A Winter's Date Page 16

by Sasha Brümmer

My nostrils flare at his admission, and I point my finger at his chest now. “Just so you know . . . you are not doing me up the butt now.”

I turn and sit down in my seat and grab the door, effectively closing it on him. I’m mad, and he needs to know it. Still, a small part of me is happy it happened because it made me realize just how much I love him.

He stands outside looking in at me for a long minute before walking around and getting in the driver’s seat. Silently, he starts the car and backs up before putting it in drive and heading in the direction of my apartment.

“I really like that ass of yours, though . . .”

I try my best to stay mad, so I refuse to look at him. If I look, I’ll lose my nerve. He’s just too stinking gorgeous. “Yeah? It’s so not happening.”

  “I beg to differ, Heather.”

I huff and look at my chipped nail polish. “Beg all you want,” I mutter under my breath.

The bastard arrogantly reaches over and cups me between my legs.

I’m betrayed by my own body and my legs slightly open for him. Within an instant, I realize what he’s trying to do, and I move his hands.

“Don’t deny me my fun, gorgeous. You wouldn’t want me denying you my cock.”

“You had your fun today, remember?” I turn and look at him with an evil idea in mind. “And tonight I’ll have my fun.”

“Oh yeah? Will you now? I’m already looking forward to this.”

He pulls into the apartment elevator, and it takes us up to my parking spot. I’m too busy formulating my plan to realize he’s undoing my seatbelt and pulling me toward him. His hands glide up my neck and cup both sides of my face. Before I can try and pull back, his lips are on mine in a hurry. His tongue flicks the seam of my lips, coaxing me to open up for him.

  I do.

I can’t help but surrender myself to this Greek god. His lips move from mine and down my neck, nipping all the way down to my collarbone. I can barely breathe when his smoky, cool voice touches my skin, “We need to get ready. Lana and Coen will be here in a few minutes.”

His voice is thick with lust, and my eyes flutter closed at the feel of his lips and teeth on my heated skin.

He takes in a deep breath and pulls back, as if it’s the most painful thing he has ever had to do. Leaning back against the seat, he composes himself and attempts to rein in his monstrous erection. Then he gets out of the car and waits for me to join him before walking into the apartment with me.

Holy crap . . . what was that all about?

I walk directly into the kitchen and get out some wine glasses. I’m not sure if Lana likes wine or beer or shots, but I have it all. I’m trying to busy myself in the kitchen to keep from thinking about his lips on my body. I’m soaked between my legs, and it’s highly distracting.

Noah walks into the living room and takes a seat on the couch as my cell phone rings, and it’s my doorman. I quickly answer and tell him that I am indeed expecting guests. He asks me for their names, and I give him Coen and Lana’s name, pausing when I realize that I don’t know Lana’s last name . . . crap . . . but he quickly thanks me and tells me that they are on their way up. I thank him before hanging up.

I walk over to the door and unlock it just in time to hear Coen’s voice coming down the hall. He seems so happy, and I find myself happy for him. I open the door before he has a chance to knock, and I smile, welcoming Lana inside. “You, however, can stay out there.” I direct my words at Coen, and he stares with his mouth open.

“Oh Heather . . . your apartment is gorgeous,” Lana says.

I get distracted and Coen steals into the apartment and shuts the door.

“Thank you, Lana. If you can’t tell, I love pink.” I walk back into the kitchen and open the bottle of wine. “Would you like a drink? I have wine, beer, and hard liquor.”

“I love pink, too, and if you have a sweet white wine, I’ll take that, please.”

She sets her large makeup bag down and walks over to the floor-to-ceiling windows. I watch as Coen joins her and snakes his arms around her from behind. She leans back against him comfortably, and they almost melt into each other. It’s obvious that their feelings toward each other are intense, and I know exactly how it feels.

I feel my Greek god approach as I pour the wine. He stands beside me and runs his hand down my back to my butt, telling me he’s ready to take me as soon as we are alone, but he’s distracted. He’s looking at his phone in his other hand.

