The other ladies either never heard back from their soldier, or never shared anything beyond their e-mails with them. I’ll say it. I was the luckiest one of the bunch. And they were hate-happy for me over it. I couldn’t blame them though. I found a happily ever after in the one place I wasn’t looking for it.
Tay teased me on occasion about my first e-mail; usually when he was fucking me rough and hard, when he was being all commanding alpha, he’d dare me say he wasn’t all male.
But if there was one thing my soldier taught me, it was when to open fire and when to quietly retreat.
My response was always the same. “Oh yeah? Prove it to me, woman.”
And, damn did he prove that he was one hundred percent male, time and time again.
