“Then, I’m happy you had your wish come true.”

  “Me too.”

Asgar arrived just on time to see the whole procedure. Erin implanted both embryos on Sasha’s womb, making sure they were in the right place.

The following days were hard for the couple, especially when Erin went into labor the day after the implantation and had to stay away from work. Susan, the other doctor, and Colborn had been of great help, but Sasha was more than relieved when her friend came to check on her with her baby boy in her arms.

"Girl… I believe I can do this a hundred times. I feel as if I had given birth a year ago. The healing process is so fast and easy; this is like a joy ride." She said, handing Sasha her baby. "Now, let's see how these two are hanging in there." She said, pulling out the scanner.

But Sasha wasn't paying any attention to her. The little one she was holding in her arms had her full attention. He was so beautiful, so perfect; she fell for him immediately.

“He’s so perfect, Erin.” She mumbled.

The proud mother stopped looking at the screen in front of her to look at her baby. “I know… I still have trouble believing he’s real.” She scowled. “I get up in the middle of the night to go check on him, just to make sure he’s not a dream.” she admitted.

“I’m sure I’ll feel the same way, if it ever happens to me.” She said, in a shaky tone.

“Of course, it will.” Asgar’s voice sounded from the door.

He had just arrived from the refectory. He had been staying with her in the hospital, dismissing all her protests.

“Just on time.” Erin said, with a broad smile, taking the baby from Sasha’s arms and handing him to Asgar. “Hold him for a second. I need to scan Sasha.” She said, with an impish smile.

Asgar held the baby like a true professional and both women stared at him.

“What?” he asked, surprised with her looks. “You seem to forget I have younger siblings.” He teased them.

Both women chuckled before they concentrated their attention on Sasha's body.

“Let’s see what’s going on.” She said as she enhanced the image as much as she could. She wanted to make sure the embryos were still developing at normal speed, but more important, that they were still there. She knew there was the possibility the body would reject them as aliens. But it didn’t. A deep sigh of relief left her lips, as she turned the screen for Sasha to see. “There they are: two healthy babies.” She said, with a pleased smile.

Sasha and Asgar looked transfixed at the two white dots on the screen, too happy to utter a word.

The following months were an incredible merry-go-round for both Sasha and Asgar, so full of new experiences and moments that brought them closer than ever.

Asgar was so protective of her; he never went further than a few miles away from the house. He wanted to be there for her, in case she needed him.

When the moment finally arrived, they were having dinner with his whole family in his parents’ home. They barely had time to get to the hospital in time, while Asgar kept saying to the babies they had to hold on, because daddy had no idea about labors.

The twins were born six and a half months after they were conceived. A boy and a girl that entered the world screaming and kicking, to let everyone know they were there, and nothing was impossible when love ruled.

  Colborn & Gil Ra

  Chapter 1

Gil Ra watched her baby sleep for a few moments before she turned her attention to the dresses she was drawing. Wedding dresses, incredibly, for her and her friends. They would be wearing them at the Announcement ceremony. The women of the planet didn’t usually wear anything special for the ceremony, but Gil Ra had suggested they deserved special outfits. The whole group had jumped in, immediately agreeing with her suggestion.

At first, she had considered doing a single style for all the women, but then, she decided they were too different people and needed something that enhanced them each as individuals. Not to mention the queen, that was already two months pregnant and her belly was quite visible.

So, she had asked Olaf’s help. She would draw the dresses and he would help her find the appropriate fabrics and sew the clothes. She was just finishing her own dress, and she would be done.

Unlike the rest of the group, she was the only one that hadn’t been converted. Colborn had mentioned the conversion to her when they were on their way back from the planet Earth, but they had been back for a few weeks now and he hadn’t mentioned it again.

She felt it wasn’t her place to ask him about it. It worried her a little to line up with all of the other women and being the only one that hadn’t been converted. Especially during an event that would be broadcasted to the whole world to see. People might start to wonder why she was different from the rest, and that would attract unwanted attention to her.

What should have been a moment of joy, had suddenly become a stressful event for her, but she was afraid to mention it to Colborn. He had been so good to her and a true father of her baby girl, she didn’t want him to feel she was pressing him with the conversion.

Her communication device buzzed over the table and she picked it up.

“Víf Gil Ra, how are you?”

“Olaf… fine, how are you?” she greeted the man.

“I’m here, ready to sew your creations. Have you finished the drawings?” he asked her, with an enthusiastic tone.

“Yes, I just finished the last one. All of the patterns are ready as well.”

“Perfect. Then we can go get all of the fabrics you’ll be needing.” He suggested.

“Yes, that would be great, but I need to call Colborn and see if he can take care of Naris.” She explained.

“Alright. Send me the drawings, so that I can start locating the fabrics while you contact Colborn.”

“Very well. I’m sending them right away and I’ll be in touch as soon as I talk to Colborn.”

