“Please.” I choked and dropped my head face first on my pillow, muffling my cry when his other hand found my clit. He was a busy man, working me from both sides, front and back. He had me primed within seconds and I was already building again for my second release.
“I’m close again Baby, stop or I’ll come before you’re inside me.”
His fingers stopped stroking from both ends and though I had asked him to stop, I was frustrated and bereft without the sensations. “I’m gonna try and move slow, Bird but I’m on a thin wire right now and I don’t think I’m’a last too long either.”
“Then we come together, Baby.” I said and lift my ass an invite.
I felt the blunt head of his cock pressing past the tight ring of muscle. It burned and there was an enormous pressure before the head of him slipped in and my world became a buzz…

She was tight and hot, trusting me to take her in the most primal way I could. I was in so deep with her, so in tuned to her body’s response to my own that with every thrust I was cringing, desperate to fuckin’ come again.
“So tight…” I groaned and pressed in further. I am close to all the way in and I want to rut and pound inside her. I hold back though. I’m not a prick and the thought of hurting her makes me sick. I want her pleasure here; I want to make her come so hard that I erase all the others before me. That, and I figure if I’m a good boy she’ll let me back in this heaven that is her ass.
“All yours, Baby.” She gasps when I slip in all the way. I pause deep inside and let her ass stretch to accommodate me. I want to fuck her so bad, but I want her pleasure more.
“Good, Bird?” I hiss and feel the throb in my fangs as I look down at the arching perfection of the woman I am inside of. I want her vein, I watch it bounce in tune with her heartbeat. All I can think of is pumping into her as her bloods pumps into me.
“Yes, God yes. Finger my clit Baby, I am that close.”
I can’t deny her and even if I could, I wouldn’t. Her ass was a divine tight space that I could spend hours acquainting my cock with. But her pussy was the most perfect thing I knew in this life; so sweet and warm and wet. My fingers were brushing her clit, and the clicking sound of her wetness combined with the gasping and moaning between every thrust had me close to bursting.
“Let me mark you, Tavern?” I asked because I know women are weird about come up their arse. It makes me hard just thinkin’ ‘bout it. And I have thought about it.
A lot.
Daily.
She looks over her shoulder to meet my eyes. Her blue eyes are glassy and lust drunk. The sight of her has me stopping, reaching down to squeeze my base before I come regardless of her wishes.
“Yes Baby, mark me.” She presses her ass back against me in a ruthless tease to get me fucking her again. I shoot my hips against her ass quickly, in one hard fast thrust… and watched her quiver and shake as she came in a mindless scream.
“Oh fuck Bird…” I cry out and shudder as each pulse of come races through my dick. Each shot makes me thrust harder, trying to get deeper. Tavern has become mindless, she is yelling out my praises and whimpering as the rush of my come drenches her ass making me slip in and out faster while I chase the end of my release. Before the last wave takes me, I bend down and lay over her back licking a path along her neck. “Mine!” I growl. She screams in pleasure as my fangs bite down on her neck, her blood like wine as I feast on her, our bodies one.
Chapter Thirty-Nine
Tavern
We lay in the bed naked and lazy as the endorphins from my blood heal Preacher. The high of his feeding from me while fucking me has drained my energy as well. I was never more certain in my life as I was now, laying with him and begging for a forever he offered me.
“Yes…” I whisper, and trace my fingers along his arm as it rests just below my breasts. It is light out and will be for a few more hours. Hours I want to spend showing him how much I love him.
“Yes what, Bird?” He asked and kissed my earlobe.
I smiled. “Yes, I want to be a vampire.”
He stills at my answer and I feel myself flush with embarrassment. What if what Stupor said held value? Was the only reason he asked me was because he thought I would never do it. Feeling like a fool and more than a little pissed, I feel his grip on my arm tighten. “I smell that anger and fear, Bird. No more running, remember?”
“Do you still want me to be a vampire?” I ask him point blank, which isn’t like me at all. I am trying to be open and honest though, like he asked me to be, and I’m hoping it won’t backfire on me.
