Kill me, I thought as I grabbed some toilet paper and wiped my eyes. Now I’m trapped listening to the valley girl’s phone conversation.

“So, let me get this straight again,” the girl said. “You got pictures of him with her, right? And there’s some rumor about her being a madam or something? You didn’t start that rumor though? Right. At her massage parlor.”

  What?!

I sat up, ears perked up on high alert.

“So he either pays you for the photos, or you go to the media with them?” the girl laughed, examining herself in the mirror. I could see her now. She looked like a queen bee—the kind of girl you didn’t want to cross because you know she’d do whatever it took to ruin your life.

“And then it looks like he’s not only soliciting for prostitution, but it also ruins their relationship too! Devaney, you are an absolute savage!”

My blood boiled and the world seemed to go the same shade of black and white. I clutched my hands together so tightly that I felt my fingernails dig into the palms of my hands. This bitch, who I didn’t even know, was talking about Trent and me.

But who was she talking to?

“You’re upstairs now?” she asked. And then it clicked.

  The woman in the elevator.

I started putting the pieces together. The thing that Alfred had wanted to talk to Trent about earlier—when he interrupted us in the plane—that was about this. Some crazy girl was out to ruin Trent’s life and now mine with it.

And that was her, the girl with the sunglasses and hat who’d pretended to be giving me the hard truth in the elevator.

  Unbelievable.

“He’ll never see it coming!” the girl laughed. “When we get the payout, we’re heading to Miami, girl! Wooo!”

The bimbo clopped out of the bathroom, and as soon as she was out the door, I was on my feet, steaming mad and ready to chase her into the lobby and clobber her. But that wasn’t the right course of action. I had to find Trent and fast, before this got any worse.

I was a ball of fury. A meteor hurtling through space with a fiery tail.

My cheeks were ablaze, and if I was strong enough, I would have punched a hole through the bathroom wall.

It wasn’t just because of what this bitch had done to me—but because of what she was planning on doing to Trent.

I hadn’t realized just how protective of him I was until that very moment, but I knew then that if this girl thought she could take down my man (and me with him), she was sorely, sorely mistaken.

  Chapter Thirteen

  Trent

“All right, Alfred,” I sighed as we sat in the corner of the hotel bar. “What are our options?”

“Well, we could hire a hitman,” he smiled. “Or you could fight it in court and the press.”

“No,” I shook my head. “I don’t want Kylie being caught up in this. She’s not a public figure like me. I don’t want her life or reputation ruined.”

“Are you sure you want to shell out almost a quarter million bucks for a girl you just met?” Alfred asked. “You haven’t even known her for—”

“I’m sure, Alfred,” I said, cutting him off. He looked at me skeptically. “I don’t know how to explain it, but…this girl makes me feel a way I’ve never felt before. It’s way beyond her just being unbelievably sexy.”

“You’re scaring me, big fella,” Alfred grinned as he took a sip of his gin and tonic.

“I’m scaring myself,” I replied as I ran my thumb around the lip of my glass and watched the tonic bubbles rise to the surface. “I mean—I look at this girl and I see kids, grandkids, a house…you believe in love at first sight?”

Alfred shrugged in a way that let me know he didn’t want to say no and shit all over my moment, but he sure as hell wasn’t going to agree with me.

“Well, I’m starting to,” I replied. “Get the money together. I’m gonna go find Kylie.”

I got up from my seat, leaving my drink untouched, and headed for the elevators. I was steaming inside. As the elevator door opened and I got in and thumbed the button for my floor, all I could think about was how awful it would be if somehow getting involved with me would end up negatively affecting Kylie’s life.

I could take care of her financially, of course, so she didn’t have to worry about that, but a girl’s reputation is a girl’s reputation, and I didn’t want anything to happen to her. On top of that, there was no telling what the NFL might do to me if a story came out about me soliciting sex, either. Everything was teetering on the edge, and if I didn’t take care of this quick, both of our lives could come crashing down.

