The sex is perfect. Chad fucks Evan’s pliant body hard, Peter’s gaze burning into the back of his neck, coming with a grunt and filling the boy up with his load and plugging him tight with his knot. All thoughts of Evan having come across his internet browsing history have left his mind, everything light, hazy and problem free.
He should have known better…
***
Peter is woken by the sound of distressed whimpers, wondering what the hell is going on. He looks down at his new omega, the boy cradled safely under his arm, Chad’s leg thrown over his hips, and is surprised to see the omega’s face scrunched up in distress.
Chad is sleeping peacefully, his handsome young face relaxed and happy. Not wanting to wake his young partner, Peter gently pushes his leg off Evan’s body and scoops the omega up in his arms, carrying him out of the room.
“What..?” Evan asks, waking up and blinking up at Peter with a confused expression. Peter lifts him up and kisses his forehead, not answering until he’s closed the door behind him.
“You were having a nightmare,” he says, carrying Evan to the kitchen and setting him down in one of the chairs behind the island bar. Evan frowns, looking down at the counter with hunched shoulders.
“I’m sorry,” he says, voice small. Peter wants to growl at him to shut up and stop being so stupid all the time, but he holds his tongue and tries to smile gently. It’s not Evan’s fault he’s been raised to be submissive and unobtrusive. It’s going to take patience and a gentle had for him to come into his own, and Peter is determined to stick it out. He hasn’t snapped or lashed out so far, and it’s only getting easier.
“Don’t be silly,” he says, going to the sink and filling a glass of water. He sets it on the counter in front of the omega. “Why don’t you tell me about it.”
Evan looks up at him, doing that thing where he keeps his gaze low but still catches everything. Omegas are watchful, Peter has discovered.
“It was silly,” he says, avoiding an answer. Peter frowns. Should he put the boy under and get him to answer that way? It would be a use of force, but Peter needs to know if something is bothering Evan. Needs to know what’s going on with him so that he can protect him.
It’s weird, he thinks, how attached he’s getting to the barely adult omega. They have nothing in common whatsoever, and Peter since Peter does not find weakness or natural submission attractive, he had not expected to be particularly interested in the boy. But he is. Despite his preference for other alphas, he is an alpha, and the instinct to protect, care for and fuck the omega who has come to be in his den is still very much present.
It’s a surprise, to say the least.
But Evan has a strength to him. A calculated way of looking at the world that Pete knows Chad hasn’t noticed, but that he finds strangely attractive. Chad still seems to think that Evan is simple, like a child, when it is clear as day that he isn’t.
Pulling up to his full height, Peter lets his smile slip off his face. He is Evan’s alpha and he will be obeyed.
“Let me rephrase that,” he says, keeping his voice just off the edge of hard. “Tell me about your nightmare.”
Evan looks down, clearly wanting to disobey. Peter grabs him by the neck, squeezing down firmly. Evan goes limp under his hand, none of the initial resistance that he’d feel and relish if he were pulling this trick on Chad.
He might be getting attached to Evan, but if it were just the two of them Peter would be bored out of his mind. He needs a partner that will try to buck him when he gets on his back. A wild stallion, rather than a tame pony.
But while Evan would bore him with the ease of his submission, he has slotted into Peter’s life without a hitch. And by God Peter will make sure he’s happy.
“I was just… I was dreaming that I went somewhere else,” Evan says, voice small. Peter frowns. He knows just how bad it can get for omegas, but he was under the impression that the omegas at the center were sheltered from that kind of knowledge. That they were untroubled with the realities of the world. Then again, thinking that might have been naive.
Peter gives Evan’s neck a firm squeeze, shaking his head gently before letting go. He wraps his arms around Evan’s chest and lifts him up, walking to the living room. Evan doesn’t protest, and when Peter settles the boy in his lap, back draped over Peter’s wide chest he relaxes back into Peter’s embrace like it’s the safest place in the world.
“Tell me about your dream, Evan,” he says, rubbing his hand over the boy’s chest. Evan tenses at the question.
“Evan…” Peter warns, hand stilling and pressing lightly down. Evan breathes in deeply, chest pushing against Peter’s hand.
“I dreamed that I ended up in an omega porn studio… I just… I know I’m very lucky.”
Peter sighs. Having never had any interest in watching omegas get fucked, he’s never gravitated towards that kind of porn. When, on the rare occasion he’s wanted to watch something he could jerk off to, he seeks out porn featuring alphas. Battles for dominance where each partner gives it their all and the loser gets mounted and knotted. Chad, on the other hand…
Chad’s computer. Peter wants to groan, but he holds it in. Evan must have seen something that upset him.
Peter is going to wring Chad’s fucking neck…
“Did you see something that made you think about this?” Peter asks, Evan freezing.
“I…” he doesn’t answer, breathing fast.
“I’m not mad if you did,” Peter says, reassuring him. “I just want to know if you saw something that upset you.”
Evan is quiet for a minute, his body tense as Peter rubs his chest and belly, one arm slung across his waist and pulling him in tight.
“I typed in the address for the school website in the address bar, and it suggested a porn site and I looked at it.”
Peter is about to speak, to reassure him that it’s OK and let him know in no uncertain terms that he will never end up in that situation when Evan keeps talking.
“I knew one of them. Joshua. He was at the center with me.”
Peter doesn’t know what to say. “Oh. What did you think about that?” he asks. He hopes Joshua wasn’t a good friend.
“I was glad it wasn’t me,” Evan says, voice tinged with horror. “I’m a horrible person.”
“No you’re not. It was a scary reminder of what could have happened, if you hadn’t ended up with me and Chad. It’s OK to feel shaken and relieved.”
“Why does Chad…” Evan is quiet for a minute, Peter rubbing his chest in soothing circles. “Why does Chad look at websites like that? Doesn’t he care that…?” Evan doesn’t finish his question, but Peter knows what he means.
“It’s not that he doesn’t care. He just doesn’t think. I’ll have a talk with him about it, OK?”
Evan nods, relaxing back into Peter’s chest without saying anything else. After a while Peter asks him, “Do you want to go back to bed?”
“OK,” Evan says, blinking and opening his eyes. It seems he’d almost gone back to sleep, but Peter needs to lie down to get some shut eye. “That sounds good.”
Peter carries him back to the bedroom, Chad pulling Evan into his body the minute the omega is back in the bed, not waking up. Peter slips under the covers, wrapping an arm over both Evan and Chad, holding them tight.
After a few minutes of listening to Evan and Chad breathing deeply, he goes to sleep.
He’ll talk to Chad in the morning.
To be continued….
