"Where is the little bitch Rozalyn? If Tae is unable to make the trade then we want her," the caller said.
I shook my head no repeatedly, not that I wouldn't do anything to get my baby back but what if I did something wrong. It would all fall on me and I didn't want that burden on my back. I was already dealing with enough.
"She is right here and she can do it," Taron said confidently while looking at me.
"Good ‘cause you only have 30 minutes to be here or the deal is off and the baby is dead. Be sure you come alone Rozalyn," the caller said before hanging up.
"Be where? Oh my God I can't do this! Ron, why did you tell them I would do it?" I exclaimed. My body suddenly felt numb, the contents of my stomach were threatening to come up, and sweat began to gather along my forehead.
"Rozalyn we don't have time to waste! You gotta do this! If you wanna bring Tamarion home then you gonna have to go through with it! Suck the damn tears up and get ready to go," Taron stood up from the table while scrolling through Tamar's phone. "Go get the money while I look through his messages to see if they sent the address."
"Okay, okay." I said after standing up and rubbing my sweaty palms against the threads of my pants. My legs felt like they were made of spaghetti as I walked to the guest bedroom where I'd been camping out for the past few days. I walked over to the closet and grabbed the two duffle bags that Tamar stashed earlier this morning when he came by. Both bags together had to weigh as much as I did if not more. I dragged the bags to the dining area where everyone was waiting with somber and frightened looks on their faces. It was if they were looking at me for the last time. No matter how scared I was or how scared they may have been for me, this was something I had to do. I had to get my baby back. Taron tucked the pistol he pulled out on Brandon a couple of hours earlier into the back of my pants.
“Just in case you might need it. I hope you know how to use it,” Taron smiled nervously. He and Kevin each grabbed a bag and walked outside to the car. Taron popped the trunk on his champagne colored Dodge Charger then tossed me the keys.
“Be careful baby girl. If it don't feel right just turn around and come back. We'll have to figure out another way to bring nephew home, a’ight?" Kevin said as he hugged and kissed me on the cheek. "Call if anything goes wrong. Taron and I are gonna be a couple of blocks away."
"Are you..."
"We'll make sure we not seen. We just wanna make sure we not far away in case something goes wrong," Kevin said.
I shook my head understanding and took Tamar's cell phone from Taron. He already had the address pulled up on the maps so I would be able to go directly to it. I said my good byes then jumped in the car ready to head to my destination. God please let me get my baby back. I thought as I pulled away from the curb and down the street.

I made it to the park with only 2 minutes left to spare, the moment I pulled up I received a text telling me to get out the car and walk to the red monkey bars. I wasn't sure who the kidnappers were or what they looked like but they damn sure knew who I was. I placed the bags next to my feet and crossed my arms over my chest trying my best to be discreet. There were a few families in the park watching their children play, runners jogging around the mile long path, and vendors selling ice cream and hot dogs.
So far no one was paying me any mind except for the bastards that stole my damn baby. I didn't know what direction they would be coming from but I could feel them watching me. Felt their eyes planted deep into my skin. I slowly turned around in a circle where I was standing looking to see if I spotted anyone that looked like they would snatch a baby. Looking for anyone that had criminal like eyes but nothing. No one seemed to stand out.
I looked down at my feet making sure the bags were still there then turned back in the other direction; that's when I spotted her. I should've known from the call earlier; should've picked up on it then why the voice was so familiar. Danesha strolled down the long passage way, wearing a hoodie, sunglasses, a dark pair of jeans, and white tennis shoes. She had the hoodie pulled over her head trying to disguise her features but I knew exactly who she was. Her dark skin was just as beautiful as our mom's. Even with the roundness of her belly, she still had a frame that would turn the heads of most men.
“Hey sis. How are you?" Danesha smiled from ear to ear once she was within feet of me.
"Nesha, where is my son?" I asked not really feeling the introductions. I was ready to hand her ass the damn money and get my son back.
"Is that the money?" Danesha asked pointing towards the duffle bags.
"Nesha, where the fuck is my son? I can't believe you right now! What did I do to you and mama for ya'll to do me like this?"
