Twisted Solstice Page 4

by Tl Reeve

He filled me to the point of pain, and I relished it. Nothing had ever felt as good or as sinful. I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave a tentative roll my hips. Sparks of pleasure shot through me, lighting me on fire. Gaspar grabbed my ass, guiding me over him as we rocked to this sweet sensual beat. The contrast of how he held me compared to who and what he was hadn’t been lost to me. He could defile me in the most debauched ways, and I’m sure I’d allow it.

  Gaspar shattered my walls.

He bent his head and licked the side of my neck. His groan of approval turned me on more. I fluttered around his intrusion and he dug his nails into my flesh. The added pinch of pain tossed me closer to my release.

“So tight.” He kissed me again. “You were made for us. All of us.” His pace quickened. He rolled us so he took me from behind. The animalistic sounds he made while fucking me were heady, leaving me dizzy with desire.

  “Gaspar,” I moaned.

He fisted my hair with one hand while wrapping his arm around me. The minute his fingertips grazed my clit, I was flying. My orgasm was powerful, stealing my ability to scream or even breath. Gaspar had been unrelenting. He continued to manipulate my clit while he thrust, each shift of his hips stronger than the last. Death by sex was sounding better and better. He hit all the right spots inside of me, tapping on my sweet spot until I came apart in his arms once more.

  Still, he didn't relent.

The man was a marathoner, not a sprinter if you know what I mean.

Harsh pants and groans along with the beat of drums drew my attention away from Gaspar. It only took me a second to realize we weren’t alone any longer. I opened my eyes and found myself back in the canyon, Gaspar still fucking me. Long shadows were cast against the dirt hillside from the fire burning in the pit in the middle of the open area. They each moved as though they were in caught up in a demonic dance I’d never seen before. To my left, Kael fucked Ember. Their bodies rocked together to the hedonistic beat of the drums. They were slipping along the ground through something I couldn’t see. It covered their body in dark lines and painted handprints. Kael hunched into Ember, his shortened strokes turned more desperate by the second. I’d been captivated by their little show, waiting on bated breath to see who would lose control first.

They licked at each other’s fingers then dipped them into this sloppy rivulet of liquid once more. I followed the path back to a slab of mud turned into an altar. Upon it, Paul. His eyes were open and unseeing. His face was pale. His blood flowed from a hole in his neck at a slow sticky pace down to where Ember and Kael were.

A scream of terror lodged in my throat.

“None of that now.” Gaspar turned my face to his, and he kissed me again.

I fell back into him. When I opened my eyes once more, we were back in his room. I clutched at the blanket below me. All of the terror was gone, replaced by this overwhelming lust and pleasure. I lowered myself unable to hold myself up. The change in position sent him deeper, touching me in places that left me bewildered and aroused.

Gaspar followed me down. His breath fanned against my cheek. “You’re ours, Simone.”

He bit into the juncture of my neck and shoulder and flexed within me, holding himself deep. I felt each throb of his release and cried out with pleasure as I climaxed once more. I should have been freaked out. I should have been horrified by what I’d seen. My friend was killed, sacrificed, and all I could think about was fucking Gaspar again or watching Ember and Kael. Hell, maybe joining them too? I’d also been so content, I curl up in Gaspar’s arms and fell asleep. Fuck the experiments and everything else. I wanted to stay with him.

“You don’t know it yet, my treat. But, you’re going to be someone and we’re going to be at your side, forever.”

  Beep, beep, beep!

I jolted upright and groaned. Where the fuck was I? Who set a fucking alarm? I cracked open my eyes. Home. How the fuck had I gotten there? I switched off my alarm then stretched. What the fuck happened last night? Pushing back the covers, I glanced down at myself and frowned. Pajamas? When did I... What the fuck is going on?

A soft knock came at my door before my mother eased inside. “You’re awake.” She let out a sigh and sat down on the side of my bed. “You had me so worried last night.”

“Last night?” I couldn’t remember anything.

“You came home, said you needed a shower and something about you slipped and fell. Hit your head.”

  Hit my head. What? “Oh.”

  “How are you feeling?”

“I guess okay.” My head didn’t hurt. Actually, nothing hurt. It was as if I laid down last night and fell asleep. “Where’s my stuff?”

“Downstairs. You said you put it in your office because no one could touch your evidence. You sounded a bit crazed.” She patted my hand. “Did you find what you were looking for up there in the canyon?”

Did I? It's all a bit foggy. I can remember some stuff like arriving and setting out after the sun went down, but afterward... Darkness. I hoped whatever we caught on the cameras and my phone would prove once and for all what really happens up in Turnbull Canyon after dark. “I don’t know. I need to go over the footage.”

My mom frowned. “I should have always told you about it. I should have told you everything I knew. I... I wanted to protect you. Keep you away from all the stories and murders and crap that went on up there.”

“It’s okay mom,” I said. “Shit happens.”

She nodded. “Why don’t you get dressed. We’ll go grab some lunch and you can tell me about last night.”

  I grinned. “I’d like that.”

After my mother closed the door behind her, I got out of bed and found my phone on my nightstand. The red light blinked indicating I had a message, which surprised me even more. I slid my finger across the screen then hit my voicemail icon.

“You have one message. First message.” The phone clicked then I heard Paul’s voice. “Hey, Simone.”

I jerked. Images poured through my mind. Gaspar taking me from behind. Kael and Ember going at it and then... Holy shit. What the fuck happened last night?

“Look, Ember said something about you not feeling well so Kael and Gaspar took you home while Ember waited with us for them to come back and get us. I don’t know what happened up there, but that shit fucked me up. Felix feels the same way. There was way too much going on. We’re... we’re sorry, we can’t help you process the footage. I can’t—I can’t relive it. Bye, Simone.”

A loud scream, one I couldn’t reproduce or explain emanated from my phone. I covered my ears unable to stand the sound. Yet as quickly as it started, it’d been gone. I blinked several times, trying to understand what just happened. None of it made sense. My phone vibrated in my hand. I glanced down at it and sucked in a breath as a message appeared on the screen.

We’re waiting for you... Come find us, Simone.

“Simone, honey, are you ready?” My mom hollered.

“Yeah, just a minute.” I glanced down at the screen, the screen totally blank, and frowned. What the fuck happened last night?

My name is Simone Hadley, and I’ve been touched by the Devil.

Since the moment I decided to research and prove/disprove the events that have taken place in Turnbull Canyon, my life hasn’t been the same. Not only did I receive a grant from Cal State Long Beach, but I was also recruited by The Adventure Channel who are notorious for their shows dealing in the occult and paranormal.

For the next two years, I’ll be going to different locations trying to uncover the truths and the mysteries of each site. First up: The House of Seven Gables—made famous by Nathaniel Hawthorn. Rumor has it, a small boy can be seen along with his mother. There are cold spots, electrical and water issues, plus, it was built over a well.

And, if the stories about the house tru
e?

Well, at least I have my guides with me—Gaspar, Kael, and Ember.

Did I mention they’re all dead?

But, they’re not the only ones with me.

Rasp, Titus, and Lincoln have joined my team and if I thought my guides kept me on my toes, the addition of these three guys are about to rock my world as well.

Question is; by the time the first season is over, will any of us survive?

**This is a horror-ghost hunting-why choose-novel. There will be multiple lovers for Simone, and in the end, she will end up with at least three of them. Twisted Solstice is the prequel story to this series.