“I just got this email.” He holds his phone up so that I’m able to see and read over it quickly.

  To: Noah Ryan

  From: Henry Somer

  IN RE: Meet-Up Date

  Noah,

Ellery and I are delighted that you are back home in the States. We trust that your travels went well. We are available on the second weekend of May. We look forward to sharing our lives with you and would like to invite you to join us at our home in Southampton. Please let us know if this will work for you.

  Well wishes,

  Henry

I look up at him and smile softly. “So we’re going then? Are you okay with that?”

“That’s next weekend, correct?” He clicks on his calendar to confirm it and nods. “Yeah, I can do that.” I watch him type out an email back to his father, and I smile when I feel his body relax.

I pour Lana and myself a glass of Risqué and walk over to her and Coen, handing her the glass.

“No beer for me, little lady?”

“Lana? Did you hear something?” I ask with sarcasm as I sip my wine and sit on the couch to take my boot off.

She giggles and shakes her head, deciding to play along with me. “Nope, I didn’t hear a thing.”

  “That’s what I thought.”

Noah walks over and hands Coen a beer; they toast and each swallow a long drink.

I reach down and take my boot off. The throbbing I’ve felt for the last half-hour has intensified, and I reach for my purse. I don’t normally take pain medication, but I really screwed up when I ran to Noah. “So where are we going tonight?” I ask of nobody in particular while I take the medicine.

“We can head to Marquee,” Coen offers.

I nod and look over at Lana. “Is that okay with you, Lana? I’m fine with whatever. I just need to shower and get ready.”

“That works for me. Would you mind if I came up and got ready too? I brought my stuff, in case Coen wanted to get ready at his place.”

I am feeling an instant friendship connection with her. It would be great to have a girlfriend to do things with, since I don’t have my Dill. “Of course, you can use the other bathroom if you need to shower.” I look over at Noah and Coen, both seem to be checked out and playing on their phones.

“That’d be wonderful, thank you,” she says politely and grabs her things before going to the bathroom down the hall.

“I’ll be up to join you soon, ballerina. I need to make sure Coen doesn’t fucking cheat at this game.”

“Okay, boys, have fun with that.” I stand up and walk past them. I decide to try and walk upstairs without my boot to test my foot. It’s weak but doesn’t feel too bad. If we’re going out tonight, there’s no way I’m wearing that stupid boot. I make it upstairs and undress before stepping into the shower, wondering if this thing between Coen and Lana is more than a fling.

I’m about to finish up in the shower when the door opens, and my naked Greek god walks in. “Damn . . .” he mutters as I bend over to finish shaving my legs.

I look up and for some reason become incredibly shy. I can wash in front of him, but shaving my legs—that’s another story. I suck it up and make quick work of finishing my legs, and I turn around and face him. He’s staring at where my butt was. “Don’t even think about it, mister.”

“Oh, I’m thinking about it, ballerina.” He starts washing his tanned skin and pecs. “What do you think about Lana?”

I smile and start washing my body. “She’s certainly sweet
; I like her a lot.” I caress my breasts with my loofah and watch his eyes darken a little more. With my plan solidified and set into action, I turn around and step back into him. “Can you get my back, please?” I ask innocently and hold out the soapy loofah.

“What are your thoughts on her?” I ask and wait for him to wash me.

I can physically feel his mood shift. Holy crap, I’ve brought on a thunderstorm. He takes the loofah and runs it across the back of my shoulders first.

“She’s nice . . .” are the only words I get from him. He seems to be concentrating on me and me alone. I smile to myself, knowing I’m getting to him.

“Do you think she’s right for him?”

“Huh?” He runs the loofah down to my butt and lets out a held-in breath.

I take another step back and feel his length against my soapy rear end. His breath catches, and I rub against him. Turning my head, I look over my shoulder at him. He’s looking down at where our bodies are touching. “I said . . . is she right for him?”

“I’m going to be honest with you right now. I haven’t heard a fucking word you have said.” His eyes are dark, and his voice is thick with lust.

