Marked for Them Page 11

Reaching for Trevor, I cupped his face and drew him closer. He kissed me again, and I thrust my tongue into his mouth, meeting his. Then he entered me. I cried out in pleasure and moved with him.

Wyatt groaned, encouraging us as he quickly removed his clothes and then got back onto the bed. With my free hand, I gripped him and stroked. At that moment, the three of us were completely connected—emotionally, physically, and on a psychic level I didn’t realize was possible.

Trevor picked up the tempo, sending us all over the edge. Together.

The last of our orgasms shuddered through us, and Trevor pulled out and dropped to the bed beside me. Wyatt kissed my shoulder and snuggled into my side. I was tempted to go back to sleep. “Don’t get too comfy. I feel Zane pacing, and we need to shower and see what’s up.”

I was the last one out of the shower because I needed to prepare myself for Zane. Through our mating bond, I felt his eagerness and jealousy. Although I bet he’d deny being jealous about the others.

It was something they’d have to work on. None of us really knew what we were doing.

After dressing, I exited the bathroom and froze at the sight of Zane leaning against the closed bedroom door. His arms were crossed over his chest as his green eyes stared at me, devoid of emotions. He’d even blocked his feelings from our bond.

I raised a brow and crossed the room, stopping a foot from him. “Morning.”

In one step, he wrapped his arms around my waist and had me flattened against him. Every part of our bodies touched. Only then did he let go of the emotions he held back from me. To my surprise, jealousy wasn’t there. Had I misread him earlier? Possibly.

“Thank you for helping Trevor.” Zane smiled, and I wanted him.

“You’re welcome.” I kissed him lightly on the lips and studied him. “Are you okay with it all?”

“No. But I will be. They are my family, and I will not do anything to hurt them.”

I relaxed at his words, but hugged him close and pressed my cheek against his chest. “I’m afraid that Salrus will come for us soon. I’ve marked you and Trevor. When I unlock Dimitri’s powers, I will link him to us, as well.”

Zane kissed the top of my head. “I know. I think it would be best to wait to mark the twins until later.”

Nodding, I agreed. “Give the demon time to make a mistake or come for us.”

Zane pulled back and framed my face with his hands. “He will not win this fight. We’ll take him out and then deal with the Council. You are not alone.”

His words and the sincerity and certainty in his stare and voice touched my heart and soul. Respect and honor filled me. My mate didn’t make promises. He stated facts. I rose on my tiptoes and kissed him. The words were on the tip of my tongue, but they wouldn’t come. I couldn’t deny it, though. I was falling in love with him—and the others.

Something I’d never thought would happen. My heart had opened to let them in. All of them.

A crash sounded from somewhere at the back of the house. Then the bedroom door flew open. Trevor’s wide eyes met mine, and my heart sank. Something bad had happened.

Zane and I spoke at the same time. “What?”

Trevor didn’t blink as he glanced from me to Zane. “Salrus flashed in and took Wade and Dimitri. Wyatt’s hurt.”

“Fuck.” Zane released me and darted from the room, leaving Trevor and me to follow. “How the hell do you kidnap a ghost?”

Zane didn’t ask anyone in particular, but I answered anyway. “With a curse, combined with the fact that Wade is still linked to the demon through the mark.”

Zane let out a low growl. “All the more reason to get them back and for you to mark them. And kill that damn demon.”

I couldn’t agree more as I rushed around the corner to the living room. As soon as I entered, my heart broke.

Wyatt was on the floor, unconscious. I ran to him, feeling for a pulse. Relief flooded me as I felt the faint thump of his heartbeat. I undid his jeans and pulled the waistband down to expose his mark.

Before I could place my hand over it, Zane grabbed my wrist. “Are you sure?”

Tears filled my eyes. “Salrus is using the mark he placed on me to draw on my energy. The demon is killing Wyatt slowly as a message to me. A warning not to complete the bond with the rest of you. I have to mark him now to save his life.”

After a short nod, Zane released my wrist. I didn’t spare another moment. I place my hand over Wyatt’s demon mark and spoke the chant. “You are mine to protect and care for. With my mark, you are untouchable from all who wish you harm.”

A zap of electric current similar to what had happened with Trevor shot through me and into Wyatt. The jolt was enough to wake him. He gasped and clutched at my arms, drawing me to him. I went, hugging him and kissing his face.

“Salrus will not win.” I repeated Zane’s words. I released my hold on my magic and let it flow wildly inside me.

Standing, I faced the guys. My guys. “He won’t kill them because he wants me. I’m not hiding anymore. If he wants me, then he’ll get me.”

Zane stepped close, shaking his head. “You’re not going alone.”

  “I don’t plan to.”

I’d have my three bonded mates with me. I wasn’t alone.

No more running from my father. I had something to fight for.

  No, not something. Five someones.

Hope I didn’t leave you hanging to much *wink*.

Reese and her guys’s story isn’t finished. Fighting for Them will be out as soon as I can get to you. I’m honestly thinking October 2017. But don’t hold me to that. *grins*
