“Oh, yeah, now that’s a coffee break,” Alicia said as Darren slipped out of her. She unwound her legs and stood leaning against the wall. How it was she never seemed to look disheveled always amazed Darren.

Darren grabbed is clothes and went back to the bathroom, leaving the door open as he had before. This time Alicia joined him. She opened a drawer and used the makeup she kept there to freshen up before taking a wash cloth and running it under water, wringing it out thoroughly. She stepped into the shower and used the washcloth between her legs, smiling at Darren when he watched her in the mirror. It took fifteen or so minutes before they looked put together and as if nothing had happened.

Walking to his desk, Darren leaned against it and used two fingers to shuffle through some papers he had sitting there. “I have a question for you.”

Alicia went to one of the arm chairs and relaxed back into it, one arm draped across the back and watched him. “What’s that?”

  “Marry me.”

Alicia’s eyebrows went up and she snorted. “I don’t think so. You’ll just cheat on me with your secretary.”

Darren smiled at that little joke. He’d never been married, so technically had never cheated on anyone. “You remember my cousin, Phil?”

“Yes.” She nodded. “What about him?”

“He has some sort of club he owns in Saint Louis. I never looked into it very much.”

“I remember. So?” Alicia left the chair and walked to the credenza, making another cup of coffee, first for herself then a second she carried across the room and handed off to Darren.

“Thanks.” Darren sipped the coffee and winked. “This is good stuff when that thing works the right way.” He spent a few seconds glaring hatefully at the coffee maker and ignoring Alicia’s soft giggling before he continued, “He’s actually part owner, the corporation has a silent interest. My corporation. Me. I think he’s money laundering. This club caters to couples, that’s all I really know about it, married couples,” Darren explained. “I backed him, trusted him, believed in him because we grew up together and he’s family.”

“God, Darren, I’m sorry.” Alicia walked over and put hand on his arm, rubbing lightly. “And you want to go look for yourself?”

“I need to look for myself.” Darren nodded. “It’s the only way to find out what’s going on and make sure if he’s doing something illegal it’s stopped before real damage is done. The short of damage that causes the people wearing FBI windbreakers storm the place and confiscate hard drives and files. Something like that can spread through my organization like a virus. Honestly, you’re the only person I trust.”

Alicia tapped her finger on the desk and smiled sweetly. “Both of our pictures are on the company website. What if someone looks?”

“One step ahead of you,” Darren said and grinned, holding up one finger. “I told IT I wanted new photos and bios up and to take all the old ones down until they were completed.” He shrugged. “Thin excuse and the odds are no one is going to be looking us up, or recognizing us, but I wanted to be sure. I booked us under Mr. and Mrs. Allen Preston. You’re my lovely wife Darlene.”

“What do you plan on doing if you find illegal activity going on?”

“Put an end to it, of course. Quietly and by force if necessary.” Darren cracked his knuckles and Alicia rolled her eyes. “We’ll leave first thing in the morning. I’ll pick you up around eight.”

“Guess I’d better go pack and take Milo to the kennel for the week.” Alicia turned and walked to the door, stopping before she left. “No more fighting with the coffee maker while I’m gone and can’t rescue you. There’s a Starbucks down the street, go there.”

The next day Darren arrived in his limo in front of Alicia’s townhouse fifteen minutes early. He whistled softly as he walked up the sidewalk, admiring the flowers she’d planted. Darren let himself in the front door. He paid for the townhouse, so he had a key. Usually he didn’t use the key unless Alicia knew he was coming and in this case she’d expect it since she would have luggage to take with her. Two steps inside the front door he banged into three suitcases and nearly hit the floor.

“What the—?” He grumbled and sidestepped around the luggage. “How many bags do you need? It’s just a few days.”