“Yeah?” I ask coyly and grind my butt into him, making sure his shaft is snug between my cheeks; I bring my arm up and around his neck to pull him from his daze

His cock flexes and hardens further. “This ass is mine. I’ll fucking take it whenever I want. Is that clear?”

I angle my head and press my lips to his, sucking on his bottom lip as I moan and rub up against him. “Mmm . . .” I reply before adding, “I don’t think so.” I bite down on his lip and tug, before pulling my body away from his. I peek back, and he seems as if he’s going to combust.

His body stands there, rigid and wanton. “Have your fun now, ballerina, but that ass will be mine when you least expect it.”

I watch him rinse the soap off of his body and hear the rumble in the back of his throat, and I know, without a doubt, that he is dead serious.

I still feel like I’ve won this little battle between us, so I step out of the shower after rinsing off and pull on my satin robe. “I’ll be downstairs with Lana getting ready.”

“Keep that pussy warm for me,” he calls from the shower, and I shut my bedroom door.

I laugh softly and walk downstairs, knocking on the bathroom door.

“Lana? It’s Heather. I’m ready when you are.”

I hear giggling behind the door, and then I realize Coen is nowhere to be found. Moments later, the door opens and Coen steps out with a grin plastered on his face.

“You always ruin my fun, Heather,” he jokes and walks into the kitchen.

Lana is still giggling when I walk in.

“Hmmm,” I say with a smile when I shut the door behind me. “You two look awfully cute together.”

I know I should stick by Dillen’s side, but if I’m being honest, they really do. I watch her blush as I run the wide-tooth comb through my hair.

“He makes me laugh quite a bit,” she replies and leans forward to finish her eye shadow.

I smile and sit down on the vanity stool. “Well, that’s always a plus. Laughter is good.”

I’m wondering if she and I are actually talking about the same Coen. The only side of Coen I’ve seen is the hornball. Well, there was that one night when he helped take care of Noah with me.

“He’s great, and I think this could actually lead to something, if I’m honest. I mean, we haven’t had sex yet—not in the strict sense of the word—and he’s been asking to see me almost every day after work.”

I try to keep my composure but inside I’m freaking out.

Umm, excuse me? No sex? With Coen?

  “Wow. Really? That’s . . . well, that’s great, Lana.”

She smiles and turns to me, wiggling her fingers. “All done. Now let me get at that pretty face of yours.” She instantly switches into work mode and starts matching my shade to her array of foundations.

“Okay, so your skin is, like, flawless, Heather, so I’m going to use a little foundation on you. But first, I start with the eyes. I absolutely loathe eye shadow fallout.” She talks while she gets her brushes out, and I’m rather impressed. Normally when I have my makeup done, the artist just does it without really talking or explaining anything.

“What are you wearing tonight, by the way?”

“Umm, I think I’m going to opt for this black outfit that I’ve yet to wear. Noah hasn’t seen it, so I think I’m going with that,” I reply as she gently tilts my chin up with her fingers and starts to apply a primer onto my eyelids.

“Okay, cool, so we can go with any color really. How do you feel about shimmer? Or do you want more of a bold statement?”

“Oh, I love shimmer. Can we do a little of both?” I ask, and she smiles.

“Girl, I can do whatever you want.”

A half-hour passes and she’s completely done applying the makeup. She picks out a lighter lip gloss because she went darker on my eyes. “Do you like this color?”

I turn to look and am blown away by the emerald green color. It’s bold, with a matching green shimmer over it. It’s so sultry that I’m in complete awe of her work.

“Holy crap, Lana. You are freaking awesome. I love it.”

She smiles at me in the mirror. “You are most welcome. Now go get this little outfit on; I can’t wait to see it.”

I stand and hug her briefly. The connection I feel with her is considerably sisterly, and it reminds me that I need to text or call my own sister. “Okay, you get dressed too. I’ll be down shortly.” I open the bathroom door and sneak past Noah and Coen who are sitting on the couch watching an action movie of sorts.

