Mistress Martie stopped at the entryway to the living room, where many people were gathered. “Go and get us a tray for breakfast and then meet me back in our room. If someone speaks to you, you may say good morning and tell them your Mistress won’t allow other words. Bring the tray to my room. You and I have things to discuss.”

“Yes, Mistress,” Jovina said as Martie started toward the door.

“And Jovina, don’t forget the cream for my coffee.”

Jovina quickly put together a tray filled with eggs, bacon, croissants, coffee, sugar, and cream. She could feel someone watching her, and she glanced around the room. Sir K sat at the table, staring. He nodded at her, and she lowered her gaze.

She picked up the tray and started for the door, stopping when he called her name.

“Don’t forget the berries. We have raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries.”

“Yes, Sir.” She stood while the caterer put two bowls of berries on the tray; then she started out again. She was sure Master Earnest had discussed last night’s events with Sir K, yet their host hadn’t brought it up. But she knew he would do it tonight. Sir K had announced to the group that Jovina and Avery were being punished, and he would tell them why. It would be embarrassing, and she wasn’t looking forward to it.

When she reached Mistress Martie’s room, Jovina balanced the tray on one hand while she opened the door. It wasn’t easy, but she managed to get inside without dropping anything.

Jovina placed the tray on the table, then turned to where Mistress Martie sat on the bed.

“Raise your hand,” the Domme demanded. Jovina did as she asked. “Repeat after me: I promise to tell the truth to whatever question my Mistress asks of me.”

It wasn’t something Jovina wanted to do, but she knew there was no way out of it. She repeated the words.

“Good. Now prepare a plate and give it to me before you kneel. I will feed you, and the interrogation will begin.”

The wonderful afterglow from the flogging and fucking were gone. Mistress Martie would now turn into Martie the lawyer.

  Things could get ugly.

  Chapter Five

“Are you ashamed that you’re a lesbian?” Martie asked the question before she took a sip of her coffee. The Domme sat in a chair, while Jovina knelt in front of her.

Jovina almost spit out the piece of egg Martie had just offered her. Instead she chewed softly and swallowed, giving herself time to think of an answer. “Ma’am?”

“I asked you a question. Are you ashamed of being a lesbian?”

  “No,” she whispered.

“You don’t like to suck cock, I bet,” the Domme said matter-of-factly. “Your favorite thing to do is lick a woman’s clit, then stick your tongue inside her, or am I wrong?”

  “No, Mistress.”

“You love pussy. You went to great lengths to make sure I got your number. Lady Rebecca tells me she’s watched you do a pussy bang, so to speak, eating three women out at a party. Lady Rebecca cropped you after each one, twenty hard swats across your ass before you moved to the next cunt.”

  Jovina blushed and looked away.

“Why are you ashamed of it?”

  “I’m not.”

Mistress Martie shook her head slowly. “You’ve been lying to yourself all this time. Why? I want to know the reasons before I judge whether or not you should be given another chance with me, because right now, I’m not happy.”

“How could you not be?” Jovina stared at her. “I’ve given you good orgasms. You said so yourself.”

The Domme frowned at her. “It’s not just about the physical side. If you deny who you really are, you only get half the experience. Plus you’re not letting people see the real you, which hurts everyone involved.”

“I’ve shown you the real me.” Jovina hoped she didn’t sound pissed off.

“Sexually, yes. But let’s move on to other things. Tell me, Jovina, about the first time you had sex with a woman.”

“I didn’t sign up for a review of my life.” Jovina stood. “I thought this was supposed to be a fun weekend.”

They both remained silent for a few minutes. “I’m getting too personal for you, is that it?”

“Yes.” Jovina sat down in another chair and turned her face away from Mistress Martie. What had happened here? She had gone from satisfying sex to being asked to tell her sexual history.

