  She puts the swatches down and folds her hands on the table. “Hate is such a strong word.”

  She always does this—she avoids the question and gives these vague answers. What I’m getting out of this is that Alexander’s friends are not going to be receptive to me at first. And that’s fine because I can deal with that. It’s not like they would come between us, right?

  I quickly make an excuse to leave so she doesn’t start giving me any more unsolicited advice.

  Ugh. Now I have two days to worry about this. I definitely didn’t sign up for having my own psychic. And now it appears that I do. I think it’s time I found a new place to live.