"As if you don't already know," Danesha stepped a little closer to me causing me to block the bags with my body. I was not about to let her take anything until I seen Tamarion. "Bitch just hand over the fuckin’ money."
"I'm not giving you shit until I see Tamarion. Where is he?" I asked quickly scanning the park to see if I saw anyone with my son. "He's your nephew Danesha! He hasn't done anything to you!"
"I don't give a fuck about him or you! Look he's waiting over there. See the guy sitting over there with the stroller, wearing the hoodie. As soon as he sees I have the money he's gonna leave your brat ass son over there. Just step away from the money," Danesha stepped even closer to me.
Knowing I shouldn't have, I looked over my shoulder to see if she was telling the truth. Before I could even spot the guy she was talking about, Danesha pushed me down to the ground, grabbed the two duffle bags and hurriedly walked back in the direction she came from. I jumped up from the ground, looking around for the guy that supposedly had my son. Once I spotted him I took off full speed in his direction. He stood up once he saw me coming and jogged off in the other direction.
"I'm coming Tamarion," I cried out. I was only feet away from the stroller once I realized that I'd been tricked. Tamarion wasn't in the stroller; it was a big ass baby doll, wrapped up in a blanket. "Nooooo!"
I took off in the opposite direction to where Danesha had ran, trying to catch up to her before she'd gotten away. Fortunately she was having a hard time carrying the weight of the bags along with the weight of her baby.
"Danesha, where is he?" I yelled running behind her. She picked up her speed but unable to get too far; I jumped on her back tackling her to the ground. I punched her in the back of her head as hard as I could, grabbing a hand full of her hair then slamming her face into the concrete ground "Where is my son Danesha?"
I got off of Danesha, remembering I had the pistol that Taron gave me. I pulled it out and pointed it at the back of her head. "Danesha tell me where he is before I blow your fuckin’ head off! I'm not playing with you!"
She slowly rolled over onto her back to look up at me. Her face was covered in bruises and leaking with blood. I didn't want to shoot my sister but for the sake of my son I would. She had to know I wasn't playing with her ass; this was bigger than what her and my mama did to me. It was much more than what I had to go through in Beijing ’cause of them. It was about an innocent child that had nothing to do with the greed and jealousy these monsters had for my husband and whatever hatred they had for me.
"Danesha, I'm a ask you one more time! Where is he?" I screamed. She slightly grinned at me, flashing the same devilish smile that she always wore when she was up to no damn good. I glanced over my shoulder to see the same man wearing the hoodie coming towards us. As quickly as I could I turned in his direction and fired the pistol.
Click!
"Fuck!" I yelled when the gun didn't do anything.
WHAM!
He punched me in the face, sending me flying to the ground next to Danesha. The pistol dropped a few feet away from me. Dazed and unable to stand from the blow immediately; I watched as he helped Danesha from the ground and grabbed the bags. They continued towards the direction Danesha had been running previously.
Slowly I got up from the pavement, shook off the dizz
iness, and grabbed the gun from the ground. This time I was sure to remove the safety as I ran after them. Tears began to flood my eyes the closer they got to the awaiting vehicle in the parking lot.
POW! POW! POW! POW!
I fired the gun as many times as I could but to no avail ’cause they were jumping into the car and peeling out of the parking lot. I tucked the gun back in my pants and ran towards my car that was parked in the next open parking lot at least 200 feet away. My body was so worn down, I felt so out of it and wanted so bad to give up but I knew I had to try my best.
I made it to the car as quickly as I could, jumping in the driver's side, cranking it, and dashing out of the parking lot. Careful not to hit any of the pedestrians that were either running the path or making their way back to their vehicles.
I wasn't sure which way they had went but I drove hoping that I would run into them. I pulled my cell phone from my pants pocket and speed dialed Kevin's number.
"Hello," he answered after the first ring.
"Kevin, they didn't give him to me! They took the money and ran!" I cried frantically looking around for the Black Chrysler 300.
"Where are you?" Kevin asked.
