“I’m talking about the boat…” Ron shakes his head frustrated. “I give you a lot of credit for putting up with her sometimes.”
“I’m going to go wait by the truck… I see how much I’m wanted around here. And don’t worry he’ll have your other baby home by eleven,” she huffs dramatically, and strides over to the truck.
Ron shakes his head as his daughter moves to lean against the truck, and slips on her sunglasses.
“She’s really on today, isn’t she?”
“Yeah,” I mumble.
“What happened?” he asks me seriously.
In the almost year I’ve been with Vi, I learned she covers up her hurt, by making smart jokes. Right now, she’s really affected by the fight with her mother. When I came to pick her up today, they were still yelling at each other, and she got into my car crying. She’s been doing her best to cheer up, but in the process, she becomes a smart ass.
“Our mothers. Amber didn’t want her coming here with me; they had a huge fight. Then my mother didn’t want me coming here either. It’s just getting old.”
Ron knows the score with his crazy ex-wife. Violet calls him all the time complaining.
“I don’t understand. I tried talking to Amber, but I think I would’ve gotten more response from a brick wall.” He stares at his daughter who is kicking around a couple of stones, and shakes his head. “How did you finally convince them?”
“My mom caved, and Violet just hopped in my car mid-fight. I’m just glad I got my driver's license on my birthday and my grandfather gave me the car. Makes for easier escapes.”
My mother protested me getting a car, knowing it was going to make it easier for me escape and see Vi. But when my grandfather handed me the keys to a Dodge Ram, there was no going back. My grandfather loves Violet and supports my music. The truck is perfect for hauling equipment, so I knew he was sticking it to them as much as I was.
“They need to let you guys just live your lives. You make her happy, and treat her well, that makes you okay in my book.”
“Thank—” He holds up his finger to stop me from finishing.
“But if you hurt the boat, you have another thing coming to you,” he says gruffly and crosses his arms.
It’s easy to see where Violet gets her smart mouth from.
“Thank you for this, Ron,” I tell him sincerely.
“And I expect at least one fish to be caught,” he adds, narrowing his eyes at me. “I’m not asking for a lot.”
Is that code for ‘don’t spend all your time screwing my daughter?’ I’m not sure.
“Yes, sir.”
The wind whips our hair around as we cruise out into the ocean. It’s about ninety but the ocean breeze keeps the air cool. The sky is blue and there’s not a single cloud in the sky, making today the perfect day to be out on the water.
Mission Bay is great for zipping around and has a channel leading out into the ocean; the first place I want to give the Yamaha Jet Boat a test run; crashing over waves at 30 knots and letting the water splash on our faces. Next time we’ll have to bring the jet skis.
Once we finish whizzing around the Pacific, we take a break, anchoring in the middle of the bay. There aren’t many boats around. Violet throws off her lifejacket and pulls off her shorts and shirt. Her strawberry hair whips in the wind, making her look like an angel in a pink bikini. A very tiny, pink bikini. The little triangles she’s trying to pass off as a top barely cover her nipples, and the bottoms are really a thong, her perfect ass almost fully exposed.
“What are you wearing?” I gulp at the scorching temptress standing in front of me. My dick turns to granite and I think I might be drooling a bit. My eyes dart around the open water, not wanting anyone else to see her like this. She’s mine.
“Don’t you like it?” She spins around giving me a 360 view of her. “I bought it just for today.”
“I hope so. I’ll be very mad if you parade around in this for anyone else.” I reach out grabbing her hand, yanking her down to straddle my lap. “Do you feel what you do to me, baby?” I thrust my hardened dick into her and she wiggles her hips in reply.
“Mmm, I do…” she moans, pushing her hands through my wind-blown hair.
My hand comes down sharply on her bare ass, making a loud whack. She yelps and pulls on my hair in reply. “What was that for?”
“Teasing me.”
“Me? I would never do that.” Placing her hand on her chest, she scoffs pretending to look shocked. She pushes away from me and moves out of my lap.