Alicia breezed in from the other room, phone to her ear. “I’d like him to have play time with the other dogs twice a day and a separate walk.” She stopped and held up one finger. “No, that’s fine, I know it was short notice and I appreciate you taking him. Family emergency. The man there last night when I came in wasn’t sure if someone could give him the extra walk. Oh, and would there be an opening for a bath?” Alicia smiled brightly. She loved that big mutt of hers and Darren was happy to foot the bill for him too. “That’s great, Sandy, your staff always does such a good job. Give the big, slobbery boy a hug for me.” She ended the call. “We really need a kennel and groomer for the employees. The ones with kids have a corporate day care.”

“Set it up if you think it’ll be utilized,” Darren said. He picked up one suitcase and walked to the front door, opening it and setting the bag just outside.

“I have five all together. There’re two more in the bedroom. Is this club formal, casual, do I need swimwear? You gave me almost nothing to go on.” She extended the handle on one of the bags and pulled it out of the door and down the walk to the limo. “So, I packed for every contingency I could think of,” she called over her shoulder.

“And that’s why you’re the best administrative assistant on the planet,” Darren said.

“Kiss up,” Alicia mumbled as she reached the limo, leaving her bag by the trunk.

Darren shook his head, took two more suitcases and followed her. He sent the driver back with Alicia for the rest of her luggage. After she made one more check of her house, and locked up they were ready to go. When they were settled inside the limo and on their way Darren pulled out a small box.

  “Wedding rings,” he said simply.

Alicia took the box and opened it, cocking her head to one side while she dipped the box so the rings caught the light at different angles. She nodded. “Not bad.”

Holding his hand out, Darren waggled his fingers. She laid her left hand in his and handed him the rings. Slipping them over her finger he leaned in and kissed her cheek. “The perfect rings for the perfect couple.”

  “That remains to be seen.”

“I thought those rings would reflect a nice upper middle class couple,” Darren said. “No need to call unwanted attention by having anything that is too expensive.” He extended one arm and showed her his watch. The normal one, a ten thousand dollar time piece he’d had specially designed was now replaced by a tasteful watch retailing for less than a thousand dollars.

Alicia smiled. “I like them. They’re pretty.” She touched the watch. “That looks nice on you.”

“What can I say? I have impeccable taste. And I’ll let you show me exactly how much you like them once we’re in the air,” Darren said in a low voice.

  “I’m sure you will.”

Darren’s private jet was waiting for them at the airport. They drove to the landing strip in the limo, which was much easier than having to ride in one of those little carts that many airports forced him to use. It didn’t take long for the crew to load their luggage and for Darren and Alicia to settle in for the flight.

The center of the jet was a private room complete with an entertainment center, dining area with a table that seated four. There was a living room with comfortable chairs and couches and alongside that was a spacious sleeping area if needed. There was a shower large enough for two that took up one entire corner. It was surrounded by dark glass for privacy. Beside that was a closet large enough for a few days’ worth of clothing.

Darren swiveled one of the chairs at the dining table around for Alicia and kissed the top of her head when she slipped into it. He used an intercom to alert the chef they were ready for breakfast. Thankfully their coffee would be se
rved in a large carafe. Not a rebellious coffee maker in sight.

While one of the chef’s staff brought their breakfast, Darren sat in the other chair, across from Alicia and spread some files out on the table. He pulled papers from them arranging them in a logical order and turning them so she could easily read them.

Their breakfast consisted of a large bowl of the fresh fruits Alicia liked so well. Eggs benedict and freshly prepared pineapple juice. A carafe of rich, dark blend Italian coffee sat in the middle of the table next to cream and sugar bowls.

“On the surface this looks pretty legit. However, when I started digging deeper, and I had to really search through the financials, I found this,” Darren said and pointed to one of the papers he’d fanned out between their plates.

Alicia stopped eating and took the paper, pulled it closer then picked it up, scrutinizing the information. “Oh, my goodness.” She looked up at him, meeting his gaze steadily. “This is certainly incriminating. What are you going to do when we get there?”

