  “Yes.”

Adam suddenly flipped her over and pushed her knees up so she was now on her knees with her head on his pillow, her butt up in the air. He put his leg in between hers and spread them further, fully exposing her. Her breathing sped up slightly, knowing in this position he would be able to take her much harder and she wanted it, badly. His hand slid down her back and over her butt, before leaving her completely. Instead of feeling him push into her, his hand came down on her butt in a hard smack and she yelped. “What are you doing?”

  “Shh.”

Adam smacked her twice more and her butt was stinging, but at the same time it was sending a tingling through her that she wasn’t expecting. Nobody had ever spanked her before, especially not during sex, but as he started alternating smacks with caresses and touches to her clit, she found herself moaning at each smack instead of yelping. Before she could contemplate that development, he stopped the spanking and slammed into her; hard. With a punishing, hard rate he thrust in and out, the heat building up inside her as he did. “I can’t hold back,” Cassie groaned as she felt herself close to coming.

“Then don’t. Come for me Cassie.”

Cassie did exactly that and exploded around Adam, feeling herself come spiraling down and glad that her upper body was already on the bed while Adam was holding her hips. It was mere seconds before Adam followed her into orgasm and they both collapsed onto the bed.

“Well that was unexpected,” Cassie said after a good ten minutes of silence.

  “What part?”

“Well the sex in general but I meant the spanking.”

“Hmm, you seemed to like it.”

  “My butt is stinging.”

“I’m sure it is. Let it be a reminder to be more careful.”

“I’ll take it. I’m not entirely sure I’ve ever come that hard, spanking and all. Who knows, maybe I need a bit more kink in my sex life.”

“Maybe so. I’ll gladly provide any kink you want,” Adam grinned, spooning behind her and pulling her close. “But right now we both need sleep.”

“I should probably get back to my own dorm.”

“Absolutely not. I like having my arms around you, and I’m too tired to walk you back.”

  “I don’t want to impose.”

“You’re definitely not imposing. I don’t know what it is about you but I can’t stay away and I want to be with you.”

“I’m not ready for a relationship.”

  “Why not?”

  “The last one ended badly.”

“What if we took it slow?”

“Adam, I just let you spank me and I’m naked in your bed. I think we’re past slow.”

“Please don’t run, I promise not to be clingy. Can we agree to be exclusive, even if we don’t label whatever this is?”

Cassie thought about that and had to admit she liked the sound of that. “Agreed. Do you think Scott will be a problem again?”

“Yes, so you need to stay careful and preferably never go anywhere alone. I’d hate to have to spank you again.”

“You do realize that is not a threat in any way? I might just go somewhere alone where I know you’ll see just to experience this again.”

“You go anywhere alone where there aren’t any other people around and you will go over my knee young lady.”

Cassie wiggled her butt back into Adam’s groin in response, causing him to softly swat the side of her butt. “Tease. Stop it.”

Cassie just smiled and closed her eyes, ready to get some sleep. She felt safe in Adam’s arms and was ready for some sleep. It had turned into a much more eventful night than she had planned and for some reason she did not want it to end.

  Chapter Four

Waking up in someone else’s bed and remembering how she had ended up there hadn’t happened in a very long time for Cassie but as she woke up, she didn’t feel as awkward as she had expected. Wiggling a little bit she noticed her behind was no longer tingling, but the reminder of it made her smile. There had been something hot and sexy about it and she was definitely willing to explore that side more, as opposed to always doing the same thing the same way.

She couldn’t help but wonder if her ex had cheated on her because their sex life had been boring, but she also knew that if he had wanted something different he should have said so. She had been inexperienced and had relied on him to teach her a lot of things, yet he had never tried for more. Usually he even required the lights to be turned off first, which was odd considering she had caught him in an alley next to the cafeteria with her roommate. Hundreds of people had seen them and had known he had cheated on her, and it had been incredibly humiliating to hear the whispers. It was something she never wanted to have happen again and she had closed herself off from future relationships, at least while still in college. Now here she was, in Adam’s bed and having agreed to be exclusive, even if they weren’t officially a couple. She didn’t know if she could trust him not to cheat, but there was something about him that made her want to give him a chance to prove that he could be faithful.

“Stop wiggling you little brat,” Adam mumbled behind her.

“What if I don’t want to?”

“I’ll have to do something about it.”

As if to prove his point Adam pressed his erection against her which caused him to slide in slightly as they were both still completely naked. He stopped moving completely and she was growing frustrated. “Tease.”

“Hmm serves you right. I’m comfortable like this.”

Cassie moved slightly as if to prove a point and she knew it was working when Adam started moving as well. It didn’t take long for both of them to be panting and when he reached around her to start stroking her clit, she climaxed almost immediately. It wasn’t the best position she’d ever had sex in, but it was definitely new and she realized it was another advantage of spooning while sleeping.

It was a good thirty minutes before either of them moved, this time it was Adam who rolled out of bed. “I have practice in thirty minutes, as much as I’d prefer to stay here.”

“I need to get back to my dorm too, I’m sure everyone is wondering where I am by now.”

