11 AM: I take my dog Zan on a walk on the beach, where we play fetch. I love living in LA because the beach is only a short drive away. I adopted Zan from a shelter in 2015, and he’s my best friend. It’s a blast watching him grow up and learn new things. Zan even has his own Instagram account, @ZanthePup. I help him run the account.
1 PM: I meet my friend Tez Mengestu at Chipotle for a quick bite to eat. Tez and I have been friends for a while, and it’s nice to catch up and see what he’s up to. Tez is from North Carolina, like me, and it’s nice to have someone to talk to about home and what it’s like living in LA.
3 PM: Tez and I meet our crew for hoops at a local park. Even after eating a huge burrito, I school all of them. No one can keep up with me on the court, but it’s fun to watch them try. And fail.
5 PM: I play with Zan in my backyard. Zan loves to play fetch. He’s still a puppy, so he has a ton of energy. After our basketball game, I get tired out before he does!
7 PM: I get dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. I never get sick of wings, and Buffalo Wild Wings has more than twenty flavors, so it’s the perfect spot for me to get food at the end of an active day. I don’t like to cook, so LA is perfect for me. There’s so much good food, and everyone loves to eat out.
11 PM: After a busy day, I crash at home. I might watch a movie or binge-watch one of my favorite television shows. Tomorrow, I get to do this all again. I’m living my dream.
