Not Letting Go Page 24

“I need to know that you get me, too, Cowboy.”

“I get you,” he said without hesitating. Now, do you get me?”

  I nodded.

  “Say it.”

  “I get you, Gage.”

The second the words were out of my mouth his lips crashed down on mine. When I tried to pull back he opened wider and deepened the kiss. Not able to hold out I instantly gave in and let him have it. A minute later he ripped his mouth from mine and said, “In approximately twenty minutes I am going to slide my cock inside you, Princess, and make you a believer.” Then he handed me back the helmet. “Now we can go.”

Those words played in my head the entire way home so that by the time we arrived I was a hot, horny mess with one thing on my mind…

He pulled us inside one of the open bays. I hopped off the back and watched him park. I barely had my helmet off before he was dragging me into his office. Hands on my ass, he walked me backwards until I was pressed up against the wall.

“When you swung your hot ass around that bar, held out your hand and asked me if I was ready to go home, I almost took you right there.”

“That would have been awkward but hot,” I panted. His chuckle vibrated through me and wrapped around my heart.

Deciding that I needed less talk and more action, I slid my hand down between us and massaged his rising bulge. His head dropped back and he expelled a hissing “fuuuuck.”

Ellie always talks about how much Max likes her on her knees. Ellie, however, is four inches taller than me. If I dropped to my knees I would be sucking Gage’s knee caps or, at best, his thighs. Searching for a quick solution, I zeroed in on his ergonomically correct desk chair. Bingo. I massaged my way up to the top button of his jeans and popped them open. He didn’t have time to register what was happening until I had them halfway down his legs. Once he realized where I was headed with this, his eyes snapped open and he dipped his head to look at me.

“Off, now,” I urged as I continued to tug. His blue gaze ignited as he took a step back and divested himself of his boots, jeans and briefs. Lifting his hands to the collar of his shirt, he pulled it over his head and tossed it on top of his discarded clothes. A gush of air tore from my mouth and all of the blood in my body pooled between my legs. My giant, stud of a man stood in front of me in all of his naked glory and, believe me, every last inch of Gage Blackwell was glorious. If you looked close enough you could see his imperfections, but that’s what made him perfect for me. I pointed to the chair and said, “Sit.” Instead of giving me shit, like I expected, he took four steps back and sat down. My next command was on the tip of my tongue but before I could get it out, he had already opened his legs for me. Good boy.

I knelt between the v of his thighs and gingerly ran my forefinger from the base to the tip of his hungry looking erection. When I traced the same path with my tongue he inhaled sharply and I smiled. Right now at this moment I was more than his princess. I was his queen. Watch me rule. My mouth slightly opened and I wrapped my lips around the bulging tip and sucked. Opening wider, I took him as far into my mouth as I could. At the same time, I cupped between his legs and gave a nice, gentle squeeze. Down, up, squeeze. Down, up, squeeze. I could feel the tension building. Four more and his breathing pattern shifted. His shallow breaths told me that he was getting close. “If you don’t want a mouthful, you need to stop now,” he rasped. I wanted all of him and I wasn’t going to stop until he delivered. All it took was one more down, up and a little extra squeeze and, with a guttural groan, he pulsed into my mouth. Ten seconds later he had me flat on the floor with my pants off. “You liked that, didn’t you?” he asked. Chills of desire ran down my spine and I shivered with need.

I let out a throaty, breathy “Yes.”

The muscles in his forearms flexed as his head dipped between my thighs. I felt his warm breath through my panties and let out an incoherent “Ahhhhhh” of pleasure. His head dipped again and I steeled myself. This time, instead of his breath, I felt a tug and then a cool breeze. Before I could pull up onto my elbows to look, his mouth was on me. Instead of down, up, squeeze, he gave me up, down and suck followed by a wicked little flick of the tongue and a finger caress. I was so primed that all it took was five or six good rounds of this routine and I was gone…done…shattered. If I am his queen then he most definitely is my king.