"I'm trying to find them! They driving a black Chrysler 300 Kevin. I gotta find them; I gotta get Tamarion back. I can't lose another baby!"
"Damn, we just seen a 300 pass this way like 2 minutes ago. Taron let's go! Go that way," I heard Kevin yell over the phone.
"Where are ya'll?" I asked pushing the gas to 70 mph, ignoring stop signs, and running red lights.
"Roz, just go back to my house and chill with Ki-Ki. Let us handle this," Kevin suggested.
"No! Where are ya'll? If I can't get my son back then best believe I'm straight killing Nesha ass and I'm not playing. Tell me where y'all at," I demanded.
Danesha was not about to get away from this shit. She already done put me and Tamarion through enough hell and I was not about to let her get away with it. If I had to chase her to the ends of this earth I would as long as it meant that the vengeance I sought in my heart had been met.
"We on West Atlantic Road. We just pulled behind them. I really think you...."
Click!
I hung the phone up in Kevin's face and made a left on Glades Rd. which would eventually lead me to West Atlantic. I remembered that from earlier today when Taron and I went up to the Delray Beach police department where Tamar was being held. Now going 85 miles per hour; I made it down the congested road in no time, making a right onto West Atlantic Road. It was then that I'd finally answered my phone that had been ringing since I hung up on Kevin.
"Where are you?" I asked.
"Bitch, where are you? We've been calling and calling. Keylan just got off the phone with Kevin and we behind them following behind the 300!" Starr yelled.
"Starr I'm killing that bitch when I catch her! On my dead mama she's a dead bitch! Where are ya’ll?"
"We just made a right off of Atlantic onto South Swinton.”
I hit a hard right turn, having to jump over the median when I almost passed up Swinton. The whole car shook, making the phone drop out of my hand onto the floor but I didn't care. The black Chrysler 300 was within view. Smashing the pedal to the floor, going over 100 mph I drove past Keylan's BMW and Kevin's Infiniti.
Fuck trying to follow them I was trying to stop them.

Freak Accident
"Oh shit!" I yelled slamming my brakes but too late. I slammed into the side of Rozalyn's car the moment she jammed Taron's Dodge Charger into the side of the Chrysler 300. Taron tried to dodge the vehicle that was between them but the car hit the back of Rozalyn's car, then flipped through the air a couple of times landing them upside down on the opposite side of the road.
BUNNNKKKKK!
The sounds of people leaning on their horns echoed through the air along with the clinking of metal, and engines dying. I looked over at Starr as she slowly yanked at the seatbelt that was tightly gripped around her neck.
"You a’ight?" I asked as I reached in the backseat and grabbed a .380 handing it to Starr and then grabbing my .357. "Stay right here. I'm a go check on Rozalyn and the rest of them."
Just as I pushed the door of my car open I spotted Rozalyn climbing through the window of the charger. She stumbled a few steps but recovered her footing and treaded towards the Chrysler 300 that was practically wrapped around a light pole.
"Rozalyn don't go over there! Hey wait!" I yelled running after Rozalyn before she could make it to the car.
"No, I'm killing this bitch! She got my fuckin’ baby and don't wanna give him back!" Rozalyn screamed. Surprisingly she pulled a pistol from behind her back and pointed it at the Chrysler.
"Roz!" I ran up on her, grabbed her from behind, and then pulled her back. She was dead set on killing whoever was in the car and I didn't blame her.
"Let me go! Key let me go!" Rozalyn fought her hardest to get away from me but failed.
"Get her! I’m a go over here and check on Kevin and Taron,” I said to Starr as she made her way towards us. “Don’t let her go over there next to that damn car!”
I ran towards the other side of the street to help with Taron and Kevin; there were already people who’d gotten out of their vehicles to help, others who were taking pictures, and recording video of the scene. One of the citizens had already pulled Kevin out of the car and had him sitting on the curb while a few others were prying on Taron’s seatbelt trying to get him out.
POW! POW! POW!
