Matchmaking the Billionaire (Billionaires & Babies Book 2) Page 6

by Leslie North

It had been so long—too long—since she’d treated herself to anything even remotely related to sexual pleasure. Her only outlet came in the form of her hand or a vibrator, so Nick’s slow, exploring tongue was a treat on the same level as winning a luxury cruise. Small noises of satisfaction escaped her as he caressed her with his tongue. He slipped a finger inside her, then another. He pumped his fingers in and out, in and out, until the orgasm assaulted her. It sprang forth out of nowhere, built hot and fast like a water spout, and her entire body quaked and shivered with the explosive force of it.

Nick didn’t let up, either, just kept licking and fingering her until he extracted every last ounce of pleasure. He grinned up at her, looking more than pleased.

“Damn,” was all she could muster. Nick came to his knees then flipped her over onto her belly. He slid her dress over her hips and to the floor, then freed her of panties and bra. She shivered.

“There we go,” he murmured, smoothing a palm over her ass cheek. Her entire body prickled with anticipation. Loving the feel of being taken in by him. This rich man with luxurious tastes. She didn’t forget for even a second that he was accustomed to the best of the best. And if she could be that, for him, for a night…then she wanted to live it to the fullest.

“What’s next on deck?” she asked, wiggling her ass in the air. “You just gonna stare at my butt all night?”

“I would,” he said, and that’s when she noticed he was stroking himself through the briefs. She flipped over, reaching for the briefs.

“These need to come off,” she said, pushing the waistband down. The swollen tip of his cock peeked out, purply and fat. His eyes went hooded as she tugged the briefs down his legs. Her mouth parted involuntarily at the sight. He hadn’t been joking about his massive assets.

And furthermore, the man manscaped—tightly shorn black hair framed his massive centerpiece. She drew a shaky breath, dragging her fingertips down the length of his half-hard cock.

“You were right,” she said, throat suddenly dry. Even though she’d just come, her pussy pulsed at the thought of him burying himself balls-deep. “Your wealth isn’t the only massive thing about you.”

He smirked, reaching for his pants. He fished around inside the pocket, eventually revealing a condom. Haley danced her fingertips up and down the length of his cock, tickling his balls, trailing her thumb along the swollen ridge of his cockhead. Nick ripped open the condom wrapper with his teeth, his abs flinching as she teased him.

“Jesus, that feels amazing,” he murmured, sliding the XL condom over his cockhead.

She giggled and pulled her hand away so he could finish what he’d started. “I’m not even doing anything.”

“I know.” He rolled the condom all the way down the shaft of his cock. “You could probably just blink a few times, and I’d come.”

She snorted, swatting his shoulder. “Oh stop.”

“You have no idea how hot you are, Haley.”

His words sizzled through her as he lowered himself, the tip of his cock finding the damp folds of her pussy. His biceps flexed as he supported himself. She opened her mouth to respond with something snarky, but all her thoughts dissolved as he eased himself inside her.

A gasp tore out of her. Nick stilled, a concerned look creasing his face.

  “Does it hurt?”

“You’re fine.” The monster cockhead strained to fit inside her, but it was a delicious feeling. She didn’t want to admit how long it had truly been. “Just go easy on me, big boy.”

“I’ll go as slow as humanly possible,” he said, his voice edged with restraint. He sank inside her, each new inch gained sending shivers through her body. Her legs splayed open and her eyes drifted shut. This…this was delectable. Divine.

She never wanted it to end.

“You feel so fucking good,” Nick breathed, gripping her hips as he wiggled himself deeper. The stretching sensation gave way to a riot of pleasure. The man hadn’t even properly fucked her yet—just his sinking into her was enough for a spiritual revelation.

“Tell me about it.” She ran her hands over the flat expanse of his chest, down along the hard ridges of his abs. When she hooked her ankles behind him, he groaned.

“Fuck, Haley.” His head dropped, and he surged forward. A ragged breath escaped him. As though simply being inside her had pushed him over the edge. “You know how to test a man’s strength.”