“Where are you going?”
“I need to cool down…” She hops over the seats to the swim platform and jumps into the water.
I thought we were going to fuck.
I climb over and stand on the platform, watching her float around. Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky to find her. Before I started my freshman year, I thought my high school years would be filled with countless girls dying to fuck the lead singer of a band. Well, I had girls after me, but none of them caught my attention, none I ever wanted, ‘till I saw her. The fantasy of endless women went out the window, and she was all I saw. She’s the only one I ever want to be with. The sex with her is on fire and I don’t think anyone would compare. Nor do I want to find out.
She’s my Ace of hearts.
“The water is perfect, Cooper. Aren’t you going to join me?” she calls to me.
I waste no time and jump in the water to join her.
We swim around for a while, and Vi keeps trying to dunk me under the water any chance she gets. After about the seventh failed attempt, I allow myself to go under. But as I come back up, I grab her legs, lifting her above the water before tossing her back in. When she comes back up, she comes back after me, laughing her gorgeous head off.
I’m glad after the fight with her mom this morning, she’s back to her normal self. I was worried it wouldn’t happen.
I come across a sandbar by a tiny island and figure this spot could be perfect for a little fun. There’s no one around us, and I can stand perfectly here.
“Come here.” I wave Violet over. She looks smug, I’m sure reading the expression on my face. She swims over and wraps her arms around my neck. “Want to have some fun?”
She nods vigorously. “Is that really a question?”
“You do know if we’re caught we are going to be in so much trouble,” I whisper against her lips.
“It would be worth it.”
Her legs wrap around my waist, and the cool water covers my shoulders. Hopefully it only looks like we're cuddling to any passersby. Pushing the tiny fabric from between her legs aside, I slowly ease my way inside her silky center. Her lower lip is trapped between her teeth, keeping herself from moaning loudly, as I fill her completely. There’s no better feeling in the world than being encased inside her warmth.
My lips mesh with hers as I rock gently into her, not wanting to cause a lot of splashing or waves. Her walls clamp around my dick, sucking me deeper into her. She does it again and again, each time tighter and pulling me in further. Hell, I think I’ll bust a nut just like this.
“You feel so good, Vi. So fucking good. Squeeze my dick again, baby,” I groan, and she does it again.
With her head tilted back, I latch my lips to suck the salty skin of her neck. She’s moaning like crazy, no longer caring who hears us.
“Oh, Coop, I’m so close…” Her fingers push through my scalp and her eyes glaze over.
I love watching her unravel and she’s right there.
“Look at me!” I demand.
Her eyes instantly land on mine. Her lips are parted, releasing heavy pants, ready to fall apart in my arms. She’s so fucking sexy when she’s about to come. I don’t know what it is, but something about her changes—maybe it’s her flushed skin or the darkening of her blue eyes, but whatever it is, this look is special. Mine. Only I make her look and feel this way.
Gripping her juicy ass in my hands, I slam her down on my dick, hard, and her bod
y convulses with her orgasm. She’s whimpering and her pussy is gripping my dick so tight, I’m seconds away from bursting. With one final thrust, I come deep inside her, calling her name to everyone on Mission Bay.
Her body sags and her head falls to my shoulder as we both catch our breath.
“Will it always be like this?” she coos.
“I hope so, Ace.”
She pulls back and looks at me inquisitively. “Ace?”
I grin. “Yeah. You're my number one girl and you have my heart.”
Her cheeks flush a dark pink. “That’s so sweet,” she whispers, resting her head on mine, kissing the side of my neck.
“Wait until you hear the song.” I wink, causing her to giggle.
“I get a song too? You spoil me, you know.”
“Always. Now, let’s get back on the boat and have some lunch. I just worked up an appetite.”
It’s a little after ten when we pull into Ron’s driveway. We spent the rest of the day swimming, and me writing a new song for my girl…which ended with me getting laid again.
