  Praise For Author

I’m not going to go into too much detail so as not to spoil it but he twists are superb. You question your feelings about some of the characters and then bam! You’re realising they’re questioning themselves too. An emotional, sometimes dark, but ultimately hopeful book

This was one of those books I simply couldn't put down. The plot, which is set during the financial crisis of 2007-8, has so many nuances, from personal identity, self-worth, addiction and, ultimately, hope. This may be a novel about women, but is by no means 'chick-lit'. Jenni's characterisation has relevance to both men and women alike, covering the twists, turns, insecurities and dreams that many of us face, especially as we get to the 'I'm really am meant to be a grown up' part of life. Highly recommended.

As someone who reads approximately 2/3 books a week, and all of this genre, I consider myself a 'minor expert!' in the field. I LOVED this book and did not see the twist coming. Interesting and real characters with enough questions about whether they were 'goodies' or 'baddies' to keep my interest all the way through. Underneath all the tight and accurate 'thriller-ish' narrative are also some serious issues that will resonate with many. These were honest and realistic and added another layer to the novel. This author deserves massive success - this is a bloody great, un-putdownable novel that contributed to me nearly missing a work deadline. Loved the London setting; all true and accurate..... I NEED the next one

I love this genre and so was eager to read The Girl who just Wanted to Have Fun. I found that the author as the ability to engross you in the story so that it makes you not want to put the book down. The plot twists and turns at every level and at a nice pace to keep you entertained. I liked how the characters gradually grew. All of them having real depth and are presented really well. I liked how the chapters were divided by each character so you were only concentrating on one particularly person at any one time. I certainly look forward to more books by this author. All in all, highly recommended and certainly worth a read.

Omg this book is hard to put down. Have not read a good thriller like this for sometime. After the first few pages of the first chapter you realise you will not be able to put this book down. Some delicious twists and layers of psychological distress await you in this book. Love the three women characters and their flaws come to life. Great setting and the end was classic! Fab! Go buy and lock yourself away

The Girl Who Just Wanted to Have Fun

Three stories. Three women. One life in ruins.

Watch out for the unexpected twist.

Liz is a career woman who is desperately trying to break through the glass ceiling in the world of finance, Betsy is the motherly figure with more than enough on her plate, while Ellie is a wild party girl, hooked on having a good time. As the lives of the three become increasingly interwoven, the sudden financial crisis creates a different set of problems for each one, as they battle to maintain their individual lifestyles. And as it deepens they find that the pressure of life becomes almost unbearable, as Liz loses her job, Betsy’s mother dies and Ellie is assaulted while out one night. As lives begin to unravel, Liz suffers a crisis as her increasingly bizarre behaviour spirals out of control and she suddenly finds herself shunned by the people she knows. Rescued by friends, life begins to look a little brighter and there is yet one last surprise for her. The question is, will Liz be able to regain control, or is it already too late for her?

  ˃˃˃ Dark and Gripping

Set against the run-up to the global financial meltdown of 2008-2009, this is the story of another meltdown, much more personal and, in some ways, far more destructive

˃˃˃ I LOVED this book and did not see the twist coming

Underneath all the tight and accurate 'thriller-ish' narrative are also some serious issues that will resonate with many. These were honest and realistic and added another layer to the novel.

  ˃˃˃ Sheer Brilliance

What a rollicking good read! Gripped from the first page - the characters of the three women unravelled from the outset leaving the reader wanting more and more. Wonderful descriptions of London which made me feel as if I was there

  ˃˃˃ Surprised me...

I found that the author as the ability to engross you in the story so that it makes you not want to put the book down. The plot twists and turns at every level and at a nice pace to keep you entertained.

˃˃˃ This book, I would literally MAKE TIME for

A bit like 'Girl on the Train' which I also got sucked into - but better. I avoided thrillers, etc. for ages, probably due to a snobbish hangover from studying English Literature. But this book is proper literature - and exciting, well-written literature at that. It's also so much more than a thriller, but an interesting portrayal of three-women. Actual three-dimensional, you'd-meet-them-in-your-life women. I don't often write reviews - had to for this book. Read it. Now.