She giggled again. Why did he make her giggle so often, and easily? “Do I? I’m just lying here. I’m being a pretty boring sex partner, actually.”

He narrowed his eyes. “Then you must be a witch.”

“No, I’ve just been celibate.” She rocked her hips against him, and fire flashed in his eyes.

“So you’ve been waiting for me,” he teased, but his voice was strained. He pulled himself out of her, then pushed back in. So slowly that she wanted to scream. “For this.”

“I’ll let you think that, if you want,” she said, gripping his sides as he pulled out and then pushed back in quicker. She pinched her eyes shut, already feeling the prickly warning signs of another orgasm. He filled her so completely, so exquisitely, it was hard not to feel like throwing in the towel on any other future lovers. Nick was it. He’d won the lifetime award.

“Fuck.” Nick threw his head back, his movements becoming jerkier. Unhinged. As if he’d finally given in to the insane sparks uncoiling in their cores, letting this whole thing go up in flames between them. He scooped her up by the small of her back, and he went to his knees as he started fucking her—properly fucking her. Her breasts jiggled as he rocked into her, his eyes locking onto hers so fiercely that she feared he could see into her soul.

“Nick,” she whispered, the heat churning closer to the edge. “I’m close. Again.”

A mischievous smile overtook his face, and he laid her back down onto the cushions. He paused, dragging his fingers down the length of her thigh, then guiding her ankle up until it rested next to his ear.

“Then you better hang on,” he warned. “And don’t worry—no matter how loud you scream, the neighbors won’t hear you.”

She wanted to laugh but couldn’t once he stared an intense, sensual roll against her. He plunged deep, so deep that she thought he might break through to the other side. All she could do was hang on and moan.

Static electricity gathered in her core. Beads of sweat collected on Nick’s brow. The tiny grunts escaping him as he fucked her were the sexiest soundtrack she’d ever heard.

And then the second orgasm unfurled, different and harder and more multi-faceted than the first one, as if it originated in her heart and not her pelvis. Her mouth parted but no sound escaped. That must have been Nick’s cue, because then he rammed against her, fucking her so hard that a scream burst out of her. Totally raw and primal.

Her vision went white and blurry as she came. Nick filling her to the max, combined with the heat of him absolutely engulfing her, created a pleasure that stole her breath. It took her a few moments to even realize that Nick had come too. He lay on top of her, his arms wrapped around her, breathing heavily.

“Jesus, Haley,” he finally said. “You are a fucking witch.”

A weak laugh escaped her. She wrapped an arm around his neck. “I prefer the term sorceress.”

Haley had the clarity of mind to sneak out of Nick’s attic lounge in the wee hours of the morning. After awaking with a start to see the first blue-gray rays of dawn filling the attic, she’d gathered her clothes and dressed as quietly as possible, tip-toeing down the stairs so she wouldn’t wake Mr. Sleeping Beauty.

She paused at the top of the stairs, looking back at Nick sleeping so peacefully, so damn gorgeous. She knew this was a smart move. She couldn’t wake up at his side. Leaving in the night made things official. Put them back into their proper place.

The place where she was nothing more than a fling and Nick was nothing more than her rich, intolerably sexy boss.

Haley paged a ride share home first, to shower and change clothes, then made her way to her mother’s house around nine a.m. The plan had been to let Amanda spend the night, but her mother knew that the whole reason behind the sleepover was so Haley could go on a date. She just didn’t know with who.

Haley tapped on the plain front door before pushing into her mother’s small, clapboard one-story. Amanda jabbered happily from the kitchen in a booster seat. Haley’s mother sat at the dinette, sipping a cup of coffee while overseeing Amanda’s breakfast.

“Well, there she is,” Haley’s mother said sharply, lifting a dark brow.

  “Mommy!” Amanda squealed.

“Hey,” Haley said with a sigh, leaning in to kiss her mother’s cheek. She took Amanda’s head between her hands and kissed the top of her head. “Here I am indeed.”

