Trickle Up Poverty: Stopping Obama’s Attack on Our Borders, Economy, and Security Page 36

by Michael Savage

This explains something: when radical Muslims, based upon the teachings of the Qur’an, threaten and attack us, they are ignored. And yet Obama’s Homeland Insecurity Department is quick to arrest and level charges of sedition against a fringe, rag-tag “Christian” militia who are misrepresenting, at best, the teachings of the Bible.71 Need I point out that the central message of Christianity includes these words of Jesus: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God” (Matthew 5:9).

Let’s contrast those words with the teachings of Islam in the Qur’an: “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war” (Qur’an 9:5). Or how about this one: “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who reject Me. So strike off their heads and cut off their fingers. All who oppose Me and My Prophet shall be punished severely” (Ishaq: 322).72

What could be more clear? Obama is declaring war on the wrong religion.

  Obama’s Jihad on Jihad

Of course, such hatred for America exhibited by the Underwear Bomber and Major Hasan among others is consistent with what we know of militant Islam. Rather than acknowledge that we’re at war with Islamo-fascism, and that the Fort Hood massacre was the most recent effort to kill the American infidel in the name of Allah, Big Sis, taking her marching orders from the Commander in Chief, has called for a jihad on the use of the word jihad! In an effort to make nice with Muslim countries, she doesn’t want the government to mention any words such as “jihad” or “Islamic extremism.”

In April, 2010, the Obama administration deleted those words from the U.S. National Security Strategy guidelines. Are we fighting a war on terror or not? If we are, then why aren’t we allowed to name the enemy? Why is Homeland Insecurity more concerned about not offending Muslims than they are defending Americans? We don’t need a public-relations stunt. At least one Senator called such verbal gymnastics nonsense. Here’s what Joe Lieberman said:

We’re in a war not with some nebulous group of violent extremists. We’re not in a war with environmental extremists or white extremists. We’re in a war with violent Islamist extremists and terrorists. The people who attacked us on 9/11 were not just violent and extreme, they were motivated by an ideology of Islamist extremism which took the religion of Islam and essentially transformed it into a radical political ideology.

And if we don’t call it what it is, first off we’re violating the first rule of war, know your enemy. Secondly, how do you defeat your enemy unless you describe it as what it is? And third, in many ways this is an ideological conflict between one set of values and this violent Islamist extremist ideology. Most people in the Muslim world reject this ideology. But if we don’t say there’s a difference between most Muslims in the world and the violent Islamist extremists and terrorists, I think we’re disrespecting most of the Muslims.73

An editorial in the Washington Times rightly points out both the deeper issue and the danger here, saying, “the National Security Strategy is not some kind of outreach initiative, it is the framing document for America’s global safety. The United States cannot effectively combat the root causes of Islamic extremism by ignoring them. Such sanitizing may please the White House, but it’s likely to put the United States in more danger as threats that should have been detected in advance slip by because officials have been trained not to look for them.”74 Which probably explains why the 2009 Homeland Security glossary of domestic “extremist” groups omitted any Muslim groups but listed both Jewish and Christian organizations as potential threats.

Once again, they’re focusing on the wrong religions.

We’ve been told by the government that sleeper cells are here. We’ve known this fact for years. Back in 2004, the FBI estimated there were al-Qaeda sleeper cells in upwards of forty states.75 Let me ask you something: Where are these operatives congregating? Where would Muslim terrorists gather to exchange information and resources? Would they gather in the synagogues, churches, or mosques? It’s not such a difficult question if you use common sense. So, where do you put your FBI agents to ferret out the vermin?

  Synagogue, churches, or mosques?

But, in light of the appeasement strategy of the Obama administration, Big Sis won’t do that. Because of her inaction to target the real enemies of America, the enemy is laughing at us. They’re laughing at us from within the mosques here because we have college girls running America.

  Worse Than Chamberlain

The world is mocking and taking advantage of President Obama’s weakness. The world is laughing and exploiting President Obama’s naiveté. Listen to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Hitler of Iran in elevator shoes, who flat out called Barack Obama an amateur: “Mr. Obama, you are a newcomer [to politics]. Wait until your sweat dries and get some experience.”76 Obama has traveled the world, bowing to world leaders—a number of which are communist despots. With the START treaty, he has signed away the power of the United States of America without getting anything in return. He wants to dismantle NASA, giving Russia the advantage in space. This man is weakening what was once the greatest superpower the world has ever seen at every turn. Frankly, I’m not surprised.