She ended the call with the tailor and immediately called Colborn. She explained the situation to him and he didn’t hesitate in offering to take care of the baby.

"I could bring her to where you are if it's easier for you." she suggested.

“That would be great. I’m at the palace now, in a meeting with the king and the councils, but it will be over soon.”

“It’s a deal then. I’ll be there in a few minutes.” He had taught her to drive their vehicles and now she had more independence, though she didn’t like to go out much.

Spending time with Nari had filled her days and the hole the year away from her had caused in her heart.

She picked the baby from her portable crib and put her in her stroller. Her sleep was so deep; she didn't even flinch with the change.

A few minutes later she was arriving at the palace. Colborn was at the main door waiting for her. She handed him the baby’s bag and the stroller. “You’ll find everything you need inside the bag. I’ll be as fast as I can.”

“Take your time, válkana. You know how much I love taking care of Naris.” He appeased her.

She nodded and smiled at him. “Call me if you need anything.”

He leaned over and kissed her lips with a gentle kiss that oozed all of the love he felt for her. “Just go and do what you have to do. We’ll be fine.”

“Thank you.” she finally hopped in the car and drove away.

Olaf was waiting for her in his factory. He would be taking her to the fabric factories. “I truly hope we can find the fabrics you have in mind for these fabulous dresses." He said as they reached the first fabric they were going to visit.

“There isn’t much time, but I’m sure we’ll find all that we need.” She told him, feeling optimistic. The Zuvrakians actually had many types of fabrics, but they didn’t seem to have discovered all of their uses.

In the first factory they visited, she explained to the owner what she was looking for and he showed her a fabric that pretty much resembled the organza they used on Earth.

  “Can you embr
oider this fabric?” she had seen a few cushions with embroidered fabric, so she supposed he understood the concept.

“Yes, if you have the pattern.” He replied, with a pleased smile.

“I do.” she had made some simple ones and soon he was introducing it into a machine and adding the fabric she has selected. In just a few minutes he was handing her a beautiful embroidered fabric she planned on using for the queen’s dress.

She had chosen a couple more fabrics, these are like the raw silk and the shantung, and soon they were leaving with the fabric and materials for four of the dresses.

Olaf took her to the next fabric factory and in this one, she found the rest they would need.

“I hope you’re ready to face the avalanche of requests you’ll be receiving after this.” He told her, while they drove back to his factory. “There won’t be a woman on the whole planet that won’t want a dress like the ones for herself. You're changing the world of fashion on the entire planet.”

She blushed. “I’m sure you’re overreacting.” She dismissed his words.

“Just know I’m here to help you. All you have to do is draw and I’ll make sure your creations come to life.” He said, with a smile.

“Thank you, Olaf, it’s very kind of you.”

“It’s not kindness, it’s sense of business, and you my dear are the future of fashion in Zuvrak.”

She wished he was right. Designing clothes had been the passion of her life, and though she had other things more important than work, it still made her feel complete, happy.

They dropped the fabrics at Olaf’s fabric factory and after discussing the final details, she went back home.

  Chapter 2

Colborn watched Gil Ra disappear in her vehicle and turned to look at Naris. The baby was still sleeping, so, he drove the stroller back to the council room.

They had been discussing all the information they had collected about the conversions. Nari’s arrival caused a bit of a fuss since everyone wanted to take a look at her, but soon they were back discussing the problems they had found that day.

“So, we can conclude that it doesn’t matter where you take her blood, with three exchanges you’ll be activating the conversion.” Colborn exposed.

“Right. I took Sasha’s blood from her wrist and Haakon took it from Rosalind’s neck.” Asgar agreed.

“We still don’t know how important the mating part of the ritual is since you didn't mate with Sasha on her third stage." Colborn added.

  “Exactly.” His friend nodded.

“What we do know now, is that you need to be centered in what you’re doing, or you’ll endanger your soulmate’s life.” Brynjar said, in a firm tone. “It’s very easy to lose control of the situation when you see your soulmate dying in your arms." He added, remembering how scared he had been when life had fled his soulmate's body.

“That’s absolutely true.” Asgar agreed. “And the part they burst into flames can make your heart stop for a few seconds.”

“We need to write a manual and distribute it to the men that mated the new group of women. I believe they have been all mated, right?” Colborn asked.

“Yes, it’s true.” Brynjar nodded. “The idea of the manual is good, but I would also like to gather all of them here and answer all the questions they might have.”

“That’s a good idea. This is too important.” Fritjof agreed.

“We can’t afford any mistakes.” The king warned before he turned to Colborn. “What about you, Colborn? When are you planning on converting Gil Ra?”

“I’m not sure yet. I wanted to give her a bit more time so that she gets used to the idea.” He admitted.

“Have you discussed that with her?” Haakon asked him, with a scowl.

“I told her I wanted to convert her, yes, but we haven’t discussed anything other than that.”

“You should talk to her. All her friends have been converted. She might think you changed your mind about converting her. Human women over think things. They don’t have our instincts and they can easily assume things that aren’t real.” Asgar advised.