  Chapter Twenty-One

  Saturday, a week later…

“Joss, you will be happy to know that today I am officially thirty four weeks pregnant,” Ellie said in a sing-song voice.

“Whew,” Joss said and dramatically wiped her hand across her forehead. “We are officially in the clear.”

I was behind the bar at Dragonfly with Joss. Ellie, Susannah and Reyn were perched on the stools directly in front of us with Cas and Bobby likely lurking around nearby in order to make sure that none of Dooley’s invisible minions were in the vicinity. Those two were driving me stir crazy. For the past week they had dogged my every move and it wasn’t just them, either. All of the men in my life were driving me crazy. Add my dad and brothers to the mix and ugh! Good thing Garrett hadn’t thought of that, yet. I had to beg, yes beg, to work behind the bar with Joss. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the only way Max would let Ellie anywhere near me was if both Bobby and Cas were literally at our side to stand watch like secret service agents. Then there was Gage. Double ugh. Overprotective didn’t begin to describe what Gage was. If it was up to him I would never leave MG’s…let alone work again.

“Earth to Piper,” Joss said as she elbowed me in the ribs. “What’s up with you?”

I checked over my shoulder to make sure that Bobby and Cas weren’t in ear shot. They nodded to me from the pool tables as soon as I looked in their direction. Two women were desperately trying to chat them up. Taking advantage of the moment, I leaned in so all of the girls could hear me and asked, “Have any of you heard anything about Dooley recently?”

Joss shook her head. “Not a thing and don’t think I haven’t asked.”

I eyed Susannah and Ellie. “How about you two?”

“I know that Zip spoke to Buck about working at the Charlotte MG and Buck is definitely interested,” Susannah said.

“The guys had a meeting at our house Thursday morning,” Ellie told us. “I don’t think I’m supposed to know about it, so don’t say anything.”

“That was two days ago. Why weren’t Reyn and I included?” I asked her.

“Not sure,” she shrugged. “The only reason I know it even happened is because Max was shouting and it woke me up.”

“What was he shouting about?” Susannah asked.

“Something about finding something or maybe it was losing something. I’m not sure. I didn’t hear much because my need to pee overrode my urge to eavesdrop.” I scowled at her and she laughed and held up her hands. “Only six more weeks Auntie Piper and he will be in your arms. Also, I will no longer have to pee every five minutes.”

“Sorry,” I sighed. “This lack of privacy bullshit is killing me. I can barely go to the bathroom by myself. I had to beg to work the shift with Joss tonight and was only allowed if Cas and Bobby both agreed to babysit.”

“Garrett didn’t think it was a good idea for all of us to be in one place together, but I told him that I was not missing out on one more thing because of Zeke Mirinis and his idiot boss,” Reyn told us.

“Those so-called idiots already hurt you once, so cut the guys some slack,” Joss said.

I knew she was right, but it didn’t change the fact that I felt like I was suffocating.

“I don’t need to tell you what Max thinks. He doesn’t want to let me out of his sight. On top of that, he’s pissy since we aren’t having as much sex as we used to. I mean, really? Do you see this?” She pointed to her stomach. “The doctor thinks that this baby is already in the five pound range. Six weeks from now he could be eleven pounds! Holy shit that’s big! My hee-hoo will never be the same if I have to deliver an eleven pound baby.”r />
“What does the size of the baby have to do with you not wanting sex?” Joss asked.

“Nothing, really, and it’s not that I don’t want to have sex. It’s just that I don’t want to have it three times a day right now.”

“Three times a day!” We all screeched.

Her face broke into an ear splitting grin. “What can I say? My man is a machine.”

“Do you think he would let me interview him for my next article?” Susannah asked.

“Only if you title it, Three Times a Day Keeps the Doctor Away,” Reyn said.

“More like Three Times a Day and Your Man Will Not Stray,” I added.

“How about, Why My Wife Walks Funny,” Joss said and we all broke into laughter.