We get into the house and Ron is standing in the kitchen, with a Miller Lite in his hand, dressed in plaid sweats and a blue undershirt, no doubt waiting up for us. I place the cooler down on the kitchen table.
“There’s not a single scratch on me or the boat, daddy.” Violet hands her dad back the keys. “Thank you for letting him take me out.” She gives her dad a hug and kisses his cheek before going to the fridge for a drink.
“You’re welcome, sweetie. I’m glad you had fun.” He moves to the cooler and opens it, then looks between the both of us.
“So, where’s my fish?”
Oops…

Cooper
A flock of seagulls’ squall overhead as Violet and I walk through Marina Del Rey marina to my boat. I've been nervous, wondering if she'll like the surprise I'm about to show her.
“Which one is it?” she asks, gripping my hand as we pass a long row of docked ships.
“It’s the one straight ahead.” I point out to the short distance ahead of us, where my boat bobs alone in the water, at the end of the rows.
“Wow, Cooper it’s beautiful.” Violet ooh's and ahh’s at my shiny white catamaran. It’s an Antares 44i, a 44-foot yacht with all the bells and whistles. It’s the perfect boat for long distance cruising. I bought it last summer and haven't had much time between tours to use it. Once we make it to the dock, she stops, looking wide-eyed at the name I gave the vessel.
“Ace of Hearts”
“You named your boat after me?” she gasps, gaping at the gold script on the stern.
“If I gave it your first name, I would’ve appeared extra obsessed with you,” She spins to look at me with her mouth still hanging open. “Do you like it? Because this boat is yours now...I want you to be happy with the name.”
“I—” She turns back to the boat, then back to me. “I love it. It's just I’m still getting used to everything. I mean just the fact you could afford to buy this.” She waves her hand to the boat. “Do you get out much?”
“I don’t get to use it as much, but it’s nice to be able to tell my dad he’ll only be able to drive it in his dreams.”
“That’s mean. I’m actually liking your dad now. So, it’s time to forgive. You wouldn’t let our child do it either at sixteen.”
A smile splits across my face when she mentions children without paling. I know the hurt from losing our baby all those years ago still affects her. It gnaws away at me every time I think about it as well, and I always think of the life we could have had with our potential son or daughter. But I also want to try again, and I know I’m going to have to figure out how to ask soon.
“You’re probably right.” I kiss her cheek and grab her hand to help her climb aboard.
“This is so much better than the boat my dad had. It finally saw its last days. This time around he bought a simple fishing boat.”
“Hey, we had some good times on that little boat.”
“We sure did,” she hums as she kisses my lips. “Remember how upset he was when we didn’t bring him home a fish that one time?”
I laugh, remembering how disappointed he was when we didn’t catch him his next night’s dinner. He ended up taking us out the next day, saying we weren’t going anywhere ‘till we caught one. Though, it was supposed to be a ‘punishment’ we ended up waterskiing the whole time instead. The man drove the boat like a maniac.
No fish were caught that day either.
“I totally forgot about it because someone distracted me with the scraps of bathing suit they were wearing.”
“You should see the one I have on today.” Her hands run up my chest and around my neck. “I’ll give you a hint, it’s purple.”
“Well, if you’re going to torture me, wait ‘till we're out to sea. I don’t need anyone getting a picture of me fucking you on the port.”
Her face turns white and her eyes dart around the marina nervously. “I thought you said no one knows we would be here.”
“They don’t. Only Brody and Collin know my route, but that doesn’t mean people won’t get lucky. Don’t worry your pretty little head about it. Now come, you can help me set up the sail.”
We spend the next hours sailing down the coast, finally anchoring outside Long Beach for the afternoon. I forgot how much I enjoy coming out into the water. It’s freeing with the sea breeze in your face, the smell of the salty air, and no one to bother you for miles.
Peace.