Darren finished off his eggs and leaned back in the chair. “Confirm that information then beat the crap out of Phil for starters. Shut this activity down and then I’ll decide what to do with the actual business. I’d like to avoid closing this club and putting people out of work if possible.” He rubbed his forehead. “The simple fact is the majority of the employees wouldn’t know anything about this, probably need their jobs and work hard.”

Alicia reached across the table and took Darren’s hand. “You’re a good man.”

They stopped talking when one of the staff came in to clear their plates. Alicia poured coffee for them and they sat quietly sipping from their cups. Alicia swiveled her chair to the side and leaned close to the window, looking out. After the waitress left, Darren stood and went to the door, making sure it was securely locked. He strode to Alicia and took her coffee cup from her hand, setting it on the table. Taking her hand, Darren pulled her up and against him. He licked along her neck and held her more tightly when she drew in a deep breath and let it out slowly.

“Get your clothes off,” Darren ordered in a low voice. The shiver that worked through Alicia made Darren’s body echo one in response. He loved feeling how her ribcage expanded and contracted with each of her deep breaths and throaty moans.

Alicia sighed and stepped away from him. The tip of her pink tongue skimmed the shimmering red of her lips. She cocked her head to the side, holding one of his hands as she did so and squeezed lightly before letting go. She backed away slowly, first her blouse came off. She gazed directly into Darren’s eyes as she unbuttoned each button slowly until the garment fell open. It slid off her shoulders to pool on the floor in a pretty heap. Next she kicked her sandals off and slid her skirt down and stepped out of it, leaving it beside the blouse.

Her lacey bra and skimpy, delicate panties were dark red, and contrasted beautifully with her chocolate skin tones. Darren stripped off his suit jacket and shirt. His shoes and socks were next then he yanked his belt off, tossing it to the bed. Alicia turned and watched, raising her eyebrows before returning her gaze to him.

Darren closed the distance between them and took Alicia in his arms again. He walked her backward until he could ease her down onto the bed. He made short work of unhooking her bra. Leaning over her he held her tightly with one arm and supported himself with the other. Using his teeth he lightly skimmed over the skin of her shoulders, down to a round, hard nipple.

He pulled her nipple into his mouth, sucking and nipping until Alicia was writhing against him, moaning with every exhale. He could feel how wet her pussy was even through his pants and her panties. He pulled his arm out from under her and laid her flat on the bed. Holding her in place with one hand, fingers spanned out across her chest, he inched down her body, planting a trail of kisses against her sleek, supple skin. He inhaled deeply, enjoying her scent, fresh with an undertone of something citrusy.

Hooking one finger under the band of her panties, Darren slipped them off and dropped them on the floor. “Hmm… now for my real breakfast.”

Alicia began to laugh but the cheerful sound was cut short by a long, breathy moan when Darren’s tongue dived through the folds of her very moist pussy and inside her. He lapped and sucked, pulled out and ran his tongue through the nappy, neatly trimmed tight curls between her legs.

Shoving his pants off, Darren kept up his attentions to Alicia’s cunt, pulling on the folds, using his finger and tongue to assault her clit until her head thrashed side to side and her body began to quiver and jerk. When Alicia’s nails, as red as her underwear, dug into the sheet Darren knew it was time he repositioned himself. In one swift, smooth motion he thrust his cock deeply inside her.

He loved it like this, taking her just as her orgasm began. His cock was squeezed in her pulsing heat. He held her tightly, nipped and kissed her jaw and neck as he thrust repeatedly into her. Alicia shouted and arched her back, shoving up against Darren. She grabbed his hair, hanging on and bucked harder against Darren. Her heels dug into the backs of his thighs when he grunted and gritted his teeth, blowing his hot liquid into her. His entire body clenched for a second then spasms rocketed through him, gradually easing to a slow, steady thrum running through is veins.

Darren had no idea how long they laid there wrapped up in one another until their breathing was normal again. Shifting so she was against his side and he was facing her, Darren caressed her cheek with the back of two fingers. Alicia smiled and sighed deeply, signaling to Darren how sated and satisfied she was.