“A little late, don’t you think?”

“Mom, this is what we agreed on.” Haley collapsed into a chair, her groin aching. She’d had her legs spread for so long last night—and for so many different sex sessions—that she was surprised she could walk today. “Amanda was going to sleep over. Here I am. It’s not even nine thirty.”

Haley’s mom didn’t say anything else, just took a judgmental sip of coffee. Haley rested her fingertips against her temple.

“So, who did you go out with?”

“Why should I tell you?” Haley smirked.

  “Because I’m curious.”

“It wasn’t even a real date,” Haley said, leaning forward to wipe a smear of banana from Amanda’s face. “I was just helping him out.”

  “Who?”

  “My boss.”

Haley’s mom lowered her head so far to look at her over the rim of her glasses, Haley thought her mom’s eyeballs would pop right out of her head. “Haley.”

  “What?”

“You know better than to get mixed up with those rich men.”

Haley sighed and headed to the sink. She busied herself with moistening a paper towel to wipe Amanda’s face. “I’m not mixed up. Thanks for your concern, but you’ve got it all wrong.”

Haley’s mom was quiet as Haley cleaned Amanda up. Once Amanda was out of the booster seat and jumping around the kitchen, her mother took another opportunity to drive the point home.

“You know I’m just looking out for you two, right?” She pulled off her reading glasses, setting aside the newspaper she’d been looking at.

“It was one date,” Haley said, gathering up Amanda’s scattered implements from the kitchen: sippy cup, plastic bowl, only one shoe.

  “I know. I know.”

Haley gritted her teeth, trying to still her tongue before she snapped. Her mother was trying to be helpful. But the attempts at helpfulness often rubbed her more the wrong way than the right. She needed to change the subject. And fast.

“Where’s her other shoe?” She held up the one toddler Converse.

Haley’s mom launched a search for the second shoe, while Amanda giggled and streaked from the kitchen into the living room. When all of Amanda’s stuff was rounded up and the toddler was safe in her car seat, Haley drove home more determined than ever to resist Nick’s charm.

Her mother had been right, albeit misguided. Her mother had no idea what had truly transpired the night before, but maybe she could see Haley’s sex glow. And though last night Haley had convinced herself that it was fine to let loose just once, in the light of day she knew that that attitude had to go back to where it belonged—back into hibernation.

There would be no more fun and games with Nick. And that could only happen by getting the app to give them useful matches.

Back at the apartment, Haley set Amanda up with her favorite cartoon, piled her stuffed animal friends around her, and then brought out her laptop to get some work done from the couch. Updating Nick’s profile—that was today’s priority. Even though it was a Saturday, it was more important than ever find him his match.

The longer she kept saying yes to him, seeing him, spending time with him…the more susceptible she was to believing that tiny voice inside her that told her she wanted Nick for herself.

The voice that told her Nick actually liked her. The voice that lied, saying they’d be great together.

She knew better than to listen to that voice. It had gotten her in trouble before. Why would it be different now?

Haley worked quickly at updating Nick’s profile. It was surprisingly easy to change his interests and desires, now that she knew him on a deeper level. After a half hour of tinkering and rereading, the profile was ready. Nick was officially the most eligible bachelor.

She shut her laptop with a grin, but it faded quickly. Matching him up. The thought almost made her sad. Who might creep out of the woodwork, now that she had his profile sparkling and honest?

It didn’t matter—or rather, it shouldn’t matter. She just needed to keep reminding herself of this.

Whoever came forward as Nick’s true match, Haley had to be happy about.

But when she caught herself gritting her teeth as her mind launched into the stratosphere, she realized that happiness about Nick dating anyone other than herself might be out of the question.

Fine. Just accept it, then. You don’t have to like it.

That attitude, at least, she could shoot for.

Just accept her circumstances and move forward. That was all she’d ever done anyway.

Still, a little knot in her belly warned her otherwise. Asking her the question that just wouldn’t seem to leave these days: But what if Nick is worth fighting for?