“That’s rich coming from you,” I murmured and she shot me a bird. “No, really, speaking of sex,” I said, nudging her, “I noticed that Kurt is looking much better.”

“Well, after a certain someone told me that my man was limping around like Trigger with one nut, I had a chat with him.” Ellie burst into hysterical giggles. “What?” Joss asked.

“You mean The Lone Ranger after falling off of Trigger and damaging his junk,” she corrected, still giggling.

Joss smiled. “We both agree that I got a little carried away with the whole baby thing, so we’ve decided to just let the chips fall where they may. What about you Mrs. Blackwell to be? Are you sure you’re ready to take on matrimony?”

I stared down at my ring and smiled. More than you’ll ever know. “I told my parents about the engagement. Mom cried and Dad kept thanking Jesus. I didn’t realize that they were that worried about my future.”

Susannah laughed. “He wasn’t thanking Jesus because you finally landed a man, dumbass. He was thanking Jesus because he won two hundred dollars off of my dad.” I gave her a questioning look and she explained. “They made some stupid bet about which of us would be the first to tie the knot. My dad was convinced it would be me because you were such a ball-buster.”

“Sounds like something your dad would do,” Ellie said.

“No, it sounds like something your dad would do,” I corrected and she laughed. “Speaking of landing my man, did I tell you that Gage is taking me house hunting tomorrow?”

  “No!” everyone collectively shouted.

“Yep. He sold his place in Austin for twice the amount of its purchase price. God I loved that place. Anyway, he wants us to start fresh and that means picking out a house together.”

“There are two in my neighborhood for sale,” Ellie said as she bounced up and down on her stool.

“Stop that,” I told her, “you’re making Bruiser dizzy.”

Ellie and Max lived in a nice traditional two story brick house in South Charlotte. Ellie had grown up in the house and when her aunt died she left it to Ellie. I liked the neighborhood she lived in. A huge YMCA was right down the street where many of our friends worked out and Dragonfly was only a few miles away.

“There are a bunch of houses for sale in my neighborhood, too,” Joss said.

I loved Joss and Kurt’s neighborhood, too. They lived about six or seven miles away from Max and Ellie and right off of Carmel Road which was also in South Charlotte.

Not wanting to hurt anyone’s feelings, I agreed to look in both neighborhoods.

We spent the rest of the night talking about plans for the next weekend and Ellie’s baby shower. By the time Reyn and I closed up and headed back to the garage with Cas and Bobby, I felt a hundred times better. I so loved my girls.

  “I love this house.”

  “I love you.”

“I love you too, Cowboy, but I really love this house.” We had spent the past three hours looking at houses with no luck, until finding this little gem.

“The owners just renovated it,” the agent said. “There is a master downstairs and four additional bedrooms upstairs. Each bedroom has its own connecting bath. There laundry rooms on both levels as well as a wet bar and a kitchenette in the upper level bonus room. As you can see, there is a pool with a cabana out back and even an outdoor kitchen. It’s everything you could ever want!” Her enthusiasm was starting to grate on my nerves. However, she was right. It had everything a person could think of and was much more than we would ever need.

“How much are they asking for it?” Gage asked.

The agent beamed at us and said, “Only one point two million.”

Gage erupted into a choking fit and I patted him on the back. And another one bites the dust. Once he collected himself he asked if we could look around.

“Sure. I need to make several phone calls, so I’ll just be out back by the pool. Take your time.”

“This is it,” I announced. I loved yanking Gage’s chain and this presented the perfect opportunity.

“Baby, I love you like none other and I want to make your dreams come true…”

I cut him off before he could finish. “Then buy me this house. Our four kids will flourish here. Even our nanny will have her own room. It’s perfect!” He blinked at me and was clearly at a loss for words. Without giving him a chance to comment, I dragged him through the master bedroom and into the dressing room which, I might add, was the size of our existing bedroom. Channeling Vanna White, I motioned to the ginormous empty space in front of us. “Just think, the babies can sleep down here in our dressing area until they are three and old enough to stop nursing. Or, who knows? They may even last until four!”

