Rachel smiled kindly to Emma. “Thank you.” She looked like she was going to refuse the food, but Emma’s face turned stern, and Rachel simply said, “Thank you,” again and took a bite.
Emma beamed at her as if she’d just won the grand prize.
Emma’s gaze turned to Anna. “I hear you moved your bookstore to town.”
Anna nodded. “I did, Emma. Logan and Derek hired some movers and oversaw the move last week. We are about ready to open.”
Emma clapped her hands. “I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. We need a good old-fashioned bookstore here.”
“You’re going to have it. If all the people that are excited about it become regular customers, I may have a bigger business here than I did in Tennessee.”
“Of course you will, dear. You’re lycan now, and we always support one another.”
Anna knew that to be true. From the moment she moved here, she’d never felt out of place or unwelcome. The pack had treated her as if she was one of them, and according to her mates, she was. In her lycans embrace, she’d found her forever home.
