Iburst through the front door of Iris’s home, not bothering to knock. I had rushed over as soon as I got the call. The others were on their way here too. “I need to speak with Mr. Mike right now!”
“What the hell man?” Cameron yelled, throwing up his hands.
“Where’s Mr. Mike?” I ask frantically, trying to catch my breath.
Mr. Mike came out of the living room. “What’s wrong? Where’s Iris?” He demanded.
I shake my head back and forth, unable to meet their eyes as I say, “Trace just called me. I got here as fast as I could. He said that when he got to the lake, he found the remnants of a…Spiritseeker. B-but—”
Cam grabbed me by my shirt and slammed me up against the wall. “But what!?” He hollered.
“Iris wasn’t there!” I shout back, voice shaking. “There were signs that…someone took her.”
