Jace's Trial Page 22

by J M Wolf

Sex with Brett was rough, forced and painful, and with Adam it was great, and I got off, but there was no real spark between us. With Gerard, my God, the feeling of being made love to by this man was a sensation that couldn’t be described. The intensity, the passion, the love, the tenderness; it was all mixed in to create a feeling that I’d never experienced. So, this was what it felt like to fall in love. This was what it felt like to have someone love you.

Gerard curved his arms some to the right, and I began feeling him thrust into my prostate. My hands entwined with his tightened, and I whimpered, wanting so badly to come. Wave upon wave of pleasure washed over my body like an angry storm, but instead of wanting to make it to shore, I wanted to drown in the current.

My mouth reached up and attacked Gerard as our sweat-drenched bodies mashed together. The rocking of his hips rubbed against my achingly hard cock, and I felt the burning sensation building up once again.

  “Gerard,” I cried out.

“I know. I’m close too,” Gerard growled thrusting harder into me.

My legs tightened their hold around Gerard’s hips as my body clasped around his dick inside me. I cried out into the man’s mouth as I felt my release spill out in aggressive streams like a geyser. My death grip on Gerard’s cock must’ve set him off because he pushed into me harder a couple more times before he fell still, and I felt his cum unloading and filling the condom. Gerard managed a couple more thrusts, making sure to milk every last drop out of him before sliding down beside me panting. My body ached from head to toe, but I also felt complete. I looked down to see the smearing of my release along Gerard’s and my lower abdomen.

Not caring how sticky and sweaty we were, Gerard wrapped his arms around me and turned us over so he was the one on his back and I was on top. I felt his cock softening inside me, but he hadn’t pulled out yet. He held me tightly against him, an arm around my shoulder and his free hand running up and down my slicked spine. He placed a gentle kiss on the top of my head as his breathing slowly returned to normal.

“I love you, Jace,” Gerard whispered.

“I love you too,” I croaked out smiling against the man’s chest before exhaustion finally consumed me.

  Gerard

“Are you sure you’re ready to do this, Bluejay?” I asked as we sat by the Dean’s office at Juilliard, waiting to have a talk with him.

When he told me about wanting to talk to the Dean of Juilliard before we headed home, I wasn’t sure what to think. To be honest, I wanted him to do it after discovering what that bastard professor did to him, but I didn’t want to push him. Jace was making great progress in being himself again and I was afraid of bringing him down. I wanted him to overcome all his obstacles.

Once Jace told me about that kid Jesse who called to him and what was said between them about Brett and Juilliard, I knew it was time that asshole got what he deserved. I still wanted to kick his ass for trying to attack Jace the other day, but I’d settle for making sure he couldn’t harass another student again.

I turned to steal another glance at Jace who seemed to be holding himself high with determination.

“I am,” he said with no hesitation. “This is something I should’ve done ages ago. I spent so much time ignoring my problems, running away and hiding from them. It’s time to stop avoiding them and face them.”

I was speechless by how much Jace had grown in the last two weeks. He had gone from being a shy, timid young man who didn’t have much reason to live to being someone strong and proud. I knew this was the Jace that Riley remembered. The Jace I was wanting to meet. This was the Jace I had grown to love.

The door to the office opened and a man who I assumed was the Dean popped his head out to look at us.

“Come on in, gentlemen,” the man said with a smile before retreating into his office.

Jace took a deep calming breath then stood up and went inside with me following inside.

“Hello, Dean Richmond. It’s good to see you again,” Jace said softly.

Dean Richmond looked to be around his early fifties with salt and pepper wavy hair and thick framed glasses, wearing a charcoal grey suit that fit perfectly around his frame. He was a handsome man who seemed right at home in his office. This was a man who loved his job.

“Jace Garrison!” Dean Richmond beamed with joy. “As I live and breathe, I never thought I’d see you again.”

Once all the introductions took place and we were all seated, Dean Richmond looked to Jace with his arms resting on his desk. “How have you been, Mr. Garrison? I heard about your father from Mr. Walker last year. My condolences on your loss.”

“Thank you so much. I struggled for a long time after my father’s passing, but I’ve been doing a lot better now.”

“Oh, I’ve noticed. You know I had students who attended Mr. Walker’s concert last night, and the buzz about your performance is all over the school. Nice to see you’re still performing.”

Jace ducked his head, face flushing with embarrassment and I couldn’t help but laugh as I wrapped my arms around him.

“He was amazing last night and was even offered a contract at Kaleidoscope Records,” I added unable to stop myself from gloating.

“Well that doesn’t surprise me. You were always gifted, Mr. Garrison. I’ve known that from the start. It was a shame that you dropped out. You were truly missed.”

Jace calmed himself before looking back up at the dean. “That’s kind of why we’re here, Dean Richmond. There was a reason why I left, and I needed to discuss it with you. It’s very important.”

Dean Richmond sat back in his chair, forehead furrowed with concern. “Did something happen?”