Gage’s eyes grew to five times their normal size and I wondered if it was humanly possible for a person’s eyes to pop out of their heads. “Uhhhh, I didn’t realize they nursed for that long. Four sounds like a lot of kids.”

Not able to stand it any longer, I burst into gales of laughter. His saucer-sized eyes narrowed into little tiny slits right before he pounced.

“Think you’re funny, do you?” Like a striking snake, his hand shot out and latched onto my ponytail. With a cocky smirk on his face he pulled my head back and lowered his mouth to suck on my bottom lip. A wave of heat blasted through my core. One touch from this man and I was ready to go. The water falling from the hot tub into the pool outside and the murmuring sound of our agent talking on the phone was muted by the sound of our heavy breathing. Three minutes before walking out the door I decided to wear a knee length twill skirt and tall leather boots. Right now I was patting myself on the back for that very wise decision. Gage may have control of my head, but I have control of my hands. Reaching down, I lifted up my skirt and stripped off my panties. His eyes, still riveted on my face, warmed into molten pools of desire.

“What are you doing, Princess?” he huskily asked.

Leaning up on my tiptoes I brushed my lips across his. “Hopefully you,” I whispered against his mouth.

I watched his taught line of self-control snap. With one hand tightly gripping my ponytail and the other on my bare ass, he lifted me up off the floor. I wrapped my legs around his waist and ground my center into his denim covered erection. His mouth slammed down on mine and his moan vibrated all the way down to the tips of my toes. Not able to wait a second longer, I opened his pants, took him in my hand and steered him to my entrance. Lunging forward, he thrust into me and tingling bursts of ecstasy wrapped around my spine. One hand was a vice on my ponytail, while the other held me up as he powered in and out of me. The thrill that we could be caught any second heightened all of my senses. It was electrifying…so much so, that I couldn’t hold out any longer.

“Gage, I’m there.” I barely got the words out and I was clinching around him in an earthshattering orgasm.

Still inside me, he dropped to his knees and laid me down on the plush carpet. He picked up a deep and fast pace. Within seconds he was there and shouting his release into my neck.

Without a word we got up and straightened our clothing. Hand in hand we went to find the agent.

“Nice house but a million is too steep for us. Thanks for letting us look, though,” Gage told her.

  “Which p
art did you like the best?” she asked.

Gage looked down at me and winked.

“The dressing room,” we both answered. We said our goodbyes and walked to the car. Who cares if we didn’t find a house? We found something better.

  Two days later…

This conference room could use a touch of paint. A happy yellow or an ocean blue would make a world of difference. Reyn’s leg restlessly bounced against mine and I nervously glanced at the door.

“I am sick to death of waiting,” she murmured. You and me both.

Max had called a meeting over thirty minutes ago. Reyn and I, of course, had showed up on time. Everyone else? Not so much.

I was contemplating ripping Reyn’s leg off and beating her with it when Garrett, Cas and Bobby rolled in.

“Glad you could make it,” I sarcastically threw out.

Ignoring me, they found their seats.

Max, Gage and Zip appeared next. Gage’s eyes found mine and he winked before sitting on the other side of me.

“Sorry to call you all here in the middle of a work day,” Garrett said. “We know you are busy so we’ll make it quick. Last meeting Bobby told you that Gary had disappeared off the grid. Well, it looks like Dooley Shane has followed suite.”

  “What the fuck?” Gage growled.

Garrett held up his hand. “Let Bobby and Cas explain what they’ve found.”

All eyes shot to Bobby and Cas.

“Apparently a man looking suspiciously like Gary Sanderson boarded a private jet owned by one Dooley Shane the same night that Gary disappeared off the grid,” Bobby explained. “The plane was headed for Mexico.”

Gage and Zippo stared at each other for a moment before Gage said, “Dooley has a place in Mexico.”

“Yeah,” Zip agreed. “He used to spend a couple of weeks there during the winter and a month or so in the summer. I forgot all about that.”
