  Chapter 1

It was a warm sunny day. Anna walked down the street after work and smiled a little. Today was her birthday. She was going to buy herself a cupcake at the bakery and enjoy it while watching TV this evening.

Her mood was great. Everyone had been especially nice to her at work today. How often does that happen in New York City, she thought. She’d even gotten praised for the good work that she was doing.

She was almost at the bakery when a man in a suit stopped her and smiled at her in a very lured way.

He asked her directions, which she gave him, but she had a feeling that he wasn’t listening to her answers. He was looking at her breasts and not trying to hide that fact.

“Why can’t you show me the way?” he asked. His eyes roamed over her body. She was a sight, he thought. Long dark hair, the bluest of eyes set in a beautiful face, and a figure that was made for sin. He was picturing his hands on her breasts.

“I’m confident that you’ll find it without anymore help from me.” She smiled sweetly at him.

A couple of men behind him laughed. She hadn’t realized that they were together. They appeared to be his bodyguards. She tried to walk past them, but he reached out and took her by her arm.

“You do realize that I am talking to you, darling?” He gave her a charming smile. He was all brown: brown hair, deeply tanned skin and brown eyes. Even the suit he was wearing was a deep mahogany brown color. It matched his eyes.

He fit her stereotype of what a mafia man would look like. His suit was very expensive. He had a golden cross around his neck and Rolex on. She glanced down and saw his shoes. She guessed more than only his shoes were Italian.

Anna tried to walk past him, but he grabbed her arm. “Darling, tell me what your name is?” His hand trailed down her arm until they stopped at her fingers. He eyed her hand for a bit first one then the other. “You’re not married, you act like this is indecent. We can talk. Right, Vinnie? A single man like me can talk to a single girl like her? There is nothing wrong with that, is there?”

“That’s not a problem, boss.” Vinnie held up his watch and pointed at it. Anna felt relieved. They didn’t have any more time to play games with her.

“They can wait.” Antonio answered Vinnie. “I’m talking to … You still haven’t told me your name.” He looked into her eyes and smiled at her.

She tried to think of something to say that would allow her to be able to leave. The man was still holding her hand as if they were old friends. “I have no intention of telling you my name. Now if you’ll just let my hand go, I’ll be on my way.” She tried to pull it away from him.

“You see now that just isn’t polite. It’s people like you who give New Yorkers a bad name. Personally, I think New York is a wonderful city. What do you think, Enzo?”

“Wonderful city, just lovely.” Enzo agreed immediately.

“Do they have to agree even if you say the sky is black?” She put more effort into trying to pull her hand away from him.

Antonio laughed. “This one has spirit. I’d like to tame her.” He stepped in very closely to her and ran a finger down the side of her face. He watched tears pool in her eyes.

Antonio stared at her for a while, mesmerized by her for a moment. Then he brought her hand to his lips. He let his lips lightly brush over the back of her hand. “I’m very sorry, but I have to leave you now. We can continue later.” He let go of her hand and walked away from her.

Anna watched him go. How he ever thought that he would be able to find her again in this mess of people was a puzzle to her. She stared at his back as he walked away without even looking back at her.

She snorted and was about to continue on her way when Vinnie stepped in front of her. “If you will follow me, miss, I’ll escort you to your transportation.” He gave her a smile that told her that he was confident that she would follow him.

Her eyes darted around. Was no one witnessing this? There were lots of people out on the sidewalks, but none were paying attention to her. The wheels in her head were turning. “Please tell him that I respectfully decline, but that I already have a previous engagement.”

Vinnie’s eyes danced with delight. He was glad that his boss had found a little entertainment for this evening. He hadn’t seen Antonio smile in a long time. The last woman he had been with had been a fake, working for the government only trying to get information so she could report back and work her way up in ranks. This one could get him back on his feet. An evening with her, and then he could be concentrated tomorrow. “You can explain about your plans to him later.”

“I’m not going with you.” She gave him the strictest look she could pull together even though her heart was pumping so loudly.

“Lady, trust me, you are.” He gave her a smile that scared her. She tried to back away from him, but he caught her by her wrist and started pulling her to the curb. She screamed and tried to hit his hand, which was firmly locked around her wrist.

People were starting to stop and stare. Vinnie had a plan for that too. “Wait till I get you home, young lady. Your mother is livid already.” The people passing by even smirked as they passed by the spectacle.