I descend down the two flights of stairs cautiously once I’m dressed, trying to not aggravate my foot. I walk lightly into the living room to where the three of them are sitting. “Is everyone ready to go?”

“Heather . . .” Lana gasps and applauds excitedly when she sees me.

She’s wearing gold-glittered cropped pants and a loose fitting black button-down, which she has tucked into the waistband of her pants. The solid black heels she has on ties the look together; she looks undeniably breathtaking. I can now see why Coen is holding onto her.

Noah stands up and walks over to me. His eyes stare at mine and gradually work their way down my body.

“Holy fuck.” His voice is almost a snarl as he stops right in front of me. His stormy eyes immediately fall to the V-shaped notch cut out of my top, lingering there for a moment before they move down my black jumpsuit, to my emerald green Volpi Louboutins.

His eyes narrow, and I do my best to hide my smile. “No, Heather, you can’t wear those.” His voice is scolding as he looks up at me.

“Oh boy,” I hear Coen say in the background.

Lana giggles. “Noah, she looks divine, so don’t you be a downer.”

“She’s going to fuck up her foot. Heather, you can’t. As fucking sexy as you look, I don’t want you to hurt yourself.”

“I promise I won’t dance, okay?” There is no way in hell I’m wearing that boot with this outfit, and I’ll fight him tooth and nail on this one.

Lana gets up and walks over to us. “Noah, let her have one night where she gets to feel utterly ravishing.”

I can see it in his eyes the moment he gives in, and it makes me smile. “Thank you, baby.” I place a small kiss on his lips and pat his hard chest before walking over to grab my clutch.

  “Who’s calling for a cab?”

“It’s already downstairs waiting,” Coen says as he takes Lana’s hand. I still can’t believe that he hasn’t had sex with her; I really need to tell Noah.

“You guys go on down; we’ll be right behind you.” I crook my finger at Noah and take the last swallow from my wine. I am so sexually aroused by the way Noah looks. I knew I would be, so I decided to go this evening without panties on, without shame. I watch him as he takes a drink from his beer and stalks toward me as I hear t
he front door close.

“Ballerina, you are truly killing me this evening. You look stunning, and I can’t wait to show you off to every single person we come in contact with tonight.” He snakes his arm around my waist and pulls me against his chest. He’s wearing a dark blue button-down with a solid black tie and a textured grey vest. I run my hands from his lower torso up to his sturdy pecs.

“Why, thank you, handsome. She did a great job on my makeup, right?” I lower his hand down to my butt, inviting him to take me.

His fingers cup my cheeks, and I can feel his cock start to harden against my stomach. “She did great. Damn, I could stare at you all night.”

I look down as my cheeks scorch from his sweet words. He tilts my chin up and presses his lips to my jaw. “I don’t want to ruin your lipstick.”

I tilt my face to his and kiss him softly. “You couldn’t possibly ruin anything. Now . . . kiss me like you mean it.”

The electricity crackles between us as he pushes his lips to mine, kissing me slowly, reverently, and lovingly. He hums his approval and pulls me closer to his muscled body. “You’ll let me know if you need to get off of your foot, won’t you?”

“Of course I will.” I slip my tongue into his mouth for a brief moment. “I plan on sitting on your lap all night anyway.”

His hands squeeze my cheeks, telling me he wants me too. “I like the sound of that. Are you ready to go?”

“I am.” I turn and grab my clutch. “Oh, and by the way . . . Coen hasn’t slept with Lana yet.”

The expression on his face is one of complete shock. I think I might have just knocked the breath out of him. “Excuse me?”

I nod and walk to the door, pulling it open. “Yep. No sex.”

“Are we talking about the same assfuck here?” He laces his fingers with mine as we walk to the elevator and head down to my building’s lobby.

  “The one and only.”

We get outside to the waiting cab, and I’m about to open the door when I turn and look up at Noah. “Oh . . . and baby . . .” I lean up and whisper in his ear, “I’m not wearing a bra . . . or panties.” I smile innocently and lick his earlobe before patting his chest and getting in the cab without another word.
