Further Reading
Many of the poems, plays and novels about Robin that have been published over the last five centuries have already been mentioned in the main body of this book. I am not proposing to repeat them all in this section on ‘Further Reading’. Listed below instead are a number of titles which look at the outlaw as historical figure or cultural icon or both. All of them proved useful and interesting when I was writing this book. Readers who want to learn more about Robin than I have been able to include in a Pocket Essential should search them out.