“Tavern, I want you anyway I can have you.” He rose onto his arm and hovered over me. “I want to have you forever, as mine, but not if you’re frightened by it. I’ll hold your hand as long as the Lord lets me have you. I just want you, Bird.”
I melt as he speaks. He truly is perfect. Tears rimmed my lashes, but for once they were for my happiness. “I want you to turn me. I can do my job from home and you’ll teach me how to handle the hardships of life as a vampire.”
His lips drop to mine and I open to him. His kiss is rough and hard and everything frenzied inside of me is screaming ‘Yes!’
“So I take it you’ll do it?” I asked against his lips with a smile. I feel his smile. I don’t think I will ever be this happy again.
“I will, but not right now. I want you to enjoy a few sunsets and sunrises. I want you to eat up all your favorite foods and I want you warm beside me a little longer.”
“I’m in no rush, Baby. I’m here forever.”
He kissed me again, this time slower and with promise. “I want to have you again love, but I need to check on Jezzi.”
My stomach plummeted, my happiness fading as reality came crashing back into focus. “Can I come with you?” I asked because I needed to see her. I have to know for certain that it’s her before I allow myself to jump to conclusions. I know Jezzi, well I did know her, as well as I know myself. If it was her then I would have an idea of how to handle her. Unlike me, Jezzi hadn’t had a choice in the matter of being turned. I didn’t know what her reaction would be. Whatever it was though, I would be there for her every step of the way, with my man at my side as her Sire. She would be ok because we would fight to make sure of it.
“I want you there, yes. I need to know for certain that it’s your girl. It makes sense though. Darcallion asked me if I would bargain and I said no. He asked me…” He trailed off, his eyes on me. He looked soft and… in love. “He asked me if I would bargain for you and I said I would.”
“You told them about me?” I asked, completely floored. We had fought about it right before he left and he was adamant about keeping me out of it and making them think I was nothing to him.
He nodded and I closed my eyes in peace. “I couldn’t deny it when they asked if I loved you. I don’t think I would ever be able to deny it Bird, and Darcallion knew it.”
I cup his face in my hand and lean up, the sheet baring my breasts but I didn’t care. I place my lips on his and taste his mouth with love. “I love you, Mac.” I said with a smile.
“I love you, Tavern.” He kissed my nose and then with vampire awesomeness he leapt from the bed. “Shower, then off to see your girl and Bas.” His arm is out for me to take. I do, because with him at my side I can face anything.

Preacher
We have been waiting for Jezzi to wake up. I haven’t left her side since Tavern and I came from the shower three hours ago. I fucked her twice against the wall of the shower. Her soapy skin, all slippery and warm, reminded me of her cunt, and I’d been a goner.
Now I sat here, beside my first vampire, and waited, hoping like hell I did it right. Cash walked in looking haggard and beat, and took a seat beside me. The bottle of water in his hand had the label peeled off and he kept pressing on the plastic making it snap and pop.
After about an hour of that damn noise I couldn’t take it anymore. “Wh
at in the bleedin’ hell has you so fuckin’ annoying this morning?” I say it hoping to make him laugh, but his eyes are distant. “What is it, buddy?” I asked dropping the joking tone.
“I can feel her link to you through our link. She is strong, Preacher, I think she’ll make it.”
I look to Jezzi who is nothing but a corpse at the moment. If the effects take hold and the Sireing was successful, not much will change. Her skin tone will even out from the sickly grey it is now, to a pale alabaster cream. Her eyes, whatever color, will darken. Her lips will become more red, her body and strength will be more fierce. Her hair will shine, unlike the dull mess it is now. I hoped for her sake that it worked, hoped doubly that it worked for my girl’s sake.
“How will I know if she makes it?” I asked Cash who is still popping that fuckin’ bottle.