“Yes… I can certify that.” Haakon agreed. “Remember, they all have baggage from their past lives that sometimes isn’t easy to deal with.”

“Don’t assume anything. Discuss whatever it is with her and make decisions together. You’ll be happier, believe me.” The king added.

At that moment, Nari woke up and let out a small cry, calling for attention, distracting the men in the room. Asgar picked her from the stroller and entertained her, giving Colborn time to assimilate what his friends had told him.

He should have known better by now, especially when he had almost lost her for not asking directly what was going on with her.

The rest of the meeting went by as they shared strategies on how to explain the conversion to those about to go through it and entertaining Nari. The little girl had certainly charmed everybody in the room.

When the meeting was over, he returned to the house to wait for Gil Ra. Nari had fallen asleep again, after all the excitement she had as the center of attention of a bunch of men.

Gil Ra arrived soon after them and he met her at the door. “Hi… how was your day?” he asked her with a wicked grin on his face, as he pulled her into his arms.

“It was great, thank you. I was able to find everything we need and Olaf will start sewing the dresses tomorrow.” She said with a warm smile, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing his lips. “What about you? Did Nari behaved?” she asked.

“You know she’s an angel. She had all of the men in the room drooling over her.” he replied, with the pride of a father.

Gil Ra chuckled. “I’m glad. And where is she now?”

“Sleeping. I guess she got tired from all of the attention.”

  “It’s entirely possible.”

He picked her in his arms and carried her to their room. “And that gives us time for a little fun time.” He whispered in her ear, nibbling it.

“That sounds like a perfect plan to me.” She smiled, throwing her arms around his neck.

“Good… because I had no intention of taking a no for an answer.” He said, picking her in his arms and carrying her to the huge bathroom they shared. The bathtub was already filled with warm water, waiting for them.

He helped her take her clothes off and got rid of his in just a blink of an eye. They entered the tub and he took a seat, making her sit between his legs, with her head resting on his chest.

“When will you show me the dress you’ll be wearing at the announcement?” he asked her, soaping his hands and starting to smear it on her chest and down to her firm, round breasts, giving special attention to her perky nipples, already hard as rocks.

She moaned, closing her eyes to relish on the pleasure of feeling his hands on her. “At the ceremony…” she mumbled.

“Why is that?” he asked, surprised.

“Because it’s bad luck for you to see it before that day.” She explained with an amused grin.

“I guess that’s some kind of a tradition from your planet.” He concluded, chuckling.

“Yes… and I know this ceremony isn’t exactly what we call a wedding, but it has the same purpose, so we decided to follow all of the rules.” She said, covering his hands with hers.

“Oh… there’s more?” he asked, arching his eyebrows.

“Just a few more… like wearing something blue, something old, something new and something borrowed.” She explained.

“You guys have some bizarre rituals.” He said, amused.

“You have no idea. Our planet has so much cultural richness you would be surprised. A century wouldn’t be enough to learn half of it.” She told him, pushing her hips against his and wiggling them. She could feel his hard cock poking her buttocks.

“I hope you’ll share more of your own with me.” He said, cupping her breasts and squeezing them gently, ripping a heartfelt moan from her lips.

  “Yes… of course…
she nodded, raising her hands up to his neck and pulling him closer. It wasn't a surprise finding his scales out. Lately, they always came out when they were together.

He rinsed the soap from her breasts and made her turn around to face him, resting her throbbing pussy over his pulsating cock.

“I can never have enough of you.” he whispered against her lips, sliding his coarse tongue inside her mouth, exploring every single inch of it, stealing her breath away in the process.

Breathless, she moaned through ragged gasps. "I feel the same way."

“Perhaps it’s time to convert you.” He suggested, tentatively.

She stood in silence for a few moments, her eyes locked on his. “Are you sure you want that?” she finally asked.

“I’ve always wanted it.” He replied emphasizing the verb. “But there was a time I thought it would be too dangerous for you. Now that I know it isn’t, there isn’t anything I want more.” He explained.

“Then, why haven’t you done it?” she asked, puzzled.

“With Nari here and all that has been going on, I thought I would give you a bit more time, before going through it.”

She leaned forward and kissed him, printing all her passion in that single kiss. He was so much more than she ever thought possible finding in a man. “This is one of the reasons I love so much. You’re always thinking of me.” She murmured against his lips.

“Love of my life, you’re the reason I exist.” He assured her.

She kissed him again. “When had you planned to do it?” she asked him breathlessly, feeling his cock poking her entrance.

“After the Announcement. We could take a few days for ourselves and do it.” He explained.

“Then, let’s wait. There’s no hurry.” She said with a naughty grin as she rubbed her hips against his hard cock.

He slid his hands down her back and one of his fingers found her back entrance and started to poke it. “Perhaps we could start training this little one for the big moment.” He suggested with a devious grin.
