couldn’t help it. It was like my rational mind was on vacation, and my impulses were taking over. Guiding me to do things I had never done and probably never would do again. I wasn’t the kind of girl who left with some random guy from a bar. I wasn’t the kind of girl who clung to men on the back of their motorcycles.

Hell, I wasn’t the kind of girl who regularly frequented bars in the first place.

But tonight was different. It started with the apartment and spiraled into dinner alone, leading me to try my first beer. To ordering my first basket of wings and eating them all by myself. So many firsts that I had been sheltered from. Simple things that normal people did on a regular basis. I had lived in this box for so long. This box I had allowed my father to create for me for the sake of safety and sanity. I was breaking boundaries set forth for me from the time I was born, and all of it felt exhilarating.

My body was craving more firsts. And that was exactly what I was going to give it.

I went from my first beer and basket of wings to talking to my first guy. Well, not really my first guy, but the first guy I didn’t run through my father’s filter first. It was the first guy I had talked to that went against every stereotype I told myself to stay away from. And that guy offered me my first ever motorcycle ride. Which led to the first time I had ever left a bar with a guy.

Now, I was staring at the shadowed mountains of Nevada for the first time as an adult woman. I was staring at the beauty of the land that surrounded me that wasn’t tainted by the dirty window of a driven town car. I stood by Fox, a man that destroyed every boundary I had ever set forth to keep my father’s worries at bay, and all I wanted was to reach out and take his hand again.

  So, I did.

  For the first
time in my life, I made the first move.

I reached out for his callused hand and wrapped my slender fingers around his skin. I could feel his arm pull taut, almost like he hadn’t expected the motion. I resisted the urge to drop the connection. To render my movement a mistake in an attempt to brush it off. Tonight, was the first night I was making decisions on my own, and I wanted to keep it going.

I wanted to keep giving my life what I wanted to give it.

I felt him relax as he opened his hand for me. He turned his palm up, capturing mine within his. He took a step closer to me as we stared at the view, the silence of the desert draped around us. There were crickets and birds calling in the distance. Snakes slithering and the wind whipping around our bodies. The pale moonlight was casting a glow down onto the desert that made the sandy tundra look like a twisted fairytale.

I looked up at Fox and jumped when I saw his eyes already trained on me.

  “What?” I asked.

  “Enjoying the view?”

“It’s beautiful out here. Aren’t you going to enjoy it, too?”

  “I already am,” he said.

I grinned, blushing underneath his gaze as I took a step closer to him. I threaded our fingers together, wanting more of him as I soaked at the moment. I was nervous and excited. Scared and hopeful. My body was buzzing with electricity, screaming at me to run and fight when there was nothing to run from or fight against. My thumb began to trace patterns on the top of his skin. Faceless drawings his skin would memorize. He pulled me closer to him, his hand releasing mine before he snaked it around my waist.

“Sorry. Did you not like that?” I asked.

I looked up into his beautiful blue eyes, watching as a grin spread across his cheeks.

“You apologize a lot. You know that?” Fox asked.

  “I know. It’s a bad habit. I’m so-”

I clenched my teeth together as a chuckle fell from Fox’s lips.

“There’s another way to silence those, you know,” he said.

  “What do you mean?”

“Besides clenching your jaw,” he said. “There’s another way to silence the apologies.”

  “I’m not sure I follow.”

  “Here, let me show you.”

I felt his arm tighten around my waist, drawing me into his strong body. My hands planted into his chest, feeling the beating of his heart underneath my fingertips. His breath was pulsing against my forehead as my mind began to swirl, knocking up against my skin with excitement as I turned my lips up to his.

I could feel the warmth of his breath against mine as our eyes connected.

“Show me then,” I said in a whisper.

His lips connected with mine and my world came to a crashing halt. The pretty little boxes on the shelves of my soul fell off the walls as the jars of my perfect kitchen crashed to the floor. The perfect world I had created for myself came crashing down in that very moment, taking with it all of the stereotypes my father had ingrained into me to keep me safe. I gripped onto the fabric of Fox’s shirt, pulling him closer as my tongue swiped across his lips. He allowed me access, our tongues colliding in a fiery dance as my hips pressed into his.

I could feel his groin growing, pulsing underneath my heat as our teeth began to clatter. His arms cloaked my back, covering the whole of me as I slipped my arms around his neck. He picked me up off my feet, allowing me time to wrap my legs around him as my hands latched onto the collar of his leather jacket.

I could taste the buttery goodness of the wings on his tongue as the beer on his lips warmed my chest.

My lips swelled from the attach as he raked his teeth across my lower lip. I moaned into him, my legs locking around his waist. I could feel his strength. The meat of his shoulders twitching for me as the muscles of his arms held me close to him. My pussy began to heat, and my tits rose to their painful peaks. A cloud rolled over the moon, showering us in darkness as Fox walked us over to the bench.

No one would be able to see us for miles, so I took yet another risk my body was aching for me to take.

I slid my fingertips underneath Fox’s shirt, allowing my hands time to feel the chiseled peaks of his muscles.