Obama views America’s role as a superpower with contempt. He sees our military might as a burden. Look at what he said during the closing session of a two-day nuclear security summit: “It is a vital national security interest of the United States to reduce these conflicts because whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower …”77

Pause right there. Whether we like it or not?

What are we to make of that comment?

What kind of Commander in Chief and leader of the free world would say such a thing? Would Obama be happier if America wasn’t a dominant superpower? Evidently that is his position. With regard to the downside of intervening in conflicts around the world, Obama went on to say, “… and when conflicts break out, one way or another we get pulled into them and that ends up costing us significantly in terms of both blood and treasure.”78

Since when is President Obama concerned about the cost of anything?

In his first eighteen months in office, he raised our national debt higher than President Bush did after an eight-year spending spree.79 Obama’s federal budget has spilled more red ink than any president in modern history. Every economist knows Obama’s reckless spending is unsustainable. No, his fretting over military actions that will end up “costing us significantly” in “treasure” isn’t about trimming the budget. Nor can he be sincere about the loss of “blood” by our soldiers. If he were, he’d scrap the politically correct rules of engagement, which are killing our troops.

The fact is that President Obama hasn’t the first clue why America must remain strong. By contrast, in 1984, his predecessor, President Ronald Reagan, said, “There are some who’ve forgotten why we have a military. It’s not to promote war; it’s to be prepared for peace.”80 Reagan knew the value and responsibilities associated with being the world’s last remaining superpower. Reagan never apologized for the role America plays to protect our national security interests both at home and abroad. Thanks to Reagan’s commitment to a strong military and his hard line “peace through strength” leadership in world affairs, we watched the Berlin Wall crumble and an end to the Cold War.

While I disagree with John McCain on many things, he had the right response to Obama’s lunacy: “That’s one of the more incredible statements I’ve ever heard a president of the United States make in modern times,” said McCain. “We are the dominant superpower, and we’re the greatest force for good in the history of this country, and I thank God every day that we are a dominant superpower.”81

John McCain’s outrage is echoed in this “open letter” written by an ex-Navy survivor of World War II, the now ninety-five-year-old Harold B. Estes. This senior patriot, incensed over the disgraceful behavior of the Commander in Chief, addressed his letter to President Barack Obama, Representa
tive F. Allen Boyd, Senator Bill Nelson, and Senator George LeMieux. See if his words don’t resonate with you:

  Dear President Obama,

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos’n Mate. Now I live in a “rest home” located on the western end of Pearl Harbor, allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man. So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

Pause there for a moment. Wouldn’t America be a different country if our leaders spoke with such candor? Wouldn’t it be a refreshing change of pace if our congressmen and women had, like Harold, the guts to stand up to this president, speak the truth, and let the chips fall where they may? He continues:

I can’t figure out what country you are the president of. You fly around the world telling our friends & enemies despicable lies like:

“We’re no longer a Christian nation.” “America is arrogant.” (Your wife even announced to the world, “America is mean-spirited.” Please tell her to try preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.)

I’d say shame on the both of you, but I don’t think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said, “America hasn’t lived up to her ideals.”

Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn’t mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

You can almost feel the heat and passion leap off of the page as Harold exoriates this president. But this ex-Navy man isn’t finished speaking his mind. There’s much more fire where that came from. Harold writes: Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.

Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don’t, I’ll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue. You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don’t want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts, who was

putting up a fight? You don’t mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don’t want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

Of course, one of the reasons why Obama is soft on terrorism is because he never had to serve in the military. He never faced the barrel of a gun or the heat of battle. He never put his life on the line to defend America. Harold has a few choice words for Obama on that score. He writes:

You’re the Commander in Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you’re not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you’re thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president. You’re not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That’s not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now. And I sure as hell don’t want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle.

  Sincerely,

  Harold B. Estes82

America needs more leaders with his spunk, courage, and patriotism.

In a way, these actions of Obama are just history repeating itself.