  11

Work the next week was tense, simply because Haley refused to acknowledge that they’d shared an earth-shattering night. No matter how hard Nick tried, he couldn’t get her to crack.

He knew she knew—the tiny blushes on occasion were evidence enough, a lingering look he’d catch from across the break room—but hell if she fell into any of his conversational traps or suggestive segues.

All he wanted was for her to say the words: Nick, you blew my fucking mind. Because she’d blown his. And he was dying to tell her.

By Thursday, though, he couldn’t take it any longer. He picked up the phone and called her cubicle.

“What is it?” she sounded distracted right off the bat.

“May I take you and Amanda to a petting zoo tonight?”

The silence on the other end—he couldn’t tell if it was stunned, appreciative, or something else. A keyboard clacked in the background.

  “Um…why?”

“Because it would be a fun thing to do. And I think you have a daughter who likes to do fun things.”

She snorted softly. “Yeah. I do.”

“Call it a work excursion. I’ll even use the company credit card to convince you.”

“Won’t you have a hard time explaining to the accountant why all that rabbit food is related to tech development?”

“He’s encountered stranger things in my books. Now will you?”

She sighed. He liked to think that maybe she missed him and had been as eager to spend more time together as he was. “Yeah. That sounds nice. Amanda will be so excited, actually.”

Nick leaned back in his chair, rubbing a hand over the back of his neck. “And what about Haley?”

  She inhaled sharply. “Nick—”

  “It’s just a question.”

A moment passed before she spoke. “Yeah, Haley’s pretty into it too.”

He grinned. “Should you and I go together to get Amanda?”

“Uh, absolutely not.” The edge returned to her voice. Maybe he was pushing too far, too fast. But dammit, he wanted to spend more time with her. Consequences be damned. “She’s at my mom’s house, and if I show up there with you, shit will just…”

  “What?”

“Hit the fan,” she finished. “Listen, I gotta go. Aren’t you the boss of this place? Tell me to get off the phone and get my ass to work.”

“I’d much rather listen to your sexy voice in my
ear this afternoon.”

She groaned. “Nick. You are not helping.” And then she hung up.

Nick grinned to himself as he flipped through various screens on his computer, trying to return to productivity but failing. Truthfully? He wanted Haley in his office right that minute, so he could back her up against the edge of his desk, smooth his fingers up those silky thighs, find the heat and promise between her legs that officially held him hostage.

What they had going was fun. And it was the only thing that really excited him anymore. The first woman in a long time to click with him. They’d clicked since the beginning, but it had been hampered by the limitations of working together. Now that they’d blasted this door open, he wanted to see where exactly they’d end up.

And he was confident he could get Haley to feel the same way.

The day dragged on. By the time they’d both left work, the plan was to meet at the petting zoo, a ranch southwest of downtown that Nick had rented exclusively for their use that evening. Nick waited by a palm tree and chatted with the owner, a self-proclaimed buckaroo named Daniel who had enough stories about his horses to fill a library. When Haley pulled up, Nick couldn’t stop the grin from spreading.

“You made it to the pony appointment,” he cracked, opening her door once the car was off. She peered up at him.

“You didn’t say anything about ponies.”

“What sort of petting zoo would it be without ponies?” He tugged her by the waist and snagged a quick kiss. He couldn’t help himself. Her eyes fluttered shut, and she pressed a palm to his chest. “Now, are you ready to horse around?”

She cocked a smirk, narrowing her eyes. “You’re pretty good at the dad jokes.”

  “Thanks for noticing.”

Haley unhooked Amanda from the back seat, and the three of them began their tour of the petting zoo with Daniel and Daniel’s wife, Clara. The evening was punctuated by gasps of excitement as Amanda ran her hand over the snouts of bunnies, a mini cow, various sheep, two goats, a pig, three chickens, and of course, a menagerie of ponies. Nick kept his arm wrapped around Haley whenever he could. He simply wanted to be touching her, whenever possible.