“The first time I had sex with another woman was in front of my husband, my now ex-husband,” Mistress Martie said. “He wanted to watch me eat pussy, and I was curious, so I did. I loved it. But even more, I loved it when the woman went down on me. I pulled on her hair and pushed her face deeper into my cunt. She loved every second of it. It was quite a blow to my husband’s ego when he discovered I wanted a woman more than I wanted him.”

Martie chuckled. “He was also pissed when he discovered I was a better Domme than a sub.”

Jovina jerked her head around. “You were a sub?”

“Oh, yes; we all go on journeys of self-discovery.” Martie smiled at her. “A year after my husband’s little experiment, he and I were divorced, and I was looking for a female sub. I found one that I kept until quite recently. Then she and I parted ways.”

  “I’m sorry,” Jovina said.

“So am I, but we split because we just didn’t click together. She wanted things I couldn’t provide for her, with knives and that sort of thing. I was too vanilla for her. I’m not into cutting and blood play.”

  Jovina giggled. “Me neither.”

“Now.” M leaned forward. “I put my cards on the table. Let’s see what you’re holding.”

“Yes, Ma’am,” Jovina said as she steeled herself to open her soul. “I’m part of a very traditional family. I had to fight my father to get him to let me attend classes at UNM in Albuquerque. I’m an artist. I love to paint, but Father says it’s not something you can make a living at. After two years at school, he called me home, and I went. He told me I was wasting his money and was needed in the restaurant, since one of my sisters had married and was having a baby.”

“But you weren’t the same person going home, were you?”

Jovina shook her head. “One night, my roomie and I got drunk. She told me she wanted to play with my breasts, that she thought they were beautiful.”

“They are rather spectacular,” Martie said. “Nice and plump. They would look really beautiful bound with my ropes.”

Jovina’s nipples tightened. “Come here, Jo-Jo. Kneel in front of me again.”

It would have been easy to say no, but Jovina still wanted the rest of this weekend. She knelt in front of the Domme, who asked her to continue her story.

“Like I said, we’d had a lot to drink. I took off my blouse and bra, and she sucked and played with me. Then she put her hands into my pants and made me come. It felt so good, better than when a guy had done it to me my first year in college.”

  “You wanted more.”

“Yes.” Jovina looked away again. “We started slow, playing with each other at night before we went to sleep. Before long we were having sex, usually a sixty-nine, at least twice a day. We bought vibrators and fucked each other with them. We had long make-out sessions where we would do nothing but kiss and fondle each other. I loved it. I loved her. We laughed together and did things like movies and dinners, and I thought she cared about me.”

There was a pause, and Jovina was sure Mistress Martie was waiting on her to continue. Finally, the Domme said, “What happened?”

“At the end of the semester, she said good-bye. She told me it had been fun playing lesbian games, but she’d decided she wanted a dick, a real one, inside her. She said we could meet in secret and eat each other’s pussies if I wanted.”

She didn’t want to continue this story, to let Martie know how she’d acted. Before the Domme could ask her what happened, Jovina continued. Best to get it all out now. “And I did. She had a boyfriend, but when she could, she’d come to my dorm, and we’
d have sex. We hid it from everyone.”

Martie muttered something that Jovina couldn’t quite make out. Then she said, “She made you feel as if it was wrong. The only thing wrong about it was hiding it from others. When did you meet Avery?”

“That same year,” Jovina said with a smile. “She was living next door to me, and she questioned why my friend came over so late all the time. I told Avery it was because I was tutoring her in Spanish. Then Avery invited me to a party, and she set me up with a guy. My lover told me I should go, because it would keep everyone from guessing what we were doing.”

The Domme didn’t say anything, but she shook her head in such a way that let Jovina know she didn’t like where this was going.

“The best part about meeting Avery is that she introduced me to BDSM. I loved it as much as I loved…her.”

Jovina watched the Domme turn her coffee cup slowly. “You keep saying ‘her,’ or ‘my lover.’ Does she not have a name?”