Jace looked to me and I held his hand giving it a gentle squeeze for reassurance. He spent the next half hour telling Dean Richmond everything that went on between him and Brett Summers. About how the professor pursued and seduced him. About the abuse that Jace went through and the threat that was made if Jace said a single word to Dean Richmond. I already knew the whole story, but it was still hard to listen to. Looking to Dean Richmond, he wasn’t fairing any better. I could tell the older man was mortified that this happened right under his nose.

“And you said this went on for a little over a year?” Dean Richmond asked in a low voice.

  Jace nodded.

“Do you have any proof that you can show me of this relationship? Don’t misunderstand me, I can tell that you’re telling me the truth. You were a good student and one with a lot of passion. I don’t believe you’re the type to make this up. But we need some proof to make the investigation run smoother.”

“I understand, and I have text messages that were sent between me and Professor Summers during and after the relationship. Would that work?” Jace asked.

The Dean nodded and Jace pulled out his phone and pulled up the messages before handing it to the Dean.

Jace and I sat in silence while the Dean scrolled through the many texts between Jace and the professor. When he was done, the Dean handed Jace back his phone and rubbed his face, looking tired and aggravated.

“I don’t even know where to begin,” Dean Richmond sighed. “First off, Mr. Garrison, I am truly sorry this happened to you while you were a student in my school. As the Dean, part of my job is to ensure the safety of the students here, and I failed to do that with you.”

“You’re not to blame for this,” Jace said calmly. “Professor Summers made sure you never knew what was going on. It was my fault for letting it go as long as it did, and not saying anything. I should’ve gone to you the moment it started.”

“It appears we both made some errors,” Dean Richmond said with a grin.

“There’s more that you should know about,” I added.

The Dean looked to me and then to Jace. “What else?”

“Yesterday a senior from Abingdon High School named Jesse Harris came to talk to me. He was trying to earn a scholarship here for the dance program.”

  “Ah yes, Mr. Harri
s. Yes, I’ve heard about him.”

“Yeah, well he told me that a talent scout stopped by a couple days ago to talk to him, and that scout was Professor Summers.”

  Dean Richmond’s eyes widened. “No.”

Jace nodded. “Jesse stopped him before anything more happened, but mentioned Professor Summers was touching him inappropriately and suggesting sex as payment for making sure he got the scholarship.”

“Around that time, your professor also harassed Jace and nearly assaulted him,” I added.

Dean Richmond looked downright pissed and disgusted. I could hardly blame the man, but at least now he knew the truth, and hopefully something could be done about Brett Summers.

“Thank you, gentlemen, for bringing this to my attention. Mr. Garrison, I’ll never be able to apologize enough for the horrible experience you had here, but I can assure you that something will be done about this immediately. As for Mr. Harris, I will be sure to give him a call, so he can tell me the whole story about his experience. I can promise you all that Professor Summers will not only lose his job here, but will never work in the school system again.”

Jace gave the Dean a warm smile and I could see the relief in his expression. “I thank you for the opportunity you gave me while I was a student here, Dean Richmond. If I may, I do have one request?”

  “Anything,” Dean Richmond said.

“Jesse Harris is a very talented dancer. I’ve seen it personally and I highly recommend him. If you would grant him the scholarship, that would be great. Trust me when I say that he deserves it.”

Dean Richmond chuckled. “I will go over his application and see what I can do for him. Thank you again for bringing this to my attention, and I wish you the best of luck in your future career, Mr. Garrison. And please give my regards to Mr. Walker when you see him.”

Jace and I got up from our seats shaking the man’s hand and made our way out of the office. Once we were walking down the hallway, I wrapped an arm around Jace’s shoulders pulling him closer to me and kissed the top of his head.

“I’m so proud of you for doing this, Bluejay. How do you feel?” I asked.

Jace looked up at me, and in his eyes, I could see another mental wall breaking down.

“Like a huge weight has been lifted,” he said softly.

We were halfway down the hallway when a voice called his name from behind us. Jace’s body froze and he and I both recognized whose voice it was before we even turned around. It was Brett’s. Jace turned to face the man with his arms crossed over his chest. No traces of fear in his expression.

“What are you doing here?” Brett asked.

“I was here to do what I should’ve done a long time ago,” Jace responded in a strong voice.

Brett narrowed his eyes in confusion. “Which is?”

“Turning you in to the Dean.”

Brett’s face paled in horror, but quickly morphed into anger. “You did what?”

“You heard me.” Jace took a few steps closer. “It was bad enough you made my life a living Hell, but you had to come to my hometown to harass someone else? How many more students did you go after, Brett? Huh?” Jace held up a hand and said, “You know what, don’t answer that. I don’t want to know, and it doesn’t matter anyways. You won’t be terrorizing anyone else here again, and from what I hear, your life’s about to get a lot more chaotic.”

“You little shit! I’ll get you for this! I will ruin you!” Brett screamed then marched toward Jace reaching a hand out to him.

Jace didn’t even flinch as he backed away, but I interjected and grabbed the asshole professor by his wrist before he could grab my boyfriend. I twisted his arm back and got the prick down on his knees gripping his wrist tight, itching to snap it like a twig. My face was neutral as I held him down.