Our kissing grew frantic as my lips traveled his skin. Down his cheek and down his neck, raking along his pulse point as my hands danced on top of his body. His hands gripped my ass, holding their fill of it as I gripped my fingers into his back.

The groan that fell from his throat was music to my ears as my lips nibbled on his skin.

But then, I felt something vibrating against my leg. Three quick buzzes then a pause. Three quick buzzes then a pause. The pattern was distinct. Recognizable. Familiar.

I heard Fox groan as I sat up from him. But it wasn’t the type of groan I wanted to hear.

It was one of frustration as he dug his phone out from his pocket.

“Hold on, beautiful,” he said as he kissed my forehead.

And suddenly, as Fox picked up the phone and slid me from his lap, I felt like an idiot.

  Chapter 7

  Fox

I knew it was Mac. From the moment my fucking phone started vibrating, I knew it was him. Getting me to check in, so he knew I was okay. I should’ve sent him a damn message before the bike ride. I should’ve known he would’ve been calling me, in some sort of fucking panic just to make sure I was okay. I wanted to ignore the phone call. To pay attention to the innocent women who was growing bolder by the second. If I played my cards right, I could get her to take my cock right here. As the clouds covered the moon and left us with nothing but our moans and sighs.

I knew her pussy would be tight on my cock.

But the more it vibrated, the more I knew I had to pick it up. I grabbed onto this beautiful woman’s hips and slid her away, settling her body next to mine. I shoved my hand into my pocket and kissed her forehead, telling her to give me just a second.

Then I picked up the phone call and walked away.

  “What?” I asked.

“It’s fucking past midnight. Where the hell are you?” Mac asked.

“Out,” I said. “Sorry I didn’t check in. Just… blowing off some steam.”

“If you’re staying at your place for the night, you know the rules. Check in before you fall asleep and once you get up. Come on, Fox. This is bullshit. Don’t pull a Snake on me.”

“That the only reason you called?” I asked.

“No. I called because I just got done talking with Laiken.”

“Shit. That can’t be good if you’re calling about it. What’s up?”

“She overhead the DEA saying in her office today that a small group of Devil’s Saints rollers are on the move right now. They were spotted riding together, which hasn’t fucking happened in weeks.”

“Yep. They’ve been keeping a low profile. It’s why you took Snake and I off creeper detail,” I said.

“I want everyone back at the lodge as soon as fucking possible. In case these assholes start something or try to roll up on us.”

“Did Laiken tell you they were headed in our direction?” I asked.

“No, but I’m not taking any chances. Whatever night you’ve got planned for yourself, it’s gonna have to wait.”

“You couldn’t have led with that?” I asked.

“Who the fuck cares what I led with? Get back here, Fox. I’m serious.”

“If they’re keeping a low profile, then maybe they are putting a group together to scope the town. See if the DEA’s still here. I’m sure they know the government’s on to them. They’re crazy, but not stupid,” I said.

“Fox. You can get your pussy another time. Get your ass back here now, or don’t bother coming back at all. Got it?”

I gritted my teeth and swallowed my groan as I turned back towards my beautiful piece of ass. She was sitting on the bench staring at the stars, her hands tucked between her perfect legs. I was ready to taste her tonight. I was ready to see what all the fuss was about with these innocent little creatures. Talon
was all about innocent women, but I leaned more with Snake. I wanted a woman who knew what the fuck she was doing. No matter what.

But there was something about the way she had kissed me. The way she commanded herself and made all those first moves. On the outside, she looked innocent. But her actions were clearly not holy. I couldn’t believe I was gonna have to leave her.

Because my cock wasn’t ready to.

“Okay,” I said. “I’m on my way.”

  “See you soon,” Mac said.

I hung up the phone and stuffed it back into my pocket. I reached into my pants, then resituated my growing cock. I’d had to choose between a piece of ass and my club all the time, but all of those times I hadn’t been so desperate for it. The stress of all these shitty situations was getting to me, and I was ready to blow more than one load. I was hoping to fill at least two of the three holes this beautiful little angel had tonight.

And now? I wasn’t gonna be able to fill any of them.

I started back for her as her eyes descended onto mine. Whatever shell she had busted out of, she was now retreating back into. Her big doe eyes and her innocent little grin was back. She was rubbing her hands on her thighs like she was massaging them awake. She stood to greet me as I walked back up to the bench, and all I wanted to do was take her back into my arms.

Feel her fingertips on my skin again as she set my cock on fire.

  “Something’s come up,” I said.

“Oh. Is everything okay?” she asked.

“Yeah. Just some things with my job.”

“What do you do for work?”

“I’m a mechanic in a shop. But I have a few other side jobs as well.”

“One of your jobs is calling you after midnight?” she asked.

“I’m on-call this month for it, yeah.”

She nodded her head as she looked past my body. I could tell she was disappointed, and I knew how she felt. Despite her guarded appearance, she had been looking forward to this just as much as I had been. I could see the faintest outline of her nipples poking through her shirt as the cloud moved away from the moon. It bathed her skin in a faint glow as I licked my lips, thinking about what those pebbled beauties would taste like on the tip of my tongue.