Anna was so shocked that she was rendered speechless. Vinnie had her inside a darkened limousine within seconds. He tapped against the window that divided the front from the back, and the car started to roll. He took her purse and got out her cell phone, which he slipped into the front pocket of his shirt.

Vinnie watched the young woman next to him. Her mouth was hanging open, and she appeared to be dumbfounded. He liked that. This had been nice and easy. He could hand her over to his boss unscratched
.

The wheels were still turning in Anna’s head. She wanted out of here and fast. “Is this some kind of joke? Like a TV show or something?”

“Do as you are told, and then you can go home tomorrow. If you behave, you won’t get hurt.”

“You’re honestly and truly kidnapping me, so he can …” Anna closed her mouth and moved as far away from him as she could. She didn’t want to look at him or talk to him.

  Chapter 2

Anna cried quietly as she stared out of the window and watched people and bridges and trees go by as they drove on for hours. They had left the city and drove on into the country.

The car stopped, and Anna peeked over at Vinnie who had been reading the newspaper and sending off text messages. He looked straight ahead and didn’t meet her eye. In fact, he didn’t move at all. He seemed completely relaxed.

Did he do this often? After a few minutes, the limo started. Less than a minute later it stopped again. “Are you going to put up a fight?” Vinnie was reaching for her wrist.

Anna nodded, and Vinnie raised an eyebrow amused. He pulled her out of the limo and into a motel room even easier than he had gotten her into the limo this afternoon.

“You can take a shower if you want.” He searched the room, checking every corner. Then he removed the telephone and searched through drawers and in the bathroom. “He will be here in a couple of hours. Like I said, just do as he says, and you won’t get hurt. I’ve got someone at the door and at the window in the bathroom. Go on open the door.”

Anna stayed standing where she was.

  “I said open the door!”

Anna was still clutching her purse as she slowly went to the door and opened it. There was another man in a suit standing there. He gave her a quick glance and then turned back to keeping lookout.

Vinnie grabbed onto the door. He got out a screwdriver and removed the chain lock as she watched him wide-eyed. He gave her a quick nod and a devious smile before he left, closing the door behind him.

Anna put her purse down and got out a Swiss Army Knife she kept in there. After thinking about it for a moment, she hid the knife under one of the pillows on the bed.

Anna searched for something else to use as a weapon. She had old receipts and the normal useless crap that everyone had in their purse. She wrote on them, begging for help and threw them away in the trash. She got the cards out of her wallet and hid them around the room.

That was it. She had nothing else to defend herself with.

Anna went into the bathroom and washed her face and hands. She had removed her shoes before so she decided to wash her feet too.

She went back out to the bedroom and turned the light on by the bed. It was getting dark in the meantime.

She didn’t have anything to do so she got the bible out of the nightstand drawer and started reading in the cheap armchair by the lamp that she had turned on.

  Chapter 3

That was how Antonio found her. She was calming reading the bible as he came in.

“Are you a nun?” he asked.

His voice made Anna jump. She put her finger in the page that she was reading and glared at him. “Would you let me go if I said yes?”

“I’d test your knowledge of the Catholic Church, and if you could prove that you are a nun, then yes I would let you go. If I found out you lied to me, I would punish you. So I’ll repeat my question, are you a nun?”

  “Unfortunately, no,” she admitted sadly.

He laughed. He didn’t remember her being this cute. “Come here, darling.” He smiled at her and reached out to her.

She frowned and shook her head. She didn’t want him to hurt her.

“Darling, this is going to happen. If you don’t fight me, it will be better for you.”

“That’s not true.” She drew her feet up from the floor. Her knees were tucked in closely to her chest, and she wrapped her arms around her legs and laid her head on her knees. She was crying softly in the corner of the room.

He let her be and hunted around for her purse. He couldn’t find it anywhere.

“Where’s your purse?” he asked her.

  She ignored him.

He went over to her and gave her a shake. “Where is your purse?”

She peeked up at him with tear filled eyes. She was too scared to talk.

“I want your purse. I want to know your name and how old you are now!” He continued to shake her.

“It’s …” She swallowed as she stared at him. “It’s under my chair.”

Antonio looked and saw her purse hidden in the corner behind her chair. He leaned over her and yanked it out. He sat down on the bed and rummaged through it, and then he fished her wallet out.

