When she put it like that, I couldn’t help but agree with her. She was right, this was the sort of thing we would do. I didn’t think that anyone in my life would be shocked to know that the day I actually got married was an impulsive one. Kenzie and Jeff probably had bets on this sort of thing. I wondered which one of them would win. Probably Kenzie since that damn woman seemed to know me better than I knew myself.
“Well, if you’re sure.” I held out my hand for her to link through it. “Let’s get married.”
Fucking hell, even after all this planning, it was a little shocking for me to think about getting hitched. Even with Emily on my arm, it was a bit of a shock. I didn’t ever think that this day would come. But I was over the moon that we were here now, that after everything we had made it. Me and Emily were living the happy ever after dream…
As we stepped in to the little chapel, I noticed that same magical feel which I got when I stepped in to the Circus of Heavenly Movement room. It might not have been quite as fancy, but that didn’t matter. If Emily didn’t need all of that, then I didn’t either. I only needed her and our love. This wedding was all about us.
“Oh, wow!” the girl behind the desk declared. “You two are so beautiful. You look stunning.”
Emily giggled and blushed, taking the compliment well. “Don’t you get lots of beautiful people in here? You are a wedding chapel after all. You must have brides coming through here all the time.”
“Yes, but never as stunning as you.” She ran her eyes up and down Emily. “Actually, I know you.” She rose from her seat and gasped. “You’re that model for Redness, aren’t you? Me and my friends love you…” Then she turned to me. “Oh, and you’re that cowboy Emily was with… but didn’t you guys split up?”
Emily grabbed my hand and rose it high. “Clearly not if we’re here to get married. You can’t always believe everything that you read, you know. Sometimes, the media get it wrong.”
I guess we weren’t going in to detail about the hard time when we weren’t together which was good. I didn’t want to erase it from our history forever because it was an important part of who we were. It taught us that we couldn’t live without one another, but I did think it was better not to get in to it every single time. Plus, the lesson that the media didn’t always get it right was a good one. Everyone needed to learn that because it was true. I hadn’t necessarily been on the terrible end of it myself, but there was always time for that to change.
“Yes, yes, I can see that. So, you guys are really here to get married? Let me just get…”
She raced away, probably to get some of her friends to gawk at Emily which made me laugh. “You’re popular.”
“I never thought that I would see the day,” she gushed. “I always thought that I would be the model in the back ground, in the smaller campaigns. I didn’t think that anyone would recognize me.”
“Now, you’re at the stage where you can’t go anywhere.”
“Especially not with you. The bull riding world champion! In Las Vegas where you won it.” Her face fell a little. “I really wanted to be here to watch you win it, you know? I wanted to see you succeed.”
“You watched me on TV, didn’t you? Just knowing that you saw me is enough.”
“Well, next time I am going to be there. There isn’t a job in the world that will stop me.”
I wanted to make a comment about how her priorities seemed to have changed quickly since she had risen to the top, but it didn’t feel like the right thing to do. She knew, she probably just wanted it to be one of those things that went unsaid. I wondered if she was struggling with the change in her fierce ambition, because that had always been such a massive part of her life. I would always support her no matter what she wanted to do.
Before I could say anything anyway, Emily found herself surrounded by girls who worked at the chapel and all respected her well. She smiled and spent time with them, laughing and taking selfies, really living her dream. As none of them were interested in my picture or autograph, I got to step back and watch her in action.
“Alex Fancy.” All of a sudden, hands clasped down on my shoulders. “I saw you win the world championship. You were absolutely incredible out there. An absolute pleasure to watch at the rodeo.”
“Oh, right, thank you…” I trailed off, allowing him to fill in with his name.
“I’m Minister Smith.” He held out his hand and I shook it. “Here to marry you.”
Wow, this was like a convention or a fan get together, but it was nice. It actually made the whole thing feel much more personal to know that at least the other people involved knew us, even if we didn’t exactly know them. There wasn’t a bad word being said about either of us, so this was awesome news.
By the time we got to the whole walking down the aisle part, I got the impression that me and Emily were both relaxed and really in to this. This wasn’t where I expected the night to end. I didn’t think that my proposal would transform in to an instant marriage, but here we were doing just that. And it really was perfect. There was so much love in the room, it felt absolutely wonderful. Especially with my beautiful bride walking towards me.
“Wow,” I whispered as she got closer to me. “You really do take my breath away.”
And tonight, she would take my breath away. Tonight, the moment that we had been waiting for forever would arrive and we’d be connected properly at long last. As she took my hands, electricity sparked all the way through me. The sizzle that had always been there between us was about to be fully explored.
“You don’t look too bad yourself,” she replied with a smirk. “Luckily, since it’s our wedding day, Mr. Cowboy.”
I smoothed down my suit and smiled. Although I did feel a little naked which Minister Smith seemed to notice because he reached in to a cupboard behind him and he pulled out a cowboy hat for me. It wasn’t mine, but enough.
“Emergency cowboy hat, huh?” I laughed. “Wow, you guys really are prepared here.”
“We want people to have the best experience here. To really enjoy their wedding.”