I slammed a fist against the wall of the elevator as it rose. I had to find Kylie; she would calm me down.

The doors opened and I took a right down the hall, but as I headed for my room, I heard raised voices and what sounded like screaming.

Sure enough, as I grew closer, I heard two girls shouting at each other like they were in the middle of a fight to the death.

Jesus Christ, I thought. Up here? On this floor?

It was probably a couple of skanks one of the other rich guys staying up here had brought up from downtown, or some “classy” escorts hopped up on drugs or booze who were acting like idiots. But as I walked, I realized the voices were coming from my room.

“What the hell?” I growled as I came to my door and knocked. “Hey! What the fuck’s going on in there?!”

I didn’t have my key. I’d given it to Kylie. Was that her inside?

“Trent!” she screamed back from the other side. “Trent!”

“Kylie!? Kylie, what’s going on in there!?”

“This bitch, Devaney!” she screeched. “She’s—she’s—”

  Devaney!? Here!?

“Kylie!?” I roared, shouldering the door with everything I had. But the thing didn’t budge. “Kylie! Are you all right!?”

“Give it back, bitch!” That was Devaney’s voice. I heard the sound of a slap and someone hitting the floor.

“Kylie!” I charged the door again like it was the front line of the opposite team’s defense. I heard the wood crack, but it still held strong. “Kylie are you—!?”

Then the door swung open to reveal Kylie, her shorts torn, her face and hair a complete mess, with a fresh scratch mark bleeding on the side of her neck. But despite all that, she had a massive smile on her face. She was absolutely beaming.

“Trent!” she cried out, throwing herself into my arms. “I did it!”

“Did what?” I asked as I caught her and held her tight.

I looked past her and saw Devaney lying on the ground, propping herself up on one elbow, wiping blood from her lip. If Kylie looked like she was in rough shape, Devaney looked twice as bad.

“What the fuck is going on here?” I growled. “Devaney, what are you—?”

“She came to set us both up,” Kylie said quickly. I let her down and she waved a cell phone triumphantly in the air. “She’s been stalking us—me—taking photos. I ran into her in the elevator, didn’t know who she was, but heard her stupid bimbo friend talking in the elevator, so I came up here and opened the door and—”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” I interrupted. “Slow down. What—?”

“I got the bitch’s phone,” she smiled. “All the evidence of her stalking you and me, incriminating text messages, even video messages she sent to her friends explaining what she was doing. It’s all on here!”

  Holy shit!

If there had been any question in my mind as to whether or not I was in love with this girl, it was now gone.

I fucking loved Kylie. That was all there was to it.

“You are incredible,” I said as I marveled at just how gorgeous she still looked, even after looking like she’d just finished a WWE wrestling match.

“I know,” she giggled, doing a faux curtsey. I heard another elevator ding behind me and turned around to see three police and one hotel security step into the hall.

“Oh, I also called the co
ps!” she laughed.

“I fucking love you,” I told her without even thinking. Her eyes bugged out, but just for a second.

  “You—you do?”

I kissed her on the lips, ready to take her right there in the hallway in front of everyone.

“You’re goddamn right I do,” I told her, locking my eyes to hers.

She was pure beauty, perfection, a dream girl I hadn’t even known I’d wanted who’d burst into my life like magic, and I’d be damned if I was ever going to let her go.

“I love you too,” she told me, setting my heart on fire.

“Thank God for my fucked up back,” I laughed. “Or I never would have met you.”

“Come on,” she smiled. “Let’s watch this psycho bitch get arrested!”

  Epilogue

  Kylie

“I am so proud of you guys,” I said as I smiled at my girls. “Sara, Mrs. Thompson called again to tell me how helpful you’ve been with her shoulders and, Tiff, Jeffery says he only wants you to help him with his hamstrings.”