Anna had hidden cards all over the room. She wanted the police to find her, or at least to know that she had been here.

Antonio didn’t find anything of interest so he eyed her, wondering what was going on.

He decided to open a couple of drawers and feel around in them. He was turning up all kinds of cards.

Antonio turned to Anna and glared at her for a moment before he began to move furniture and find even more of them. He still hadn’t found her driver’s license.

“Get up. I’m sick of this Easter egg hunt. I want you to get out everything that you hid, now.” His forehead wrinkled when he scolded her like that.

“Or else what, you’ll force yourself on me?” She kept her head turned away from him.

He stepped over to her and picked her up off the chair and gave her another shake. “Do you know what I do with young ladies who don’t obey me?”

  Anna shook her head.

“I lay them over my knee, bare their bottom and give them a long hard spanking as they squirm and beg me to stop,” he whispered into her ear.

Anna felt a gush of wetness gathering between her legs. How could she be reacting to him like that? He was a disgusting person who kidnapped her and was forcing her to stay in this shady motel with him.

The truth was that she liked to think about spankings. A playful smack or two would be sexy and fun, but what he described sounded like torture. How could that turn her on?

Antonio released one of her arms and let his hand glide down along her body. He firmly grabbed onto her soft hind cheeks, making her swoon. Then he gave her a sharp smack that made her jump. “Get out the things you hid,” he whispered again.

There was something about the way he whispered. It made her obey him. If he had yelled at her, she would have argued with him and refused to listen to him, but his voice made her obey him.

She got cards out from behind pictures and out of the bathroom. She laid them on the dresser on top of the ones he had already found. It was quite a pile.

“It’s ridiculous how many cards a person gets nowadays,” she said nervously, trying to make light of the situation, but a pile of around fifteen cards laid on the dresser.

He grabbed her forearm and squeezed it tightly. “Where’s your drivers license?”

“I don’t have one. I can’t drive.” She turned her head away from him so she didn’t have to look into his mahogany-colored eyes.

He squeezed harder and shook her again. “Anna, get it out.” He had seen her name on the cards, so he finally knew what her name was.

“I can’t. I honestly don’t have one.” She kept her head hung and turned away from him.

“Look me in the eyes and tell me that,” Antonio demanded.

She was already shaking, but she pulled the courage together to look him in the eyes and lie to him.

He was so sure that she’d been lying, but now he wasn’t so sure.

“I can see that you’re scared. You don’t have to be. We will have a little fun together, and afterwards I will give you five thousand dollars. Cash. That means no taxes. All you have to do is sleep with me. I’m good in bed, so this is easy money.”

Anna shook her head. Who in their right mind would kidnap a woman off the street and offer her money for sex.

“There are women who do that sort of thing professionally. Maybe you should contact one of them instead,” she suggested.

“I saw you and liked you.”

“That isn’t how this world works.” Was he a caveman to think that she would go along with something like that?

“Take your clothes off, Anna. Consider yourself warned, either you give willingly, or I take. Have I made myself clear?” He still held her tightly by her arm. He had to shake her to get her to answer, but she finally nodded, dumbfounded.

Antonio let go of her, and she turned away from him. He removed his jacket and tugged his shirt out of his trousers. She still hadn’t moved.

“Stubbornness will only get you hurt. Get going.” He sat down and removed his shoes and socks. She remained where she was standing. “Baby, if you’re good, I’ll make this pleasurable for you too.” He grabbed onto her breasts as he stood behind her. He played with them through the fabric of her blouse and bra, making her nipples harden.

Anna stared in disbelief at her nipples. Those traitors, how could they like what he was doing. Didn’t they understand that she had been kidnapped?

Anna sobbed. She’d never been with a man before. She had wanted to save herself.

Anna was new to New York. At heart, she was a small town girl who went to church every Sunday, and she believed the pastor when he said you should wait for sex until they were married. Now she wished that she had given in to her boyfriend at college. He had wanted to have sex so much that he broke up with her because she wouldn’t sleep with him. If only she had, then this wouldn’t be so bad. That would have been better than losing her virginity to some mafia guy who would probably expect her to have some idea what she was doing. He was probably going to kill her anyway.

Antonio ripped opened the buttons on her blouse, making them fly around the room. He yanked her blouse out of her suit pants. She grabbed her clothes back to her before he could take it off and with it her suit jacket too. She already felt so naked with her front open.
