I touched it and sighed. “This looks so sexy on you.”

“Thanks, sugar. Are you ready for a romantic time in Paris?”

  “Definitely.”

My mom and dad came out and told us goodbye. My dad tried to go over every rule to me again, but thankfully my mom pulled him back and kissed my cheek.

I got this feeling in my gut as I got in the first SUV with Deklan, Aria, and Zane. This was the first trip out of state – out of the country – without a parent; just a group of my closest friends ready to have one heck of time in Paris together. I couldn’t help but do a small dance as I sat next to Deklan. He looked down at me and grinned.

“Ready, Miss Van Buren?” our driver asked.

I leaned more into Deklan’s side and sighed.

  “Yes, I’m ready.”

  The End.

  About the author

There isn’t much to say about myself. I’m 28 years old single mom with a vivacious 4 year old princess that keeps me on my toes daily. Writing has been a passion of mine since I was a sophomore in high school. From poetry to stories, I’ve always felt this spark inside me whenever I wrote out what was inside my mind.

I put writing on the back burner for years after I had my daughter, and became a certified nursing assistant to get by. It wasn’t until I started feeling a little lost in my life that I realized it was my writing I was missing.

My characters are all part of me, their voices demanding to be told. No, I’m not crazy because I have multiple people in my head telling me what to write. To me that’s how I know I was destined to be an author. And now that I’ve finally started bringing my books into the world, I don’t plan to ever stop.
