“Mmm.” I arch my neck to give him room. “And then?”
He runs his hand down my side to my hip, easing me onto my back. “And cherish you.” He tugs my shirt out of my jeans and kisses my belly. His breath tickles my skin.
“Oh yeah?” I whisper as I writhe under his touch. “And will you obey me, too?”
He rolls up against me, his body warm against mine. “Of course. Your wish is my command.”
“You sure about that?” I ask, innocently. “I hear that I can be pretty demanding.”
He growls as he nips my earlobe. “Oh, I’m sure. Anything you need.” He takes my hand, lacing his fingers through mine and kissing my fingers. I expect him to make a wisecrack or be silly, but instead he grows serious again.
“Cass. I am yours. I’ve always been yours. Today. Tomorrow. Forever.”