“She’s so sweet,” Sara smiled. “She sent a thank you letter to my apartment!”

“Why hasn’t Jeff given me something?” Tiff pretend-whined. “How come you’re the only one with an awesome, rich boyfriend?”

“Lucky I guess,” I shrugged with a smile. “But remember, Tiff. This studio is not for meeting men.”

“Oh, you’re one to talk!” she laughed.

“I’m the exception. So unless your true love walks in the door like mine did, the rule still stands.”

  And that was the truth!

After everything went down with Devaney and her friend (whose name turned out to be Beverly, which I thought sounded like a sinister duo), Trent told the cops about what was going on with Becca and how she was trying to ruin my massage studio with false allegations.

It turned out that one of the officers had a buddy up in Boston who he’d contacted, and instead of waiting around for Becca to pay off people to lie for her or fabricate evidence, the Boston PD went and looked into her first, spoke to some of my former customers, and did a full investigation on my behalf. And what did they find?

  No wrongdoing.

  Of course.

So now, on top of Devaney facing charges for stalking, blackmail, and extortion, Becca was also facing charges of slander, fabricating evidence, coercion, and some other things on top of that. We also had restraining orders against both of them.

  How’s that for poetic justice?

As it turned out, my fears about Becca’s rumors spreading around town had been a bit unwarranted. The word hadn’t gotten out at all beyond the few clients I’d had that she’d contacted and the police, who now knew the truth.

With that behind me, I did what I had planned on doing all along; I expanded my business to a second location, hired a bunch of new girls, and was absolutely killing it. And so was my fiancé.

  That’s right. My fiancé.

He’d proposed to me the evening we found out he and the Patriots were heading for the Super Bowl. I’d been at the game, as I always was, when they beat the Bills, and instead of heading back into the locker room, he’d sent Alfred up into the stands to get me and brought me right out onto the field where he proposed.

Those words would be forever imprinted in my mind.

“Kylie Johnson, you are the most incredible woman I’ve ever met in my life. Meeting you was a miracle, and I knew right away that you were the woman I was going to spend the rest of my life with. You’re beautiful, smart, sassy, and filled with life and joy, and I never want to be away from you. Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?”

I’d burst into tears and said yes before he even had a chance to show me the ring.

“If true love gets me one of those,” Tiff said, snapping me back to the moment. “I’ll fall in love with anybody with six zeroes in their bank account!”

She was eyeing my engagement ring, a gorgeous pink diamond sparkling on my finger.

“I’d love Trent if he’d given me a Ring Pop, Tiff,” I replied. “Love isn’t about money.”

“But it doesn’t hurt,” Sara laughed.

A knock came at the door and Ryan poked his head in. “Sorry to interrupt. But, Kylie, your three-thirty is here.”

“My three-thirty?” I asked, confused. I had come into the office today to manage things, not to give any massages. In fact, I’d retired from actually giving massages a week after the events in Houston. I only had one client now, and he was at practice and was going to be out with the team until late tonight.

Ryan just smiled and closed the door behind him.

“Hmmm,” I muttered, twisting my lips. “Okay, girls. That was all I wanted to tell you. I’ll see you all tomorrow! And good work!”

The girls filtered out of the office and I made my way into the front to find Ryan, but he wasn’t at the desk.

My three-thirty? I thought as I went back to the massage rooms. All of the doors were closed except one.

“Ryan,” I said as I opened the door. “What are you trying to pull—?”

But it wasn’t Ryan in the room waiting for me. Lying there on the massage table, completely naked in all his glory, was my beautiful fiancé.

  “Trent!” I exclaimed in surprise.

“Hey, who’s this guy Ryan?” he teased, flashing me that million-dollar grin that made my heart melt and my panties wet. “And how many of his bones do I need to break?”

“What are you doing here, baby?!” I asked. “I thought you had practice and then a thing with the team?”

“I’m skipping the team dinner,” he replied. “But practice really did a number on me and I’ve got an area that requires immediate attention.”