Eventually he felt one wing of the plane dip. They were turning, probably getting close to the airport that was their destination. It was time they thought about preparing to disembark and get on with the job they’d come here to do. Alicia must have been reading his mind. She sat up, stretched and sighed. She swung her long, shapely legs over the side of the bed and stood. Reaching down she tapped his leg.

“I’d like a shower before we leave the plane,” she said.

Darren smiled and followed her to the shower. The water was hot and the shower was well stocked with the scented soaps and gels Alicia loved as well as the more subtle, manly products Darren preferred. After soaping one another up Alicia leaned in and whispered in his ear, “I haven’t thanked you lately for all the pleasantries in my life you provide.”

Before he could from an intelligent response to her heartfelt words she dropped to her knees and took his cock in her mouth. First it was only the fleshy head of his cock she sucked on. Eventually she used her fingertips against his balls and taint, pressing here, rubbing and pinching there. At the same time she tilted her long, elegant neck back and at long last took all of Darren’s length. Her tongue skimmed over and around, pressing in hard and lightly tickling in the next seconds. It didn’t take long before Darren had to grip the rails around the inside of the shower with both hands, coming all over Alicia’s face.

Another quick freshen up, the plane had a very limited supply of hot water and they were reaching the end, so they had to be very quick before they left the bath area. Alicia dressed in a nice, but not overtly expensive sundress. It was red with white polka dots and the bodice was heart shaped. Darren decided against his normal suit and went for olive khakis and a polo shirt. They looked nice, not flashy, good incomes but not the billions Darren earned every year.

“Phil is away for the weekend for his sister’s baby shower,” Darren explained after they were in a cab and on their way.

“Strange if he owns a nice club it wouldn’t be held there,” Alicia said.

“Yes, my thoughts and the reason I began looking into things. His sister only lives two hours away, so no reason for him not to at least cater her party. I’ll concede the fact maybe there are people who wouldn’t want to travel the few hours to his club. And his sister is due in a few weeks that might not be the best thing for her. I would, however expect him to host it in some way, and according to my mother he did nothing.” Darren had a carry bag for his files. Like his cl
othes and the jewelry he provided Alicia for this trip, it was nice, but not outrageously expensive.

Alicia ran her hand over the carry bag. “You’ve put thought into this. Are you learning that something doesn’t have to cost at least five grand to be nice?”

“Hmm… I don’t want some stray tag watcher picking up on the fact I have possessions that look more expensive than what I’d probably own making a hundred grand a year or so.” He took her chin and kissed her. “Other than you of course.”

Their cab ride was maybe forty-five minutes. They finally arrived at the club slash resort called the Whipping Fern, which Darren thought was a very odd name. He presumed it had some local significance.

The sun was shining and there was a slight breeze as they left the cab. A young man dressed in white pants and a net black shirt that had to be at least two sizes too small arrived with a luggage rack and loaded up their bags. From the outside the building looked like any other small hotel. There was an overhang above the walkway. Plants and flowers lined both sides and there were large, glass double doors at the front entrance. The doors were darkened, so seeing inside was difficult. All that Darren could see was people moving about, but they looked like shadows. He was beginning to think he should have devoted more energy into finding out what type of resort this was, not just its financial health.

Alicia slipped her arm through his and smiled at him as they walked up to the entrance. The glass doors slid open and they crossed to the reception desk. Darren turned and looked one way, while Alicia looked the other. Definitely he’d been remiss in some of his research.

They had to wait in line for a few minutes, it seemed a lot of people were checking in which made Darren think the place was pretty popular. Along one side was a hospitality desk of warm wood polished to a high luster. There was a floor of lighter wood and equally polished. A central staircase was surrounded by a garden of trees, tropical plants and a fountain and pond with a wooden arch bridge leading from one side to the other.
