Mal couldn't even glance at the cards Rory was setting before her. "Why would you do that for me?"
Rory picked up her own hand of cards. "Shall we play for the answer? I should warn you, I've been practicing."
Mal couldn't stop the smile that twitched on the edge of her lips, mirroring Rory's own. Wordlessly, Mal reached for her cards.
It was a good hand. And as always, Mal played to win.
