Review to a Kill Page 21

by Laura Durham

“Dead.” Fern said. “I checked already.”

I pulled my fingers away from the dead man’s neck and stepped back. “But what’s he doing down here?”

No one had an answer for me so I rubbed my temples and tried to convince myself that this wasn’t happening. You’d think it would be easy to avoid dead bodies at weddings, but either I had the worst luck in the world or the universe was telling me that I should quit wedding planning and become a coroner. And the week has started off so well.

  Acknowledgments

Huge thanks to my wonderful readers who waited patiently for the return of Annabelle Archer and her friends. Ending the original series was never my idea, and I’m thrilled to be able to bring the books back and continue the series. I’m lucky to have such amazing readers to write for!

A special shouts-out to my beta readers for their excellent feedback and for catching things I’d skimmed past. You all are fabulous!

All my love and appreciation to my husband who handles the technical aspects of my writing platform and keeps me from pulling my hair out when technology turns on me.

Additional thanks to all the people who have helped me navigate the indie author path (even the ones who don’t know how much of an impact they’ve had). I might not have made the leap if not for the lads at The Self-Publishing Formula podcast. Thank you to Mark Dawson and James Blatch for sharing your knowledge in the most charming British accents. I eagerly wait for the podcast each week! Also, the lovely Joanna Penn from The Creative Penn podcast has been a fount of wisdom. Plus, her laugh is just delightful (and her British accent just as charming as Mark’s and James’).

A virtual hug to Barb Goffman who has been a writing friend for nearly twenty years and is now my fearless copyeditor. A big thank you to my cover designer Keri Knutson for rebranding Annabelle and giving her such a sleek new look!