“Oh, yeah?” I smirked, closing and locking the door behind me. “Your back?”

“No. Funny enough, my back’s fine,” he replied, turning over to reveal his broad chest, chiseled abs, and incredible cock that was standing up straight like a flagpole from his beautiful body. “I was just wondering if you could help me take care of this.”

“Mmm,” I replied as I stepped up to the table and slid out of my shirt. Trent ran his strong hand up my thigh and cupped my ass through my yoga pants. I felt my pulse quicken and I moved my eyes over my fiancé’s incredible body. He always looked even more jacked after a good workout.

“I hope I’m not interrupting anything,” he told me as he hooked his thumb in my waistband and tugged. My pants came down to my knees, exposing me before him. His eyes moved from mine down to my pussy that was already dripping for him.

“Oh, you mean one of my other appointments?” I replied as I reached over to the table and coated my hands in coconut oil. “Yeah, I actually have tons of other clients waiting for me. But I think I can make an exception for you.”

“You’d do that for me?” he asked as he slid his hand between my legs. I moaned and closed my eyes as my body came alive for him.

“Mmm, it’s a sacrifice I’d be willing to make,” I whispered as I reached out and took hold of his cock.

I still couldn’t believe his girth. My thumb and forefinger didn’t even touch when I wrapped my fingers around his shaft. Slowly, I began moving up and down as he traced my slit with his middle finger.

Trent let out a groan and arched his hips up, reached out with his other hand, and pulled me closer. I slid out of my pants, and as I stroked him gently with my fingers, feeling just how incredibly hard he was, he slid his head slightly off the table, extended his tongue, and licked me.

“Fuuuuuuuck,” I moaned as a quiver rippled through my body.

“So wet already,” he whispered, his breath playing across my slippery lips. “I love it.”

“Trent,” I moaned back. “Oh my God…”

He growled and pulled me closer, burying his face between my legs. He pressed his tongue inside me and my grip on his shaft tightened. I stroked him faster and faster as a warm white light grew inside me.

&nbs
p; “Trent…” I whispered again as my fiancé’s skilled tongue rolled across my clit, moving just the way he knew drove me crazy.

My legs shook and I clutched his chest with my free hand as my orgasm rocked me, nearly taking me off my feet. But Trent’s strong hands held me up as I came on his tongue and looked down to see his beautiful eyes staring up at me.

Yeah, this is the man I’m going to marry, I thought as I slumped down on his hard body. He moaned into my thighs, kissing them up to my hips and belly, then pulling my lips to his.

I tasted myself on his lips, which he knew I loved.

He knew everything that turned me on, and why wouldn’t he? He’d been the one who showed it all to me in the first place.

Trent was my first, my last, and my only. And I’d never been happier.

“The things you do to me…” I panted. “I love you so much, baby.”

“And I love you,” he replied.

“Mmm,” I smiled against his lips as I began stroking him again. “And now, Mr. Client, let me do my job and finish you off.”

“Actually, Mrs. Masseuse,” he said. “I have a better idea.”

Trent sat up, wrapped his arm around my waist, and before I knew it, I was on my back on the table beneath him. I spread my legs eagerly as he climbed on top of me and thought back to our first time together.

A moan slid from my lips as he pressed his cock against my hole and held it there, causing me to shake with anticipation.

“This is very unprofessional of you,” he teased with a smile.

“Oh, haven’t you heard?” I sassed him back. “This is one of those massage studios.”

“Is that right?” he mused. “Then I should come here more often. How many other girls do you have working here—?”

My mouth fell open. “Oh, you bastard—!”

But I couldn’t even get the words out. I had no chance. Trent thrust forward, stretched me open, and pinned me to the table with his incredible physique. I threw my arms around his broad shoulders as he took me, slow and steady, easing me onto his enormous girth that always took me a few seconds to get used to.
