The British Billionaire Bachelor Page 21

He felt mesmerized, afraid if he spoke his voice would crack, so he simply nodded his head.

“You’re asking me to take a leap of faith with you, and my answer is a resounding yes. No pressure, no promises, just a day at a time.”

His eyes closed as she leaned in, touching her lips against his. She smelled of strawberries, and when her tongue touched his, a bolt of electricity sparked his cock to life.

“My God,” he whispered, pulling away. “You do have the most profound effect on me.”

Belle felt the warm wetness between her legs and wriggled in her chair.

“Hmmm–as you do on me,” she mumbled, dropping her forehead on his shoulder.

“So–we’re going to get on my plane together,” he breathed.

  “Apparently,” she replied.

  “Wow.”

  “Yes, wow.”

Sighing deeply he stood up and reached out his hand.

“You’re in for quite a surprise,” he grinned.

  “I am? Why?”

  “You’ll see.”

Simon was right. When Belle stepped into his 727, she couldn’t believe her eyes. She was surrounded by glossy burled walnut, cream leather armchairs, a sofa, a full wet bar and a dining table, and that was just the front cabin.

He led her over the thick, sculptured tan carpet to a closed door.

“Close your eyes, please,” he said playfully.

She heard the latch open and stepped carefully forward, his hands guiding her.

  “You can open them now.”

She found herself looking into a bedroom, complete with a queen-sized bed, side tables, reading lamps built into the overstuffed headboard, and plenty of room to move around.

“Simon this is–it’s–I can’t find the words,” she stammered.

“You have your own powder room,” he smiled, taking her to the bathrooms at the far wall of the suite, one on each side of the cabin, a his and hers. She caught her breath as she stared at the vanity surrounded by lights, the soft pink decor, and all the amenities one could wish for.

“Simon, it’s beautiful,” she sighed, and wondered fleetingly if she was in The Twilight Zone–or having some kind of bizarre lucid dream.

“Through here,” he continued, unlatching yet another door, “are the guest quarters.”

She was standing in a cabin similar to the one she had first entered, and to her surprise, Cecil and Parker were settling into their own private spaces, each outfitted with beds, though they were smaller than Simon’s.

“Ms. Somers,” Cecil smiled, politely. “How delightful to have you on board.”

“Thank you, Cecil,” she smiled back, feeling a little embarrassed.

“See you when we get to London,” Simon announced, and she assumed it was his way of telling them he was not to be disturbed.

They made their way back to the front of the plane, and as they passed through the bedroom she spied her bag sitting to one side, and next to it another she didn’t recognize.

“That brown bag is from the hotel. They couriered over what you left in the suite.”

“Oh Simon, it’s all so incredible,” she sighed.

“Time to meet Alex,” he grinned.

“Alex? Who’s Alex?” she asked, wondering what could possibly come next.

“Alex is my inflight Majordomo,” Simon answered, walking forward into the main cabin, “and there he is.”

Whatever Belle had anticipated, it certainly wasn’t the man facing her. He was sandy-haired, his mass of wavy tresses hitting his shoulders, dressed in a crisp white shirt, black creased pants and a purple bow tie.

“Alex is a marvelous chef and prepares all the meals for the flights, and he’s a fully trained nurse. His sole job is to take immensely good care of us,” Simon announced proudly. “Alex, I’d like to introduce you to someone very special. This is Belle Somers.”

“Positively delighted,” Alex smiled, taking her hand and kissing it. “Whatever you need you just call for me and I will materialize before your very eyes.”

Belle suppressed a giggle. He was charming and funny and completely theatrical, and had an accent she couldn’t quite place.

“Thank you, Alex,” she replied, not sure what else she should say.

“Would you like some champagne? A coffee perhaps? What would be your pleasure?”

“I think champagne is definitely in order,” Simon decreed. “Do we have any Veuve Clicquot on board?”

“Of course, Mr. Sinclair. Two glasses coming up.”

Simon ushered Belle to the large armchairs and sat across from her.

“I don’t trust myself to sit next you,” he said under his breath, leaning across the table.

“Simon, I’m totally and completely...honestly I don’t have the words. I don’t know what to say, or do, or...”

“It’s just a plane. It’s a beautiful plane and I spent a great deal of time and money creating what you see, but it’s still just a plane,” he remarked, and silently added, and sitting here with you I’m seeing it through new eyes. I’m suddenly seeing my entire life through new eyes.

“I feel like a Princess,” she sighed.

“You are a Princess,” Simon answered, “and I’m glad you like it.”

The comment made Belle laugh out loud.

“What? Did I say something funny?”

“What’s not to like? Oh my gosh, it’s all such a fairytale,” she sighed.

“Here you are,” Alex announced, appearing at their table. “Two glasses of Veuve Clicquot. I shall be back shortly with a little something special to accompany your adult beverage.”

