They left the wooden house and walked into the forest. After about 20 minutes, they reached a small clearing the size of a basketball field. A Glycan fighter jet was sitting there. It looked decades old with dents, shots and scratches all over the body.
“I spent the past days checking it. I thought you might need it to see your girlfriend. Works fine. I flew it yesterday.” Nisasen said easily.
Jason marveled at the fighter jet and said, “The moment I saw my face, I gave up seeing her.”
“I don’t blame you and you know it might be better this way. You see this knife. It is a gift from a Human. His name is Logan.” Nisasen said as he pointed at his big knife.
“I was wondering how you got a Human-made knife. I know what you mean.” Jason said in an understanding voice.
“Alright, I will leave this fighter jet to you.”
“I don’t know what to say.” Jason said emotionally.
“You take care.” Nisasen said sincerely and handed Jason a crystal.
Jason took it over and said, “Thank you. What if you need to use the jet?”
“I haven’t used it since I got here. That is how long? Like more than 80 years.”
Jason smiled reluctantly. He walked to the jet, climbed into the cockpit and inserted the crystal into the slot on the dashboard. The system came online and the engine started.
Jason saluted Nisasen and then lifted the jet off the ground. For the last time, he looked at Nisasen. Then he pushed the throttle all the way forward. The jet blasted off into the sky.
Once it reached the outer space, Jason glanced over at the planet and sighed, “Sorry. Gloria.”
The jet disappeared into the deep space.
Chapter 178
Gloria, Titainein, Erikon and Lucis was on the way to planet HY1217. Gloria managed to decode the message and it read “Teitye. 3329847132. Take care of John.” There was also a coordinates for planet HY1217. Later Gloria talked with Titainein and learned that John was Jason’s older brother. She was surprised that Jason never mentioned anything about John. Gloria decided to visit John, hoping he might know where Jason was. Titainein asked Erikon and Lucis to come along. She felt they would make it easier to talk to John.
It turned out that Teitye was an underground clinic which would perform any type of treatment as long as the customer could pay for it. It was located in a dead volcano and it took Gloria and her friends half a day to find it.
As the space vessel descended into the volcano, Titainein took out several pistols from a bag and gave each person one piece.
“Are we expecting some trouble?” Lucis asked seriously.
“No, but this place is where you want to get patched up and want nobody to find out. Better be careful.” Titainein said easily as she loaded her gun.
“Jason never really talked about John.” Erikon said.
“Maybe they didn’t get along very well.” Gloria guessed.
“Gloria, don’t you worry. Jason is strong. He will be fine.” Erikon said confidently.
Gloria nodded and gave Erikon a kind smile.
As the vessel entered the perimeter of the clinic, several fighter jets surrounded the vessel and asked for the access code. Gloria gave them the string of numbers in the message. The jets then let them through. The vessel touched down on the bottom of the volcano.
Gloria and others stepped out of the vessel and headed into a well-lightened tunnel. There were several security checks and they had no choice but to surrender their guns. Then they entered into an enormous cavern. It was a small city with hundreds of buildings covered by all kinds of medical advertisements. Several robots came to Gloria and her friends and asked what kind of treatment they were looking for. After 30 minutes, Gloria finally found a place to ask something rather than treatment. She learned that the first four digits of that string of numbers was the registration number of a build in this community. They quickly found the three-story battered building and it had a big sign reading genetic modification at the front. They walked into the building and headed to the reception desk. A Sityeuen dressing in white was sitting there leisurely. Gloria walked to the Sityeuen and said, “Hello, we are looking for a patient.”
As soon as the Sityeuen saw Gloria, he sat straight up right away and said, “We don’t usually have Glycan here. The name of the patient.”
“John Marton.”
“Yes, we have John Marton. You guys must come to pick him up. He finished all treatments about two weeks ago.”
“Something like that.” Gloria said.
“Please follow me.”
Gloria and others followed the Sityeuen onto the second floor and entered a room at the end of the hallway. A man was sitting next to the window, looking outside, leaving his back to Gloria and others.
“John, finally someone come to pick you up.” The Sityeuen said happily.
“Really?” John said as he turned around.
The moment Gloria saw his face, she almost fainted. Except the long hair, he looked just like Jason.
“They are twins?” Erikon said in surprise.
“It seems so.” Lucis was still in shock.
“This is going to be interesting.” Titainein sighed.
“I will leave it to you guys.” The Sityeuen said and headed out.
“Hi, I am Erikon.” Erikon waved at John.
“John.”
“These are my friends. Gloria, Lucis and Titainein.” Erikon did a quick introduction. Lucis and Titainein acknowledged John. Gloria gazed at John, her lips shaking, but she didn’t say anything.
“So my father sent you guys?” John asked as he looked around Gloria and others.
“Yes, kind of.” Titainein said hesitatingly.
“Where is my father?”
Titainein looked around at Erikon, Lucis and Gloria. Erikon and Lucis shook their heads. Gloria was still lost.
“We don’t know.” Titaintein said.
“Then how did you find me?”
“Someone sent us a message.” Eirkon said.
“I see.”
They fell into an awkward silence.
Titainein nudged Gloria and asked, “Gloria, don’t you have something to ask?”
“Jason?” Gloria said in a shaking voice.
“Oh, right! I almost forgot. Where is my fucking little brother?” John said coldly with an evil smile.
