Our Love Page 6

I guess Charlie was thinking the same thing because she looked at me with a perplexed look on her pretty face.

"What does this mean now, between us?"

"I don't know, but whatever it is, I like it."

Charlie smiled and kissed the back of my hand. I was suddenly turned on by her lips being on my hand. I wanted to kiss her again, but I knew it was late and we both had a busy morning ahead of us.

"I'll see you tomorrow," I said.

  "Definitely," Charlie said.

It was the next morning and the big bonfire pep rally was later on that day. As I woke up at 6a.m. for the big team meeting, I was tired but happy. I was so happy, I hugged and kissed my mom and gave my dad a huge hug before going out the door. From the looks on my parents' faces, they were probably wondering what was wrong with me. It was clear, I was falling in love. I had to admit, it had only been three days since I met Charlie, but it felt like I had known her for years. I couldn't wait to spend my time with her this weekend. Especially when we go out on Saturday. That would be our first official date; even if there would be four other people with us. As I pulled up into Belmont's parking lot at 7:10, I hopped out of the car and ran into the athletics building where I noticed the meeting had already started.

"Nice for you to join us, Mr. Collier. Where were you? You knew you had a meeting at seven," Coach Phillips said angrily.

"Sorry Coach. I guess I lost track of time. It won't happy again."

"Better not. Now let's go over some more plays," he said.

I looked over at Chris and Tyler; each gave me a 'what's- with - you' look and turned toward Coach. I looked toward the blackboard and sighed. Hopefully, I won't be off on my game like I was with time.

When the meeting was over, I caught up with Chris and Tyler who were going toward the quad. We left the meeting at 7:45, so since school starts at 8:15, we had some time to spare. We sat down at our usual bench and watched people walk by.

"What's with you Collier? You have never been late to a team meeting," Tyler said as we sat down.

"Nothing. I was just running late today, that's all."

"Yeah right. Even since you met Charlie, you've been thinking about nothing else. Listen, it's great that you met someone and I'm happy for you, but you need to be focused for tomorrow. You're the captain and we need you one hundred percent out there."

I nodded my head in agreement. Chris was right; I needed to be focused on the game tomorrow. But for some reason, I couldn't. Charlie was all I could think about.

"I agree. And I will be focused tomorrow. Believe that."

"Enough about lecturing Michael. Tell us about you and Charlie. How are things progressing between you two?" asked Tyler.

"We met up last night and went driving. We ended up at White Park dancing under the stars."

"Boring. Is there any action in this story?" asked Tyler.

I looked at Tyler and sighed. Leave it to Tyler to be a pig.

  "We kissed. That's all."

"That's great man. I hope things work out for you two," said Chris.

"I hope so too; but for some reason, I think things are going a little fast between us. I just met her three days ago and now we're talking about a relationship."

"Well take things slow. Try to get to know each other before a relationship is established," Chris said.

I looked at Chris and smiled. Out of the three of us, Chris was always the sensitive one. That was one of the reasons of why he is my best friend. I could talk to him about anything.

"Thanks man. You're right. Because I do not want anything to happen. I can't let anything happen."

  10. Charlie

Tonight was the bonfire pep rally. When I talked to Brandy earlier today in class, she told me that the bonfire is a big deal at Belmont. Many students volunteer their time and energy for a week to prepare for the bonfire and set up preparations for the big dance the following night. Parker's homecoming didn't come close to Belmont's. Even though it was also a big deal there, we never had a bonfire, and people were never energized the week ahead. We just had the game and a dance; that was all.

I was still reeling over what happened between Michael and me last night. Just the thought of having his full, soft lips on mine made me wish I could see him right now. I had to tell someone about what happened, so I told Brandy.

  "What! That's great!" Brandy exclaimed.

"Well I'm glad you're happy," I said laughing.

