“Heath.”
“Yeah?”
“I’m a giant pain in the ass and I know it. Thank you for loving me enough to not leave.”
He smiles and takes a left out of the parking lot headed home. “Just remember those words next time I piss you off.”
“What words?”
He laughs and reaches over to pet Joe who’s sitting between us. “I love you, Willow.”
I swallow the huge lump in my throat. We’ve never said the words to one another, it was always just understood but hearing him say them moves something inside me and instead of the uncomfortable awkwardness I normally feel at professing my feelings, I feel the exact same way he does. He is my rock. He is my best friend. He is my brother.
“I love you too, Heath.”
~BOOK TWO COMING SOON~
Helen, thank you, thank you, thank you, you are so talented and I feel honored that you choose to be my friend. Thank you for loving me enough to stick around!
Tammy I haven’t found anybody else that watches and loves the same TV shows that I do. Thanks for the countless conversations about who’s going to live or why they did what they did and all the speculation of what’s to come. Thanks for believing in Willow and seeing her potential.
Betsy and Tina, thank you for answering all my silly questions. I try to make my stories as true to life as possible and with your help it is.
Michelle and Mia thank you for taking time out of your life to read Willow and give me feedback. I really appreciate it more than you know and it really helps that you both liked her and understand her complicated and chaotic life.
Thank you Bart, you’re my encourager and cheerleader, especially when I get ready to throw in the towel. I love you more, better, best.
God please bless this book and bless these words. Thank you for giving me the ability to make all these new friends and bring them to life.