I tipped my hat at my bride to be, really making her laugh. Luckily, she wasn’t the sort of person to get pissed off by me combining this hat with my suit, which was exactly what made her so perfect for me.
“Okay, so now we are ready…” Minister Smith declared. “Let’s get you two married.”
He started on with his speech, but I could hardly focus on what he was saying. I stared in to Emily’s eyes, only seeing her. Even the girls sitting in the witness seats, far more than two since they all wanted to watch our ceremony, vanished in to nothingness. It was only me and the love of my life, sealing our love.
Yet another thing Emily was right about. This was the best way to get married.
By the time it got to speaking my vows, I just couldn’t wait to say them, and to really mean them. “ I, Alex Fancy, take you, Emily Mason, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward forsaking all others; for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God’s holy law. In the presence of God, I make this vow.” I chuckled. “I love you, Emily. So damn much.”
Tears filled her eyes as she repeated the same thing as me, causing me to get emotional as well. I didn’t often let wetness flood my cheeks, but today I didn’t mind. Today, I didn’t care who saw me get in to a state. These were happy tears anyway, happy because I was getting everything that I didn’t even know I wanted.
“I love you too,” she whispered as she finally finished speaking. “You’re everything to me.”
A collective ‘aww’ broke up from everyone watching. This was a true example of us exalting love, although it wasn’t for the guy in the performance anymore. It was just for us. And that was the way that it would be forever. I fell in love with this woman before I realized it. She completed me and my life. Now, she was mine and me hers.
“You may now kiss the bride.”
As I bent Emily down and I crashed my lips to hers, I was vaguely aware of cameras flashing around us. Knowing our luck, these images would end up online telling everyone that we were married before we had the chance to. But right now, the world knowing that we were married was the least of my problems.
“Hey there, wifey,” I smiled down at her with love in her eyes. “Mrs. Fancy.”
“Mrs. Fancy, ooh I might like the sound of that… hubby.”
I rose her up and hugged her tight, feeling her pounding heart against my chest. Anticipation flooded her in the same way that it did me. Now that it was official, we both knew what was to come next. The hotel room. As Emily tugged on my arm, making me leave the chapel instantly, I knew that was on her mind too…
Thirty-Six
Emily (twenty minutes later)
My entire body pulsed and throbbed as we stepped in to the hotel room. When we were here before, only a few hours ago, unpacking and talking excitedly about the Circus of Heavenly Movement, I didn’t realize that we would come back here engaged, then married, and ready to spend the rest of our lives together.
“So…” Alex said with a smirk as he closed the door behind him. “Mrs. Fancy…”
He was waiting, even now he needed me to make the first move to check that I was okay to do so. I knew what I wanted though; I wasn’t hesitant at all. I stepped closer to him, swinging my hips as I closed the gap between us. A tingle raced through my body; it was like little electrical pulses exploding constantly. They intensified as I swung my arms around my husband’s neck, and I rose on to my tip toes to kiss him. I didn’t think that I would ever end up here, with a husband, believing in love at last, but I’d been lucky enough to get it all.
“Mmm, you taste so good,” I murmured against his mouth as she hands circled my waist. “So good.”
Alex didn’t answer me. Instead he moved his mouth off mine and down my throat, setting me on fire. Flames licked over the parts of me which he brushed against, making me moan with pleasure. As my eyes slid closed, I was shocked to discover that I wasn’t scared to know this was leading somewhere. With Alex, I was thrilled. I wanted to know what he felt like inside. My head lolled backwards, I exposed more of my throat to him, which he took full advantage of. He licked and sucked hard, probably leaving a mark as he claimed me.
“Fucking hell, Emily, you have no idea how sexy you are, my angel.”
Angel. That word reminded me of the first night we kissed when he referred to me as that. We had come full circle and that was incredible. I never would have thought we had a chance to get this far…
“Get on the bed,” he growled, dragging me from my nostalgia. “I want to see you.”
I didn’t take my eyes off him as I stepped backwards until my legs hit the bed. Then after only a second of pausing, I fell backwards on to the sheets with my arms spread wide. I couldn’t stop myself from giggling with glee. My head was in the clouds already and he hadn’t even touched me yet. God, I was a mess.
He peeled my high heels off first, slowly grazing his hands over my feet. Somehow, with Alex doing this, I wasn’t falling apart a tickled mess. It just felt sexy. It sent electricity all the way to my core. His fingers edged their way up slowly up my legs making me shudder. I wanted to snatch my thighs away because the intensity was too much, but I didn’t. He was like a predator climbing up my body, ready to devour me, and I was frozen, allowing myself to be eaten. There wasn’t a scrap of fight in me, I wanted him to take me.
The nearer he got to where I was aching for him, the higher the skirt on my dress rose, the harder it got to breathe. He really had taken my breath away and I couldn’t seem to get it back. It didn’t matter how much I sucked backwards; I couldn’t shake off the dizzy sensation rocketing through my brain. I was drunk on him.
“Let me take this off,” Alex whispered gently. “I want to see you. Can I see you?”