“Are you going to tell them?”

“About you? Probably. About Scott? No. It’s embarrassing.”

“I suppose I can understand that. Why don’t you get dressed and I’ll walk you back. I really do want you to stay in public places when alone, and keep your dorm room locked. Do you want to have lunch?”

“I should have lunch with my friends, I’ve been neglecting them. We can do dinner if you’d like?”

“Dinner works. I will pick you up at your dorm at seven.”

  “The cafeteria closes at seven.”

“I’m not taking you to the cafeteria. I was thinking about taking you on a proper date.”

“You don’t have to take me out.”

“Cassie, I want to. I want to take you somewhere off campus, where we can talk and enjoy time together away from school. I promise you’ll like the restaurant.”

“I’m growing too attached to you but I don’t want to turn you down either.”

“Then don’t. Come on, let’s get you back and then I’ll see you at seven.”

When Cassie saw her friend just before lunch, she immediately told her about Adam. Julie was stunned that she had fallen for someone, and had her doubts about how sincere Adam was but neither of them could deny that he had saved her from a sticky situation and he was making her happy. She hadn’t felt this carefree around a guy in such a long time that she wanted this, even if it didn’t last. Julie and her boyfriend were getting serious, and Cassie half expected him to propose any day now. She was happy for her friend who had been with him for close to three years, but in a way it also saddened her because Julie rarely ever wanted to spend just girl time with her anymore.

When Cassie’s roommate, now ex-roommate, had cheated on her Cassie had moved to a different dorm building. She now had a private room, which sh
e liked, but quite a few of the girls she used to spend time with sided with her ex-roommate and said it wasn’t her fault Cassie couldn’t keep her boyfriend satisfied. She realized that you found out who your true friends were when you went through something bad, and in the end there had only been a handful of people who had stuck by her. Julie had actually gone and punched the girl in the face, causing her to get in trouble but it had cemented their friendship.

After lunch Cassie and Julie went back to Cassie’s dorm, trying to decide what she should wear for her date with Adam. She had no idea why she was nervous for it since she had already spent quite a bit of time with him, but she knew they hadn’t really sat down and talked and she was worried they wouldn’t be able to find anything in common. When Adam called just before seven, Cassie was convinced it was to cancel but instead he called to tell her they had an extra practice that afternoon and he was running late. He would pick her up by seven thirty instead since he wanted to get a quick shower.

Knowing that Julie would want to know why she didn’t go anywhere, even to go outside to wait for him, Cassie told her what had happened the night before. Julie was horrified that a guy would do that, and after being reminded of what Scott looked like she promised to stay on watch for him as well. She had apparently heard rumors of a guy causing problems around campus, but she hadn’t known what he looked like so they didn’t know if it was the same guy. They agreed they should report him to the campus police, and Cassie promised to have Adam file a complaint as well since he knew what dorm the guy appeared to be living in.

At seven thirty on the dot Adam knocked on her room door and when she opened it she couldn’t help but smile. For the first time he was wearing a button up shirt and he had clearly tried a little bit harder with his appearance, not that he really needed it as Cassie thought he was cute regardless of that. She had put an effort into her appearance and was wearing a dress with high heeled boots and a light sweater, her hair cascading down her back. Adam smiled at her and held out his arm, clearly intending for her to take it.

  “You look beautiful.”

“Thank you. You clean up nicely yourself. So where are we going?”

“You’ll see,” Adam replied with a cheeky grin, clearly enjoying the surprise. “How was your day?”

“Nice and relaxing. I spent time with Julie, she is now with her boyfriend again. He’s been very secretive about some things lately so I have a sneaky suspicion he is going to propose soon. He asked me for her ring size almost two months ago so really it’s just a matter of time.”

“That’s usually a fairly good indication. I’m assuming you told her he asked?”

“Of course, it’s what friends are for.”

“What’s your ring size, just in case I ever need it?”

“Seven. So how come you had extra practice?”

“It was punishment for half the team getting into a scuffle with another team last night. A stupid drunken fight and we had to run drills for hours because of it. I wasn’t happy to say the least.”

“The whole team gets in trouble when only some of you do something?”

“Yes, we are a team and the idea is that we should prevent each other from doing stupid things. Us being angry at them is supposedly a better deterrent than a simple scolding or punishment would be. It’s true though, it’s been a long time since I’ve yelled at them like that.”

“So what kind of restaurant is this?”

“You’re not one for surprises are you?”

“Not at all. I love them, but at the same time I hate them just as much so I suppose you can’t win.”

“It’s Italian. We’ll be there soon, it’s not that far away. So what do you do when you’re not studying?”

“Not a whole lot really. I used to love going hiking and things like that, but I haven’t done that in a long time and don’t really have any friends who are interested in doing that with me. It’s something I used to do with my brothers.”

  “Are you from around here?”

“No, Midwest actually. I’m from a small farming town, and one day I want to work in a town just like it. Many people have to travel far to see a doctor but they can’t just leave their crops or animals so I want to travel part time around the farms to make sure everyone is getting the health care they deserve.”