“You’ll feel it, like a tickle in your throat. You’ll wanna cough and drink water, but it won’t clear. By the time she wakes your voice will be hoarse and you’ll need to feed her more of your blood.” He shrugged and clasped my shoulder. “I’ll be here with you.”
“What about Bastian?”
He closed his eyes cupping his hands over his face. The move is telling, it’s what he does when he is stressed. “I feel the tickle so I know he’ll make it.”
I swallowed, but felt nothing. I can’t help but feel as though I failed. “I can’t feel a fuckin’ thing. Think that means somethin’?”
He shook his head. “I have a pretty big bloodline, this is cake to me. This is your first so you won’t feel it as early on as I do.”
I nod and look at Jezzi, praying she’ll make it. I hold my rosary in my hand and start praying again. I will head over to Bastian soon to bless him again, but right now, I’m blessing Cash. He just doesn’t know it.
“I think I fucked up, Preacher?” Cash said, and I feel immense relief that he’s ready to talk.
“How?”
He hangs his head defeated. “Princess says she wants to stay here for a few weeks to think.”
“What?” I asked, and there is more emotion in that word than I can define.
He nodded. “I had planned to propose and do it proper. After Tavern happened, we held off planning for the wedding and focused on that situation. Every time we were ready to resume the plans, more shit kept happening. Then she started talking about it non-stop. Every fucking conversation ended with something like ‘When we get married’. I wanted to surprise her with it. I had Stupor working on all her flowers and plans and shit. He even got a dress in her size and everything.
Once we got back to her room after feeding Bas, I asked for her vein. She gave it to me and I took what I could without making her sick and she flipped the fuck out. Started talking about how I never wanted her. I don’t fuckin’ get it.”
I couldn’t even begin to pretend I knew what madness Cookie had goin’ in her mind. Whatever it was, she was furious. Because I knew, as well as I knew my own heart, that she loved him with everything inside of her. “Did you ask her what was up her arse?”
“Yeah, I told her she was acting like a lunatic and then… fuck! I told her to shut up.”
Bleedin’ fool my buddy, Cash. “You did what now?” I had to have heard that wrong. He seemed to like his dick attached to his body.
“I told her I didn’t mean it, and that was when she said she needed a break from me. She said, and I am quoting her, “You are so busy trying to either fuck me or feed from me all the time, that you don’t stop to see me. I am very noticeable Cash, and I can make you listen, but choose not to because I respect you.”
“Sounds like a reasonable argument. We have all been on edge these last few months. You were keeping her out of it though, she just thinks it’s because you don’t want her.”
He drops his head between his legs again. “I just wanted to see her stunned, ya know.” He looked at me then with an expression I had never seen him with. He was scared shitless. “I love her so much, Preacher. I don’t know what I do to fix this.”
“Let her breathe.” Says my girl from the door. She makes her way toward us and sits down beside me. I need her closer though so I pull her to my lap. She is right above my erection and I feel like that creepy fake Santa asking grown women if they were good little girls. I kiss her cheek playing sweet, and then stand.
Now was not erection time.
“Let her stay here for a few days. She’ll be miserable without you. Give her like three days to stew, and for you to stew. Then show up all devastatingly handsome and sexy. Tell her you need to feed and can’t take another’s vein.” Tavern shrugged and smiled. “She’ll break.”
“How do you know? London is one stubborn woman.” Cash said with a smile that tells the world he’s in love.
Tavern shrugged again and looked at me. “It’s what I would do.”
The conversation was cut short when Cash stood and began coughing. His hands on his knees he continually tried to clear his throat, but only coughed more. Tavern looked at me scared, but I smiled.
“Show time?” I asked and he nodded.
“Bastian’s awake.” I said and took her hand as we followed Cash out of the room.

Preacher
Bastian is smashing everything he can get his hands on and roaring, though it sounds like a sad cry. I tell Tavern to wait for us outside because we don’t know what to expect. She does it without argument, but I see the annoyance in her eyes.
“Bastian. Calm!” Cash yells and Bas fell back on his ass, panting…wait.