I sat up willingly and allowed him to slide the pure white dress off, shedding away my purity forever. As the material whipped away and the cool air of the air conditioning popped goose bumps all over me, Alex’s eyes nearly popped out of his head. I loved that look of desire, so I hooked my arms around my back and popped open my bra.
“Oh fuck,” he moaned as his eyes drank in my nipples. “You are so god damn beautiful.”
He pushed me back on the bed and his lips connected with my nipple which was already standing to attention. He circled his tongue all around it, instantly showing me how amazing it would feel to have his mouth down there, tasting my clit. My back arched; my hips rolled in to him. I wanted more. He tugged and teased, creating a strange pleasure pain mix and it sent me spinning like crazy. I clawed at the sheets below me, needing something to cling on to. I needed to keep me connected before I lost my damn mind already.
“Does that feel good?” he murmured, his words vibrating over my body. “Do you like it?”
“I fucking love it. Alex, I need more, I want more. Alex, fucking hell, I…”
I lost the ability to speak as his lips slid down to my stomach. He kissed, leaving a trail of glitter and sparkles as he went. By the time he got to the waist band of my underwear, I was about to scream loudly. I shoved my fist in my mouth to stop myself. I didn’t want Alex to know how close he had me to the damn edge already, it was crazy.
“Are you okay?” he asked quietly while dragging his fingers along the elastic of my panties, never quite going inside. I was about to kick him if he didn’t stop teasing me already.
“No,” I shot back. “I’m not. I’ve waited a long time for this. I don’t need to wait longer. “
“Yeah, that’s true.” His fingers slip down through my pubic hair. “I shouldn’t be so mean.”
“Oh God,” I yelled out as he touched my wetness. My hips bucked without me having any control over myself. “Fuck, Alex, that’s…” He dragged towards. “Oh my fuck, it’s too much, it’s too…”
His fingers plunged in deep, sending shock waves of pleasure through me. He held them there for a few moments, massaging me, touching me all over in ways that felt incredible. Somehow, he was already an expert on what my body needed, and it was incredible, phenomenal, mind blowing. I didn’t want it to stop.
As he pumped his fingers in a delightfully rhythmic movement, his mouth moved towards me, his breath blowing air all over my core. The anticipation filled me up, I was about to burst and explode. I knew that amazing tongue of his was coming soon and I couldn’t wait. Knowing what it was like on my nipple wasn’t enough.
“Stop it,” I rasped out, barely able to make words. “Stop teasing me. You promised.”
He did what I asked and gave me his tongue, circling and tracing the most wonderful patterns over my clit. I fantasied about what this would feel like a million times, but I had no idea it would be like this. It was too much, too intense, I was on a steam train and he was already pushing me towards the station.
“Fuck,” I yelled out, no longer caring if I was being too loud. This was a posh hotel room anyway. The walls had to be thick. “Fucking hell, Alex, oh my God, I love that, I want more.”
“Mmm, I love how vocal you are,” he groaned against my soaking wet slit. “I love you being vocal.”
If he wanted me to tell him what I wanted, then I damn well would. I’d let him know exactly what felt good. “I want more,” I screamed. “More. Faster. Harder. More fingers, more tongue.”
He practically consumed me, giving me just what I wanted. I couldn’t say anymore even if I wanted to, because his fingers were gently fucking me, pushing so deep in to me I could feel everything, while his tongue flickered over my clit at the speed of light. The tension of pleasure completely filled me up. Every muscle stiffened in anticipation as Alex took me to that amazing brink right before I fell and as I looked down at him, I didn’t want this moment to end. My first time with a man and I just wanted to stay here forever.
“Shit… no!” I cried out as he pulled himself away. When I wanted this moment to last for
ever, I didn’t mean that I wanted him to pull away and leave me on the edge with no satisfaction. There was no way that after waiting for such a long time, my first time with a man was supposed to end in frustration. “No, what are you doing?”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to leave you frustrated.” He smirked as he moved up my body, shimmying all the way up me as if I didn’t need him to stay exactly where he was. “I just wanted to kiss you.”
“I want to kiss you as well,” I murmured. “But I’m very frustrated right now, and you know that.”
He pressed his lips to mine and used his legs to nudge mine apart ever so slightly. I did as he commanded and felt his thick, throbbing erection teasing my entrance. Now, I really was throbbing for him. The need that he had left in me was all consuming, completely over powering. As we kissed, I ran my fingers through his hair, tugging every time it got too much. I wanted him to know just how much I needed to feel him, how deep I wanted him.
“Take me,” I whispered in to his ear while rolling my hips towards him. “I want you now.”
He lifted up, holding up his weight with his muscular arms, and he held himself in place while he slid in slightly. It pinched a little, it definitely felt very different to his fingers, so I was glad that he took things slowly. It was so nice for Alex to be so wonderfully caring with me. It meant so much. It just confirmed that he was perfect.
“That feels okay,” I reassured him. “You can be a little less careful with me if you want.”
He ignored my advice and continued to thrust carefully until he plunged all the way in. My head lolled backwards. Despite the strange little stinging sensation, it felt incredible. This moment was absolutely worth every single second of waiting. I loved it, but only because it was with Alex. I wouldn’t have been able to trust anyone else like I do him.