"I'm just glad for you two. Although I don't know you well, I know you're a sweet girl and Michael needs that. You're a far cry from ice princess over there." Brandy twitched her head over in Danielle's direction.

"Thanks. Do you think she knows that Michael and I are talking?"

"I don't know, and who cares. Maybe she needs to know."

I looked over at Danielle. She looked in my direction and gave me a mean stare. I turned away from her nasty glance and looked at Brandy.

"I don't want her to know. Not yet anyway."

"Oh well. She's going to find out. Someone is bound to tell her that her ex is talking to the girl who bumped her from head cheerleader."

I sighed and looked out the window at the beautiful day in front of me.

I don't want Danielle to know. Usually I like to flaunt who I'm with, but this time, if I flaunted Michael in front of Danielle, or anybody in that matter, I have a feeling the outcome would be bad.

As I was getting ready for the pep rally, I realize that I forgot my cheerleader sneakers in my school locker. I told Brandy and Kim that I had to go back into the school and ran toward the building. The school seemed scary while empty. As I went to my locker, I felt someone grab me by the waist and turn me around. I looked at the person and realized it was Michael. Dressed in his football jersey and jeans, he looked at me and smiled.

  "Hello," he said softly.

"Hi," I said in a sexy tone.

We looked at each other and before I knew it, I was leaning against a locker while Michael had his hands on my body, kissing me passionately. I forgot all about my shoes as I started to feel Michael's weight, among other things, pressing against me. After a few minutes of panting and groping each other, we pulled away with huge grins on our faces.

"I need to do that more often," Michael said smiling.

I smiled as I reached into my locker to get my shoes.

"You nervous about tonight?" he asked as he stood behind me. Just having his body close to mine, his breath on my skin, made me become extremely turned on. I closed my locker and turned around to face him.

"Why should I be? It's not like I've never cheered before."

"I know, but this time you're rooting for a different school. I know you'd rather be at Parker cheering for their team."

I smiled and put an arm around Michael. Since our kiss, we became more affectionate around each other. In Chemistry class, we found every moment we could to brush up against each other or to touch each other.

"You're right. I'd rather be at Parker. But if I didn't come here, I wouldn't have met you."

Michael smiled and put his hand on my cheek. He brushed it lightly, while gently brushing his lips with mine.

"I know. Good luck out there."

  "Thanks," I said softly.

"You want me to walk you back to the field?" he asked.

  "Sure," I said.

As we started to walk away from my locker, a sudden reaction overcame me as I tenderly took Michael's hand and we walked hand in hand down the hallway. While we were walking, I could have sworn someone was staring at us. It could have been my imagination, but I could feel a pair of eyes watching our every move. I turned around to see if anyone was behind us, but there was no one around. Michael looked at me and turned his head around to see what I was looking for.

  "What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I have a feeling someone was watching us."

"I don't think so. No one would be in the building. Especially today."

  I sighed a
nd looked behind me again. I had a strong feeling someone was looking at us.

"Besides, I'm here, so you have nothing to worry about," Michael said as he whispered in my ear.

Just hearing him whisper in my ear made my body shiver. I smiled and we went down the hallway toward the double exit doors. Just as we left, I started to have a feeling that someone was staring at us.

Seven o' clock, and the bonfire pep rally was underway. As students and alumni filled the blenchers on Belmont's football field, I looked around at the other cheerleaders nervously. I didn't think I would be so nervous. Maybe because I was at another school, and the routines we were about to do may not be the right type of cheers for the crowd I'm witnessing in the blenchers. Brandy came up to me and gave me a hopeful smile.

"Don't worry girl. You're going to do fine as head cheerleader. I talked to the other girls and they said that it was great how you changed this team around in such a short time. We have confidence in you girl."

I smiled and took Brandy's hand.

"Thanks. I really needed to hear that."

  "No problem."