My wife’s arms slip around my waist and she places a kiss on the center of my back. “This is nice. It’s been a long time since I went out on the water.” I spin around and hold her in my arms, admiring her.
She’s pulled her cover off and stands before me in a purple bikini. It’s not as tiny as the pink one she had which is ingrained in my memory forever, but it’s close enough. No matter what she wears she looks amazing.
Her hand reaches out for my hip, her thumb tracing over my tattoo of her name. “I can’t tell you how horny this makes me every time I see it. Especially with your board shorts hanging down like this…” She hisses through her teeth. “This fucking ‘v’ shape you have…” A lustful glint dances in her eyes as her hand travels to the top of my shorts, working their way in.
“Are you wet?”
“Very,” she purrs, licking her lips.
My fingers lace through her wind-blown hair and I pull her roughly to my body. My lips latch to the side of her neck and I suck, hard, wanting to leave my mark. Her skin tastes of the sea air and coconuts.
She’s a fucking tropical paradise.
Her little moans and groans are driving me wild, my cock is dying to escape its confines and dive into her.
“Coop,” she says my name like a prayer, clawing her nails into any available skin.
“Yeah baby,” I slip my hand into her bikini bottoms, grabbing a hold of her bare ass, and pull her harder into my aching dick. I can feel how soaked she is through my shorts.
“I want—” she murmurs against my lips. In the distance, there’s the sound of an incoming boat motor. I’m not too worried about the approaching noise because they’ll just drive by. Though it’s enough to grab Vi’s attention and she pulls away from me. Her head snaps to the left at the engine idling from the boat now sits beside us.
“Fuck,” I hiss and yank my hand out of Violet’s bottoms.
On the boat are two men in jeans, with cameras attached to their faces, clicking away at us. I don’t think I’ve ever gone soft so quickly.
How did these mother fuckers find us?
“Is this your honeymoon?” One of them has the nerve to call out while they continue to click away. “What was the real reason for your quick nuptials? Are you pregnant?”
I grab Violet’s hand and move her towards the cabin.
“Come on Cooper, we came for the show…” the asshole yells as I fling the door open and flip him off.
“I th
ought you said nobody knew we were here.” Violet wraps her arms around herself and sits down. She’s shaking, her eyes darting all around the cabin, and I know she has to be frightened.
We’ve had our run-in with paparazzi this last week, but this is the kicker. We were supposed to be safe out here. This was supposed be our time alone and these motherfuckers went and ruined it all.
Follow me to the fucking store, but god-damn it.
“FUCK!” I roar, frustrated as hell, ready to rip my hair out. “Can’t I ever just get a moment of peace?”
“How do you think they found us?” she whispers, her body still trembling. I grab a blanket from the lounger and wrap it around her shoulders.
“I don’t know. Are you okay, though?” I kneel in front of her, taking her hand in mine.
She nods, and a small giggle suddenly leaves her lips. “Yeah, good thing they came when they did. Another minute, you would have hoisted me in the captain's chair and had your way with me.”
“Or bent over it,” I interject, taking the moment to find the humor in it.
“I wouldn’t have minded.” She smirks. “But if there’s going to be a sex tape, I’d rather have the creative control than those two doofuses outside. No way he would’ve gotten my good side.”
I shake my head and kiss her nose. “All your sides are good, Ace.”
Her smirk falls from her face and she wraps the blanket around her tighter. “What do we do now?” she whispers, all humor gone from her voice.
“I don’t know.” I stand and grab the satellite phone located on the counter.
Once booted up, I call Collin. He’s going to have to meet us back at the docks and take us somewhere else. There’s no way we can stay here tonight.
“Cooper?” he answers, surprised after the second ring. “Is everything alright?”
“The paps found us. Any idea how that could’ve happened?”
“Are you fucking kidding me?” he growls and cusses a couple times. I hear him radio Tucker in the background. “My guess is they either followed you or someone said your boat was missing from the Harbor. I’ll call Louie and see if he and his team can figure out the leak.”