Nothing good could come from this. “She does, but her husband is…well, he’s…well-known. When she finally kicked me to the curb, she told me to keep my mouth shut.”

Jovina knew Martie would be surprised to hear her former lover was the wife of a much older, prominent New Mexico politician. Or would she? Something told her Martie knew a lot of people’s secrets.

“I think it’s time you came out of the closet,” Martie said, her voice soft. “You’re only hurting yourself by not admitting who you really are.”

Jovina shook her head. “No offense, but did you miss the part where I said my family was very traditional? My father would disown me, and my mother would cry for days and try to figure out where she went wrong. She would say, ‘All your other brothers and sisters are normal; why can’t you be?’”

  “Do you think you’re normal?”

“What does that mean?” Jovina asked with a frown. “Of course I do.”

“That’s what matters, Jo-Jo; how you see yourself.”

Jovina exhaled loudly. “It sounds so good, but the reality of it is different. When no one in my family speaks to me again, I’ll be miserable. My brothers and sisters, my nieces and nephews, my parents…they’ll all hate me.”

  “Why do you think that?”

Jovina was telling M more about herself than she’d ever told anyone. It would have been easy to say, “Just because,” but she knew M wouldn’t accept that.

“When I was a teen, we had a lesbian couple as our neighbors. My father hated it. He would do things to them to…get them to move.”

Jovina swallowed hard. This wasn’t something she was comfortable talking about.

“What sort of things?” Jovina knew there was an unspoken part of Martie’s question. “And did you help?” This conversation was straying into places she’d rather not go.

After taking a deep breath, Jovina said, “Things he could blame on area teens. Egging their house, toilet papering their trees, letting the air out of the tires on their cars.”

These memories didn’t make her feel good. Jovina could still remember her father shaking his finger at her and saying, “You see those women; they’re going to hell. That’s where people like them go.”

“But why, Father?” The question had been simple. It had earned her a backhanded slap. Jovina had never questioned him again.

“So your father, the asshole, taught you to hate lesbians.”

“I didn’t know that’s what they were at the time. It took me years, and one of my brothers telling me that the women didn’t like men, to figure out what was different about them.” Jovina cleared her throat. “I remember hearing one of the woman talking to my mother one day, telling her they just wanted a place in a small town where they could live a quiet life, in a house where they could have a garden, and, possibly, raise a family.”

  “And?”

“They were gone within six months. My family was very clear on the rules,” Jovina said. “Men and women went together. Men could fuck whomever they wanted, but women had to be virgins on their wedding night. If you didn’t follow the rules, there was something wrong with you. In my case it would mean I was a slut.”

  “And sluts were banished?”

“Basically. Dad fought sending me to school, but Mom finally convinced him. The last thing he said to me before I left for Albuquerque was that if I dishonored the family in any way, I would be on my own.” Jovina sighed heavily. “He meant it too. He’s not the type of parent who says they’ll not bail their kid out if he gets arrested and then turns around and does it. If I were in jail, my father would leave me there. And if I told him I preferred the company of women over men, he’d disown me, and the family would follow suit because they’re all afraid of him and afraid of losing their part in the family business.”

“Maybe.” Martie shrugged. “But then again, maybe they will react differently than you think. My parents were pissed too, but they came to terms with me being a lesbian. My ex hates me, but even he has to admit, I think, that we weren’t that happy before. We tolerated each other. Don’t be the person who tolerates her life instead of living it, Jovina. You’ll hate yourself in the end.”

Tears stung Jovina’s eyes again, but she blinked them back. “Thank you, Ma’am, for the advice.”

“You’re welcome,” Martie replied. “No sex for you the rest of the day. I’m going to go and play. You’re going to stand with your nose in the corner until I get back. I’m very disappointed that I had to hear about the fight from Master Earnest.”

“Forgive me, Mistress,” she said, sure she’d said it before, but wanting to make sure the Domme knew she meant it.