“That is a very honorable thing to do. I’m impressed.”

“Thank you. I’ve just always wanted to do something that actually made a difference in someone’s life. What if I could do something as simple as help a farmer manage his diabetes, or help an injured athlete after a sporting event? What if everyone got regular checkups instead of only going when things escalate? I think it would save everyone money in the long run. I know I’ll likely never pay off all my student loans doing that but that’s not as important to me.”

They had arrived at the restaurant and Cassie smiled at seeing it. It was a small romantic restaurant with white table cloths and small round booths along the side. She immediately liked it and wondered how often she had walked past it without noticing it. Once they were seated at their table and had their drink orders taken they returned to their conversation, which Cassie thought was flowing much more easily than she had thought it would.

“Any particular reason you feel so strongly about doing that?”

“My uncle was a farmer just like my dad, but he died of diabetes related complications all because he didn’t know he had it. He couldn’t take meds to control it or adjust his lifestyle and diet, just because he couldn’t just leave his cattle for half a day to go sit in a doctor’s office. If he had gotten an annual checkup he would have known he had diabetes and would have lived much longer because he would have been able to do something about it. He’s not the only one either. Many people let small injuries go because it’s not worth the trip, and small town doctors are often so busy they don’t have time to go out to the farms. Most doctors don’t want to stay in the small towns very long because it makes much less money, which means the doctors don’t know their patients and communities as well. I want to settle somewhere and really get to know the people and help them.”

“That is admirable. Where are you planning to go to medical school?”

“Wherever I get accepted really. I’m applying almost everywhere and I’m just waiting to hear back. If there was a medical school in Alaska I’d go there if it meant getting a medical degree. So you are going pro?”

“Yes, but that will only last a couple years before I’m considered too old. After that I want to coach somewhere, preferably high school. I want to encourage other kids to follow their dreams. I’d probably have to teach as well as coach since most schools don’t have full time coaches for football, but I’d love to be a physical education teacher or something like that.”

“Hmmm. It doesn’t really fit your bad boy image.”

“There is plenty of bad boy in me,” Adam grinned. “It’s why I can relate to the students so well. Besides, I don’t actually tell people that part, I only tell them about wanting to go pro and leave it at that. They all know I’d eventually have to do something else but they don’t ask about that.”

  “Do you have offers?”

“Several but I can’t talk about them until I pick one and they make the announcement, which is usually when I would go to sign the contract. I’d like to see where you end up and maybe try to get close to you. I like you Cassie and I’d hate to see us separated by thousands of miles.”

“Don’t change your plans for me please.”

“I’m not. All these offers are about equal and they are all good, I would be happy to play for any of these teams. I have time to decide, and I intend to take all the time I need.”

“Julie thinks we should go to the campus police and report Scott so they can keep an eye out for him.”

“I think that’s a good idea. We can do that after dinner or tomorrow if you’d like. I’d like him caught, I don’t think he’ll just give up.”

  “I
agree. I don’t feel quite safe knowing he’s out there and probably angry that he didn’t succeed.”

“Then we will do that after dinner. Now, favorite music?”

They talked for almost two hours while they ate dinner, never running out of things to talk about and when it was time to go Cassie actually wished the night wasn’t coming to an end yet. It was one of the best, most relaxing dates she had ever been on and leaving the restaurant also meant going to campus police which she didn’t really want to do either. She knew they would want to know details and besides Julie she hadn’t really talked about it which meant she could almost ignore it had happened.

On their way back she felt like they were being watched but each time she looked around there wasn’t anything or anyone there and she started to think she was simply paranoid. She also knew that was probably not true, especially not when Adam started doing the same thing. “You feel it too don’t you.”

“I do. I think he’s around somewhere. Come on, let’s go give this report and then we can head to your dorm if you’d like?”

“Sure, that’s fine. Not yours this time?”

“My teammates will be all over the place after two practices in one day and quite honestly I’m still angry enough that it would ruin my mood. They could have gotten suspended if someone had called the cops and that would have ruined our season. When you make a commitment to the team you don’t do that. I’ve gotten into trouble but never during the season. We are on scholarships so it’s not fair, not to the team or the coaches but also not to the school.”

“My room it is then. I have a private room as well so it’s not an issue. I’m not entirely sure where the campus police office is located?”

“There is one on the lower level of your dorm building, on the other side.”

“I never go to that side, all my classes are in the opposite direction.”

It didn’t take them long to get there and after some convincing from Adam she told the whole story and filed a report on Scott. They had no idea if that was his real name but it was all they had. Adam added his report of where he thought this guy lived, and an hour later they were outside again. The officer had told them it sounded like the same guy who had attacked several other girls and he had a feeling there were more girls who hadn’t filed a report which meant they really wanted to catch him. Adam’s report on what dorm he thought he lived in was new though and they would check it out as it was more to go on than they had had up to that point and it was worth looking into. He advised Cassie not to go anywhere alone to which Adam had answered that he had told her the same thing and that he would make sure of it. The officer had seemed surprised and pleased at the same time before letting them go.