“Shit!” I yelled ducking down thinking someone was shooting at me. Before I could even make it across the street gunshots rang out from the other side where I'd just left Rozalyn and Starr. All I was able to see was the backs of Rozalyn and Starr as they chased a pregnant Diamond down the sidewalk along with two other men carrying the duffle bags filled with the money. I glanced over at Taron and Kevin once more. Shit I didn't even like Kevin and this shit was all Taron's fault so fuck them. They would have to fend for themselves. I took off full speed following behind the girls.
Diamond hit the corner heading towards a shopping center as the two guys continued to run down the long sidewalk. Rozalyn and Starr continued to pursue Diamond. I wanted to get the guys whom I knew had to be none other than Tavon and Tahj. This was a good time for me to finish what should've been done days ago.
The sirens of emergency vehicles could be heard coming from the direction we were running. I guess Tavon and Tahj took note of it ’cause they cut to the right now running into a neighborhood. Once we were out of the eyes of many witnesses I pulled my .357 and aimed it towards them.
POW! POW! POW!
"Aaaghhhhh!" the first one screamed as he fell to the ground. He dropped the duffle bag and grabbed a hold of his wounded leg.
POW!
I continued running through the neighborhood shooting at the other one but missed as he cut between two houses. Instead of continuing to follow him I went back to the first one I had shot. He was rocking back and forth on the pavement, pulling at his leg, and groaning miserably. I pulled the ski mask off his face and tossed it to my feet.
"I knew it was your bitch ass!" I kicked Tavon in his wounded leg then eagerly spit on him.
"Nigga fuck you!" he yelled.
"Where's my nephew Von?"
"I ain't telling you shit!"
I kicked him in the leg again this time harder than before. He bit his lip to stifle the screams. "An innocent lil’ boy Von. Your own flesh and blood!"
"Fuck that lil’ boy! He ain't my flesh and blood! You can find that lil’ bastard in the land fill somewhere!" Tavon groaned.
I aimed my pistol at his head, ready to pull the trigger. This would be the hardest, most painful killing I would have ever committed.
WHOOP! WHOOP!
"Fuck," I mumbled.
"Yea. Shoot me now!" Tavon laughed.
"Drop the weapon and put your hands on your head." the police officer yelled.
"You gonna see me ag
ain. Trust me!" I held the gun up towards the air so they could see it, never turning around for them to see my face. I then bent down towards the ground, with the gun in view. Once I was close enough, I snatched up the duffle bag and proceeded between the two houses that we were in front of.
The sounds of tires screeching and sirens blaring behind me let me know the police was giving chase. I jumped over fence after fence running as fast as I could and trying my best to get away from these muthafuckas. I didn’t know where the hell I was at so I wasn’t sure which way to run.
“Shit!” I yelled after seeing I just ran in a complete circle. The sirens could still be heard not far from where I was standing. I had to figure out something quick, fast, and in a fuckin’ hurry.
Damn I hope Rozalyn and Starr didn’t get caught.

One bad bitch
This cannot be happening right now. I thought as I watched a mixture of clear liquid, mixed with blood pour out from the bottom of my pants legs. My water had just broken and I was only 7 ½ months pregnant. The contractions started the moment Rozalyn slammed that damn car into us and haven’t stopped since.
I climbed on top of the toilet seat when I heard the door swing open to the bathroom I was hiding in. Rozalyn and her ghetto ass friend had chased me all the way from the scene of the accident to a shopping center. The only place I could think to run was the Kroger's grocery store; I was sure that it would be full of people and they would have a hard time finding me here.
"She ain't in here!" I heard the ghetto one say.
"Well, where the hell did she go?" Rozalyn yelled.
I covered my mouth with the hood of my jacket and bit down on my lip as hard as I could. My body was contracting again and as painful as it was I was able to handle it pretty well.
"Starr, I gotta get my son back. He didn't do nothing to Nesha. Why did she have to fuck with my son?" Rozalyn asked. Her voice was wavering and painful. I hated to do my lil’ sister like this but she had to know what she did was wrong. Our mama suffered ’cause of her. I suffered ’cause of her selfishness and she had to know that it wasn't right.