The leaders of Great Britain in the 1920s and 1930s did the same thing. They bowed to Hitler and Mussolini. They signed documents such as the Locarno Treaty and the Munich Agreement, signed by British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain. They gave Nazi Germany more and more power at the same time that England was cutting back on military expenditures. By the time Hitler was ready to strike, England was so anemic, it was barely able to survive the Nazi onslaught. Chamberlain, like Obama, was so afraid of the terrors of war that he forgot that a strong arsenal is the best way to prevent a war.

In 1940, the British were defeated by the Germans in Norway. Finally, the British Parliament, even the far left Labour Party and its leader Clement Atlee, realized that the pacifist Prime Minister Chamberlain had to go. They scrambled to hold a two-day debate and, at the end of it, Chamberlain was given a vote of “No Confidence.” He was thrown out of power and Winston Churchill became the Prime Minister of England.

When will the establishment of America realize that Obama is demilitarizing America and move to remove him from office? Mark my words. A point in time will come when rational liberal Democrats of the current power structure will realize that their ability to stay in power and America’s national survival are being threatened by Obama’s weakness on the world stage. And when that time comes, Obama will be removed from office. President Obama is worse than Neville Chamberlain and he will be remembered by history as a president worse than Jimmy Carter.*

More and more, each day as I look around it’s as though a hostile foreign power has taken over the nation. Let me ask you something. If China had actually taken over the United States of America and put a Chinese leader in power with a blue hat and a red star, who spoke nicely and didn’t yell, and he said and did the same things that Obama has said and done by stages—which is Fabian socialism; a gradual, stage-by-stage creeping socialist revolution—could they have done anything more rapidly than what Obama is doing to disarm us?

  Answer: No.

Barack Hussein Obama is following the protocols of the radical Left. He is implementing the zany theories and propaganda espoused by every pot-head and crackpot college professor he’s chatted with. His assurances that Russia and China and the other nuclear nations are going to play faaaair with us is plain nuts. So, forgive me for my skepticism about his intentions here. Forgive me for expressing my concern about his dismantling, disarming, and demoralizing our military.

The outcome here is the takeover of America just as if we had been taken over by an invading army. When you have a pacifist liberal elite running throughout the halls of Congress and in the White House, they don’t have to be open traitors—they’re doing the same work as traitors, that’s all.

I grew up in a different generation where I understood the dangers of the world. Unfortunately, so many of the American sheeple do not understand the dangers of their world. They, like our president, live in a dream world. They have no idea of the perilous times in which they live. They’re like a delicate garden plant; a plant that’s comfortable living with sunlight and fresh water but oblivious to the threat that surrounds them.

Although weeds are creeping into the garden, taking over their neighbors one-by-one on a daily basis, they sit there smiling up at the sun waiting for the raindrops to fall not knowing that soon, very soon, the weeds will overtake them and they, too, will cease to exist. America is that garden. The American people need a gardener who will defend them, who will uproot the enemies of freedom and till the soil of peace.

The last thing America needs is Obama the Destroyer.

*Just before this book went to press, the
FBI arrested 11 alleged Russian agents on our soil who had been put into place to infiltrate the policy-making circles of power in Washington. It has been established that Obama knew of the FBI operation before he met with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. Some have questioned the timing. Some believe there might be a shadow government within the government—a vestige of patriots within the justice depart—who felt compelled to act to keep in check the warming of relations with Russia.

Given the radical nature of the Obama Administration, another probability is that the administration itself decided to pull the trigger on the investigation at this time to throw dust in the eyes of the American people who may be concerned about the Obama Administration’s tilt toward Russia and communist China. That is, by outing the Russian spies, people might be led to believe that Obama cares about our national security and that we have nothing to fear about letting our guard down.

  CHAPTER 11

The Savage Manifesto: Borders, Language, Culture, and Economics

The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.

  —Albert Einstein

The future of America hangs in the balance like a loose tooth.

The more you look at America’s problems, the more it looks like Lady Liberty is suffering from terminal cancer. Patriots like you and me are oncologists. Every limb of the body politic that we explore, we see that the cancer has spread. Is that an overstatement? Far from it. Name one organ of government that isn’t infected with this mad progressivism, mad-Marxism, and mad-passivism that I’ve dissected in this opus.