“As much as I would love to break both your hands, so you never touch a soul again, I suggest you stay the fuck away from Jace, or I may just break more than that,” I growled in his ear.

Brett tried to break free from my hold, but it was useless. I weighed far more than him, and all my training assured that he wouldn’t be moving any time soon.

“Mr. Summers!” a voice called out ahead of us.

We all looked to see two campus security officers making their way toward us. Brett tried again to break free from my hold, but I still held my grip even as I pulled him to his feet. Students began stepping out of their classrooms to see what all the commotion was about and were whispering and waiting to see what happened next with wide eyes.

“Mr. Summers, we have orders to escort you off the premises immediately,” one of the officers said as both men grabbed hold of Brett’s arms.

I let go of the man as the security team pulled them back leading them toward the other end of the hall.

Brett was screaming all sorts of nonsense and shouting Jace’s name, but we ignored him.

I turned to Jace and looked down at him to make sure he was still sane. “You okay, Bluejay?”

Jace took a moment to close his eyes, taking a deep breath to calm himself. Once he seemed more relaxed he nodded. “Let’s go home.”

We arrived back in Abingdon late that evening. The sun was long gone when I saw the very familiar Welcome to Historic Abingdon sign. When I parked in front of the house, Jace and I grabbed our bags and scurried inside. As soon as the door opened, the word Surprise echoed along the walls as a whole crowd of people jumped up from their hiding places.

Confetti rained down on us as a room full of our loved ones clapped and cheered. I looked up to see a banner that read Congratulations, Bluejay. This was a celebration for Jace getting a contract with Kaleidoscope Records. I turned to Jace to see him covering his face in embarrassment. I chuckled at his cuteness and urged him inside.

Desiree ran up to Jace and hugged him tightly, tears streaming down her face. Her long blonde hair was tied back into a ponytail, and she was wearing white pants and sandals and a t-shirt that also said Bluejay on the front. Looking at the sea of people, I noticed they were all wearing t-shirts that bore Jace’s name on them. The love that these people had for Jace was infectious.

“I’m so immensely proud of you, sweetheart,” Desiree said sounding like a real proud mother.

Jace held his aunt tight, but kept his eyes on me. “Thank you.”

“Congratulations, buddy.” Jace’s boss Malcolm walked up to Jace and clapped him on his back.

“You’ve earned this, Jace. This was what you’ve been waiting for,” Patricia chimed in looking as lovely as ever.

“I hope you didn’t mind me telling everybody.” Adam walked up and took Jace in his arms.

The young red-head looked less flashy with his Bluejay T-shirt, faded jeans, blue hightops and a rainbow zip-up hoodie. It was casual, but still held that flare of being colorful that I was beginning to suspect was what Adam was known for.

“No problem at all,” Jace responded looking to everyone then back to his best friend. “But what are you doing here? I thought you weren’t scheduled to arrive until tomorrow.”

“I got in early to help set this up for you. Everyone wanted to congratulate you.” Adam beamed with pride.

“Really? You all did this for me?”

“Of course we did this for you!” Patricia exclaimed.

“Yeah, we all knew you had a musical gift ever since you were four. We were waiting for the day we’d get to see your name in lights,” Malcolm chimed in.

Desiree began brushing the strands of hair back from Jace’s face. “I know you probably wish your father was here to see this, but I know for a fact that he’d be very proud of you. Not just for this, but because of the man you have grown up to be. The man we all thought was lost somewhere inside you, but you seemed to find again.”

Jace turned to me, but addressed everyone in the room. “I have Gerard to thank for that. He’s the reason why I am able to enjoy life again.”

Everyone in the room agreed, and I felt a sense of satisfaction in knowing that
they all believed I changed Jace for the better. They welcomed me into their lives despite no longer being tied to Riley. They included me, and for once, I knew what it was like to have a loving family. I loved my parents a great deal, but I knew they didn’t feel the same. They tolerated me, but only because I was partially becoming the son they wanted me to be. They stopped loving me the moment I told them I was gay.

Here, in Abingdon, I felt the love I was supposed to have gotten from my blood family. To hell with them and their expectations, I was done. This was what mattered to me. I stared into the eyes of the young man who held my heart, and I knew that even though our family believed that I changed him for the better; Jace Garrison changed me.

I reached for my young lover and held him close. “And I’ll continue to make sure you enjoy life for as long as we live.”

Our family awed at our love for each other. Jace reached up and kissed me for everyone to see, and they all cheered in unison.

“Now that the happy couple is done fucking each other with their mouths let's get this party started!” Adam shouted, and Patricia smacked him for his wild tongue. Lord knew the woman must’ve had some patience to raise Adam.

We sat outside on the patio for dinner, all around a wide rectangular table. Everybody was talking, laughing and having a great time. Jace seemed to be at peace, which warmed my heart. He was in the middle of reminiscing old times with Adam and I could see how close they were. I was beyond grateful that Adam helped him achieve his dream.

“Have you thought more about what we discussed the other day?” Malcolm said quietly next to me in a tone that only I could here.

I turned to the older man. “I have.”

  “And?”

“And I love him, Malcolm. I love Jace.”