“He’s breathing.” I say and keep my eyes on his chest as it heaves up and down.
Cash nodded, but didn’t break his stare with Bastian. “Bas, how ya feelin’ my man?” Cash asked and stepped closer. Bastian will only allow Cash to get close. If I try, he starts shaking and gets real pissed.
“Sick and hungry.” His voice is like sandpaper and I feel for the guy, even if he is a scary fucker right now.
“I’ll get ya some blood.” I said and rushed to the kitchen, ignoring everyone as I go. On my way back an idea comes into my mind and I walk over to Able. “You hear me yell and you send Cain in, off leash, feel me?” Cash may have the command to hold Bas back, but Cain was the only one able to fight him and stand a chance.
“Sure thing.” Able said. I can’t help but like these guys. Cain may be crass and Able a little arrogant, but they make up for it in loyalty.
“Any word from Leushus?” Able asked me quietly and I shake my head slightly. “Let us know when you do.” He said and pats my back in assurance.
I open the door and pause when I see that Bas is half phased and at a standstill.
I shut the door behind me and walk as close to Cash as Bas will let me get. “Here is blood and water.” I said and set them down on the dresser beside the bed. Bastian is still on two legs but he looks like the first evolution cave man, all hairy and hunched over. His snout was the prominent feature, almost fully grown and his teeth snapping at the bags of blood I brought. “You feed him from you yet?”
“Yeah, just a taste. When they wake, the blood of the Sire will wake up the vampire inside. You don’t need to give much, a few ounces maybe.”
I nod and find it weird we just carry on talking while our buddy Bas is half phased and confused as shit. “Bas, does it hurt when you breathe? Are your senses on alert?” Cash asked and leans his hip on the edge of the dresser.
The slurping of the bagged blood is all the sound in the room for a minute. “No, pretty much the same. It’s my instincts that are off.” He pronounced ‘instincts’ like ‘instincts’ because his teeth are tiny sharp daggers lining his jaws. His eyes were on me as he spoke, a sinister look on his face. I wasn’t getting a warm, fuzzy feeling from him.
Not wanting to scream ‘Now!’ like a scardey cat I folded my arms and pulled off my hat. Dog 101, appear calm and don’t show fear. “Like how?” I asked and he growls at me.
Oh fuck!
“Like the smell of you makes m
e want to kill you.”
“Whoa, Bastian.” Cash said, his voice stern as he commanded his newest vampire/dog. “You will watch your tone and your desire to eat anyone not an enemy.”
I almost laughed at his response. Almost. I was no fool.
“And the fact he smells of sex with my woman all over him is ok? I doubt you would feel the same if it was London on him and not Tavern.”
I swear to God, I could not believe he just said that. I wanted to defend me and my girl. I wanted to tell him he was bat shit crazy. The vampire inside of me was battling the urge to make it clear by blood and bone that Tavern was, and would always be mine. The man in me though, knew better than to kick a rabid dog.
He sounded scary as fuck, but his appearance was returning to normal. His snout almost gone, his fangs retracted. “I know you know how I feel, Preacher. I tried to bow down gracefully and let you have her but smelling her on you and knowing you love her… it has me so not fucking rational right now. My wolf knows I am not the one for her, but my vampire doesn’t give a shit. You need to get out of here and take Tavern with you.”
He was rational for the moment, and that was good. Talking about loving my girl as the wolf and loving her as the vampire, explaining they were separate, was making me crazy. “You and Tav talked last night, you remember right?”
He nodded and looked defeated and angry. Talk about alter egos. “I do, but it means nothing right now.”
“Preacher, why don’t you and Tav head out? Take her to a hotel and let her relax.”
“Are you fucking kidding me? I have Jezzi in the other room about to wake up.”
“Who is Jezzi?” Bas asks.
“Tavern’s friend from when she was in school. Jezzi was with her the night she was abducted. The Cado had her, and Angelo almost killed her. We turned you both last night.” I wanted to joke and say that made them twins, but knew it wasn’t the time.
