Once Upon Now Page 26

by Danielle Banas

Ali Novak is a twenty-five-year-old Wisconsin native and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s creative-writing program. She started writing her debut novel, My Life with the Walter Boys, when she was only fifteen. Since then, her work has received more than 150 million hits online. When she isn’t writing, Ali enjoys Netflix marathons, traveling with her husband, Jared, and reading any type of fantasy novel she can get her hands on. You can follow her on Wattpad, Snapchat, and Twitter @fallzswimmer and on Instagram as @alinovak.

Tammy Oja lives in the Metro Detroit area with her husband, Alan, teen children, and dog, Buster Brown. She has always been a voracious reader, and though she is new to writing, she feels like she has been chasing stories her whole life. Her writing journey started on Wattpad, where she began with the joy of finding a place to read to her heart’s content and ended up taking the brave step to trying to write herself. She cannot express how much Wattpad and the people there mean to her. You can find her on Wattpad as @tamoja.

Christine Owen, penname of Joy Moll, writes exclusively via an outdated iPhone. (Consequently her right thumb is gargantuan and her texting skills are outstanding.) She grew up TV-less and started writing in high school when she ran out of things to read. In her free time (who are we kidding, she has kids) she re-arranges her tiny Illinois apartment and spray-paints things she finds on the side of the road. But mostly you can find her tossing peanut butter crackers and cheese sticks at children (usually her own) and begging them to nap. You can also find her on Wattpad as @Christine_Owen.

Jesse Sprague is a speculative-fiction writer whose accomplishments include publishing her short story “Little Cracks” with Acidic Fiction and being a finalist in the PNWA’s literary contest for sci-fi (2015) and short story (2016). In the fall of 2016, her story “Outwitting Alexa” will be in a sci-fi anthology of Wattpad authors titled Nemesis. Along with Wattpad (@jessesprague), she can be found on Facebook, her website jessesprague.com, and on Radish Fiction.
