Caught in the Surf Page 6

by Jasinda Wilder

A single stroke, and she was flying apart. His hands left her ass and his fingers twined with hers, lifting her arms above her head. The lack of support had him driving so deep, so crazy deep she couldn’t breathe, could only rasp a whimper.

His mouth covered hers, crashing in to taste her lips briefly before descending to her breasts and nibbling on her nipples. She was lost in a storm of sensation now, the notion of a single orgasm erased as he owned her body with his.

He drove up, lifting her with the power of his hips, and she came. He wrapped both of her wrists in one of his hands and cupped her ass with his other, lifting her up and drawing himself nearly out, sliding slowly, dragging between her trembling folds until she moaned.

Then he released her hands and her ass, impaling her on his shaft, and she came.

She heard a sound, a loud, high, cry, and realized it was her voice. His breathing was ragged, his eyes hooded and heavy on hers as he fluttered slow, shallow thrusts, buried deep.

Then they were moving again, and he was setting her gently on the kitchen counter. The angle that this position had him inside her was…beyond exquisite. He was tilted slightly away from his body, and as he slid in slowly, she felt him hit every single nerve ending she had, sending bolts of lighting striking her from head to toe.

Her head thunked back against the cabinet, and her breath erupted from her in a loud groan. Her heels scrabbled at his back, her hands on his shoulders pulling him toward her.

  “Watch us,” he commanded.

Lani opened her eyes and tilted her head forward to watch as he slid in, drew out, slow at first but faster with every stroke. Lani found the sight of his erection unexplainably erotic, stretching her folds and sliding in and pulling out, wet with their mingled essences. Her forehead touched his as they watched their lovemaking together, watched him fill her and draw out, moving faster and faster now, growing confident in his strokes.

The unending firecracker-string of climax worked into a crescendo, each one more powerful than the last, each stroke of his body into hers sending her higher and higher, until she realized it wasn’t orgasms breaking over her at all, but pre-detonations, quivers of buildup.

Casey was moving frantically now, and she was taking all of him, deep and deep and deeper, and she was panting, whimpering nonstop, chanting “yes” in time to his thrusts.

And then he slowed, pulled out nearly all the way, thrust home hard and tensed, groaning her name. Again he pulled out and powered in, and this time she felt herself come completely undone, fly apart and shatter as he released inside her.

He clutched her against him as they shook together. After a moment, he carried her to the bed, still joined to him, and lay back with her straddling him one more.

She collapsed onto him, limp, sated, and more exhausted than ever before in her life.

“God, Casey.” She could only gasp those two words.

“You got both my names right, darlin’.”

She laughed, and felt him slip out of her. “I won’t deny that.”

  “Good. You shouldn’t.”

“I’m not.” She traced a pattern on his shoulder with her finger, then lifted her head to meet his eyes. “Thank you, Casey.”

He wrinkled his brow. “It was beyond incredible for me, too, babe.”

She shook her head. “Not just for that, but yes, thank you for that. I’ve never come so many times or so hard in my life. I meant thank you for…everything. Bringing me here. Taking me surfing. Helping me let go.”

He grinned at her. “So you’ll stay and give surfing lessons?”

She sighed. “It just makes sense, I guess, doesn’t it?”

“Yeah, it does.” He got up, discarded the condom, and settled beside her on the bed, cigarettes and lighter in hand. He lit up, puffed out the first lungful, and then turned to her. “Besides, if you stay, we can do that again. Except maybe on the beach. Or in my plane. Or…anywhere.”

Lani rested her head on his shoulder and smiled. “Sounds good to me.”

  * * *

“NO! Carl, damn it, you’re too far forward on the board!” Lani covered her eyes as Carl wiped out for literally the fiftieth time in less than an hour.

Casey chuckled behind her. “He’ll never learn. He just ain’t coordinated enough.”

She shook her head, knowing he was right, but also knowing she had to keep trying, since he’d paid for a week’s worth of lessons up front. She turned to look over her shoulder. Casey was sitting on a blanket, filling out LLC papers for SkyTours Incorporated. She’d been living on Seeker’s Island for over six months by that point, in a little beach house with Casey for two of those months. The sun shifted from behind a cloud and glinted off the half-carat diamond on her ring finger. He’d proposed a month ago, and she realized she really was ready to go forward with it. She’d agreed at the time because she’d been happy and excited, but later had had some reservations, wondering if it was too soon.

Now, watching him scribble with his tongue tip sticking out of the corner of his lips, she realized how much she did want to be his, legally and otherwise. There was only one thing that would make life on Seeker’s Island complete, but she didn’t think there was a chance of that.

Just then, a seaplane roared past, twisting out over the ocean and returning in a landing descent. Casey had lured his friend Henry Sykes out to fly tours with him, except he’d left a week ago and hadn’t returned.

  “Henry’s back?” she asked.

Casey just grunted, but she could tell by the set of his shoulders that he was feigning disinterest. The seaplane floated to a stop, and the door opened. A flip-flop-clad foot extended, touched the float, and then the whole body appeared, leaping from the cabin directly into the water.

  Lani squealed. “Makani!”

Her friend and mentor smiled, shading his eyes with his hand as he slogged through the hip-deep water. He was a short, thick, middle-aged, deeply tanned Hawaiian man with a long black ponytail, shirtless and wearing board shorts. Lani ran across the sand and threw herself into Makani’s embrace.

“You’re here! How—why are you here?” She was breathless with joy.

He grinned and hugged her tightly, then let go. “I think Hawaii has enough surfboards now, yeah? I think this Seeker’s Island needs a few now. Plus, I also hear my favorite surfer girl, she found the right man for her. I never liked that Rafael lolo. Glad you shut of him. This the guy?”

Casey shook Makani’s hand, and soon Carl was forgotten as the three wandered across the beach, catching up. Lani hung back as Makani and Casey got to know each other, and she realized that now, finally, she had a family.

She left Makani and Casey sitting under a palm tree drinking Corona, grabbed her board from the sand, and trotted to the water. The sea lapped around her ankles, licked her calves, and then embraced her entirely. She tasted brine, felt the sun hot on her skin, and knew she was home.