As the bonfire was being flamed, I looked over on the other side of the field and saw Michael standing with the rest of the team. He looked at me and gave me a warm smile. Having Michael, Brandy, and Kim in my corner was such a wonderful feeling. I turned around and looked out into the blenchers one more time. I noticed one person in particular that had her usual stony look pointed at me. She looked at me as if she was about to jump out of the blenchers and rip me into tiny pieces. I gave her a mean stare and turned my back to her. I had a feeling that Danielle was the person I suspected watching Michael and me by my locker. As soon as I was about to tell Brandy my suspicions, the principal, Mr. Davis, walked over to the small white platform that was centered on the football field.

"Hello everyone, and welcome to our annual homecoming pep rally!" Mr. Davis said into a black microphone.

When Mr. Davis said the introduction, we ran up to the platform and started to hi kick and shake our green and white pom-poms into the air. The crowd went wild as the homecoming festivities were underway.

"Thank you, thank you. Now tonight we are here to celebrate homecoming and the achievement these guys have made so far in this season."

"Yeah!" we yelled as we started to cheer for the team.

"Now before we start the pep rally, I would like for the captain of the team to say a few words to the crowd. Come up here Michael," Mr. Davis yelled.

Michael smiled as he sexily strode toward the platform. My heart started to skip a beat as he went up on the platform and winked at me. He stood in front of the crowd and gave a winning smile.

"What's up Belmont!" he yelled as the crowd became more hyped up.

"Of course everyone knows that we're going beat Travis tomorrow, right!" he yelled into the microphone.

The crowd started to scream and holler like it was graduation day. I looked around at the pumped up students and realized that Belmont had a lot of school spirit.

"Hopefully everyone will come out tomorrow to support the Spartans as we claim another victory!" he yelled.

The crowd started to go wild as Michael walked off the platform. As he was leaving, we looked at each other for a moment until he went back over to the rest of the team. I looked back into the crowd and realized that Danielle was looking at me intensely. I think she knew something was going on between Michael and me.

Mr. Davis went back up to the platform to announce the cheerleaders.

"And now here are the Spartan cheerleaders with their pep rally routine!" he yelled to the crowd.

When Mr. Davis mentioned the cheerleaders, I thought I was going to be sick. Butterflies started fluttering in my stomach as we all went out onto the field. The music we chose for the routine, which was Rihanna's "Right Now," started to play on the big loud speakers that were set up on the field. As I looked at the other girls behind me, I gave them all a thumb up sign and turned around. The girls were so nice to me after I took over as captain. I don't know if it was the fact that Danielle wasn't controlling them anymore, or because of my cheerleading skills, it didn't matter now. I just wanted to give the best performance I could possibly give.

I counted to five as we stood in the center of the field waiting for the lyrics to start. When it did, we did a dance routine consist of us popping our bodies and shaking our butts. At Parker, keeping the crowd interested was the main thing at pep rallies and games; and that meant doing dances that were club shaking but tasteful. That is what I brought to Belmont. As I started to shake my body to the beat, I looked over at Michael who looked at me with a sexy stare. I could tell I was turning him on. Just like the rest of the men in the crowd. When the routine was over, we did one of the cheers Danielle made up and the school fight cheer, which I quickly had to learn. When our set was over, the crowd was yelling and screaming at us like they were at a concert and we were the performers. I gave my first performance at Belmont High, and to be honest, the cheering felt pretty good.

After the other activities occurred at the pep rally, the crowd later moved to the bonfire, where everyone sung the Spartans' school song. After that, the pep rally was over, which meant everyone was heading to The Ridge, Belmont's famous hangout. Instead of us going there, Michael and I decided to go back to White Park to be alone. As Michael parked his car in the same spot he parked it last night, he looked at me and smiled.

"I haven't told you that you look good in your cheerleading outfit."

I blushed. "Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself in your jersey. I can't wait to see you all padded up tomorrow."

Michael laughed and looked at the midnight sky that was in front of us.

"Why didn't you want to go to the Ridge tonight?"