The comment caused Belle’s laughter to continue unabated, and amused, Simon sat back patiently waiting for her short burst of gleeful hysteria to pass. When she finally caught her breath, wiping the water from her eyes, he picked up his glass.

“Can we toast now, without fear of you choking?” he chuckled.

“Of course,” Belle answered, and still giggling, reached for her crystal goblet.

“Here’s to the days ahead. May they–”

–always be as joyful as this moment,” she finished, interrupting him.

  He shook his head.

“Yes, I will most definitely drink to that, though it is a tad unrealistic,” he grinned, “and what I was going to say,” he continued, raising his one wicked eyebrow, “before I was so rudely interrupted, is, here’s to the days ahead. May the most you wish for, be the least you receive.”

“Oh Simon,” she breathed, “what a beautiful sentiment. Thank you, and I wish the same for you as well.”

They clinked glasses and sipped the dry, bubbling wine, then leaning forward he whispered, “I know someone who is going to have quite a sore backside when this plane lands in London.”

It was at 35,000 feet, in dim light, that Belle stirred from her slumber. The jet having cruised smoothly for hours, lulling her into a serene sleep, had hit some minor turbulence. The warm tingling of her seat cheeks reminded her of his hot hands, and his arm around her waist holding her tightly against him, gave her a sense of loving security. She couldn’t think of a time when she had felt such happiness.

Staring at the shadows on the wall, the enormity of her actions began to take hold. She had left her life in Beverly Hills, for how long she did not know. Minor details began circling in her head. She’d not asked the Post Office to hold her mail. No matter, the letters could pile up on her floor. The bills coming in! What were they and how would she handle those? She’d have to email Susan Caldwell first thing, let her know she was away for a while, but she wouldn’t tell her she was across the pond with Simon Sinclair. Her mother! Her mother would have to know she was gone, out of town, unavailable. That would have to be a phone call. Ick. Maybe she’d get lucky and get her voice mail, and she would simply leave a message and the contact information for Harriett and Joseph. Her phone, they’d been too busy for her to buy the new one. Would her dinosaur work in London? Doubtful. Smartp
hone upgrade here we come.

While Belle was consumed with her myriad thoughts, Simon too, was lying half awake, the bumpity-bump of the airplane having had the same affect, but Simon wasn’t thinking about the little things. The adjustments he’d have to make, which closet he would give her, how he would arrange for a car, those mundane items had been replaced with bigger, far more interesting ones.

As he had held her down, riding her ardently to her moment, insisting she keep completely quiet as her orgasm rattled through her body, he’d had flashes of the many surprises that awaited her. Exhausted from their hectic day and long, sensuous lovemaking, he had drifted off quickly, but now, in the blessed space between waking and sleeping, thoughts of his country estate and decadent dungeon filled his drowsy dreams. He could see her suspended, then in leather cuffs against the soft, padded wall, a moment later images of her laced in silk cord, every part of her body encased in the crisscross patterns of artful bondage.

Sighing, he lowered his head and kissed her neck. Was it possible he had met the woman with whom he could share everything? His dark kink, his heady world of business, his fears and doubts, joys and triumphs? Was it possible for him to be with just one woman? She moved against him, looped her fingers through his. He caught his breath, Tyler’s words echoing through his brain...

Every man’s a playboy until he meets the right woman.

Who Is Maggie Carpenter? Most of the time, when you read, About The Author, you discover that said author has three dogs, two cats and a turtle named Harley, lives in Oregon and likes to hike with her husband of five years. Generally, the piece is written in the third person. I have no quarrel with such an expose, it’s just not for me. If you are reading this, I’m going to assume you really do want to know About Me, and I want to give you that, from me, personally and sincerely, so here you go.

I write about the Dominant/submissive dynamic because I am a submissive, and having experienced the thrills and spills that D/s romance offers, I don’t just feel eminently qualified to do so, but I am truly, deeply and wholly passionate about it. Every second of every day it’s on my mind and in my heart, which, by the way, has been shattered into a thousand tiny pieces, and made shining and whole and filled with joy. Such are the highs and lows Dominance and submission brings.

Having tried and failed with vanilla relationships, during which I was constantly frustrated and unfulfilled, I came to an understanding and acceptance that vanilla simply doesn’t work for me. If you read my blog you can learn more about the addiction to this lifestyle, and while every interaction is unique and based on the wants and needs of the individuals involved, they each share one truism. The submissive wants and needs the romantic domination of her man, and the Dominant wants and needs the gift of submission his girl offers.

In case you’re interested, I live alone in Southern California, am still open to Mr. Romantic Dominant knocking on my door, have a lovely mare I ride every day, and the cutest mutt you’ve ever seen.

Thank you, truly, for your interest, and I hope you enjoy the book. I would love to hear from you. I mean that. Don’t be shy. You can email me at [email protected].