“I do.” M inclined her head toward a corner. “If I’m gone too long you can kneel, but either way I want you facing that wall when I return. You may keep a bottle of water nearby, and visit the facilities as needed.”

  “Yes, Ma’am.”

Jovina went to the corner. She hoped she hadn’t screwed things up with Mistress Martie.

  * * * *

This was not a night Jovina wanted to repeat. She was tied to a chair, facing Avery. At first they’d been able to look at each other, and then Sir K had decided they needed to be blindfolded.

Jovina thought he was angry because he hadn’t been included in the punishment phase of this part of the weekend, and he added the blindfolds so he could take part. Whatever the reason, both Mistress Martie and Master Earnest had agreed it was a good addition.

She could hear what was happening, listen to the moans and groans of subs and Doms/Dommes as they received, or gave, whippings and orgasms. Of course they could do be doing any number of things. Only the sounds of leather striking flesh and the cries that accompanied them let her know part of what was happening.

  “Avery?”

“Shut up before you get us into more trouble.”

The words seemed to burn into Jovina’s skin. There was a time when she and Avery had shared everything. Now that was gone. She wouldn’t let her ex-friend blame her for everything.

“You were the one who went ballistic, not me.” Jovina made sure her voice was low.

“I said shut up. I’d like to get fucked tonight, and if I behave, Master Earnest said he might reconsider. So keep your fucking mouth shut, okay?”

Jovina did as she asked. She was happy for the blindfold, because then her friend couldn’t see that the harsh words had made her cry.

Mistress Martie had told her that being herself would help Jovina live the life she wanted. So far, when people found out what she really wanted, all it had done was cause Jovina problems. Avery had been disgusted. If this was the way her best friend acted, how would her family handle the news? If they disowned her, where would she go?

All her life she’d had a core group around her, people who loved her and supported her. But in her heart, Jovina knew that support would disappear if her father learned his daughter was a lesbian. He’d toss her out on her ass, and she’d be alone.

The fear of not being around the
people she’d always counted on was deep. It would be like they’d all died at once, leaving Jovina alone, floating through the universe without a tether.

She couldn’t count on Mistress Martie. This was just a weekend thing for Mistress Martie. So that’s what it had to be for Jovina too. She’d have a good time with M, give the Domme the best orgasms she could provide, and then she’d go back home and settle into her life as an old maid.

The hardest part would be resisting her family’s push for her to marry. They were doing it already, and as the years passed, it would get worse. But she’d find a way to get around it.

After all, she’d done it her whole life.

  Chapter Six

This was so much better than the night before. Jovina’s arms were tied above her head, her legs in a V and held apart by a spreader bar. Mistress Martie stood in front of her. The Domme had a length of rope in her hands, and her gaze was focused on Jovina’s breasts.

“This is the perfect position,” Martie said. She dropped the rope from one of her hands before she reached out and squeezed Jovina’s breast. “Your college lover was right about your breasts. They are perfect.”

“Thank you, Mistress.” The Domme’s touch felt so good. It was the first time Martie had played with her since the previous evening. After the punishment phase was over, Martie and Jovina had gone back to their room, where Jovina had been ordered to stand in the corner once again.

When it was time for bed, Jovina had curled up on her mat beside Martie’s bed, wanting nothing more than to put her head between Martie’s legs. During the morning, Martie had kept Jovina on a leash, but now was the first time Martie touched her. The tension inside Jovina’s body was tremendous, and she knew she’d have to fight to keep from having an orgasm before Martie gave her permission.

They were alone in one of the playrooms alone. Jovina preferred it that way. She’d listened this morning as Sir K had informed M he’d given Avery to Master Earnest. The two of them had left the party that morning. Jovina was sure that Avery would be happy with her new life, since she’d expressed a liking for Master Earnest before. But it bothered her that the last words they’d spoken had been in anger. Avery hadn’t even asked to see her before they’d left. Jovina was pretty sure Master Earnest would have allowed the meeting, and so would M.
