Scouts Out: Books One and Two Page 52

by Danny Loomis

There was a lot to tell her, but best to keep it short and sweet the first time. Ian glanced at her, and felt his heart soar. Her eyes were open, fastened on him. He opened his mouth, closed it. Reaching out, he gently stroked her cheek, which brought a tremulous smile to her face. So much to tell her. He cleared his throat.

  “Will you marry me?”

Her smile expanded, lit up the entire room as well as Ian’s universe.

  BIO FOR DANNY LOOMIS

Danny was born and raised in Oregon, and was always an avid reader of science fiction. He served in the U.S. Army, spending time in the Infantry as well as the Chemical Corps. After that, he spent twenty-five years as a health physicist conducting training to first responders and those interested in things radiological. This sharpened his interest in the “What If” side of science, since he also spent a good bit of time on anti-terrorist activities as they related to hazardous materials, to include nuclear.

Over thirty years of his career involved writing technical and training material. Besides this, he found time to write travel articles for magazines, and a humor column for a newspaper. Two mystery novels (Baker’s Gold and Baker’s Redemption), plus a short story collection (Bedtime Stories for Grownups) have been published by him.