"Because I wanted to be alone with you. Besides, I'm tired of the same old thing. The same crowd, the same atmosphere."

  "So you need a change?"

"Yeah, I do. Since I've been here, I've been considered the all-around guy. Everyone either looked up to me or wanted to be like me. At first, I liked the attention; but now, I'm bored with it. That's why I going away to college. That way I can get away from anything that connects to Belmont."

"It must be hard to live up to everyone standards. Trying to impress everyone at Belmont."

"Yeah. But it doesn't matter. In a few months, I'll be graduating."

"So where you going to college?"

"I have my heart set on Northwestern, but I was thinking about University of Texas. What about you?"

"I'll probably go to University of Houston. I'm a home body, so I know if I go out of state, I'm going to be homesick."

"I see you're starting to get the hang of everything at Belmont. How did you know about the Ridge?"

"Brandy told me. I know every school has a hangout; just like Parker has Chester's."

"I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I would really like to meet your friends."

I smiled. From the conversation I had with Eva at Chester's, I didn't think the feeling was mutual. Hopefully her mind would change when she met Michael.

"Was I turning you on with the performance we gave tonight?"

Michael looked at me with the sexiest grin on his face.

  "What do you think?"

He looked at me as he kissed me on the lips. From the kiss he was giving me, I knew that was a definite yes.

When we pulled away, I smiled at him.

  "I'm glad you liked it."

"What's not to like about you? You're perfect."

  "I wouldn't say that."

  "You are to me."

He started to move his hand up and down my thigh, giving me a tingly sensation. He looked into my eyes and reached over for my lips. Suddenly, he pulled away from me and looked out toward the sky.

  "What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing. I don't want you to think that I'm some hormone driven guy. I've only known you for three days and I'm already all over you."

  I smiled as I
took my hand and lifted up his chin. I made him look straight into my eyes.

"Michael, if I didn't want you to touch me, I would have told you."

  "So you want me to?"

I smiled. "Yes. I want you to."

Michael smiled and started to kiss me again.

Normally, I wouldn't let a guy touch any part of my body, but there was something different with Michael that I couldn't explain. Just looking at him touching me gave me a feeling that I never had before. I looked at him while he moved his hand up my thigh again. He leaned over me and reached for my lips. While I tried to get comfortable, Michael looked into my face and put a finger to my lips. I took his finger and started to slowly suck it. He started to moan a little, so I figured why not give him something to moan about.

"Why don't we go into the back seat?" I said.

Michael smiled as we climbed into the small back seat. I don't know what came over me, but I didn't want it to stop. I was always the good girl-the girl who went by the book-on certain things. But tonight, I wanted to be someone else. I wanted to be bad.

While Michael was caressing my back, I decided to kiss his neck. Michael laid me down on the leather seats as he lifted up my sweater, exposing my bare stomach. He lightly planted kisses towards my navel, causing me to arch my back.

eAs soon as we were about to go further in our make out session, I could see a bright light coming through the tinted glass. Although you could barely see anything through Michael's tinted windows, I knew I saw a light shining through.

The person went up to the front of the BMW and saw me pull away from Michael, while Michael sat dumbfounded wondering what to do next.

  "Oh no!" I exclaimed.

I looked at Michael with a scared look while Michael looked at me in embarrassment.

"Could you two step out of the car, please." the guy, who was a police officer, demanded.

As I tried to get out of the backseat, I already knew Michael and I were in very big trouble.

  11. Michael

After we were caught by a cop at the park, he decided to make a visit to both mine and Charlie's homes. As Officer Parks escorted us to Charlie's house, I noticed her Mustang was parked outside. The garage was up, displaying two cars, a GMC Yukon and a Lexus coupe, parked inside. I knew both of her parents were home. I took a deep breath and sighed as I parked my car by the curb. Officer Parks parked his cruiser behind me and got out of the car. I looked at Charlie and took her hand.
