I Want Candy Page 22

by Laveen, Tiana

  Candy turned away in annoyance.

“I’m certain other men haven’t had to jump through this many hoops to date you. I know you’ve been hurt, and I know this may be a bit different, but that’s still no excuse. You’ve never shown me any insecurity – until now. I don’t like it,” he said calmly.

“Insecurity?” Candy rolled her eyes and laughed. “Please don’t toot your own horn, Mr. Justice. I’m not insecure. I’m just concerned, and rightfully so. You’re my boss and you’re…you’re…”

Gabriel sneered and snatched her plate out of her hand. “…white.” He walked away into the kitchen and placed the dishes in the sink. Candy slowly walked into the kitchen, holding her arms.

“So, am I supposed to apologize for this, Gabriel? This is all new to me. I’m not tryin’ to be a fool in love again. I’m smarter now. I have to watch what I do and say. I can’t just fall for someone again without looking both ways first.”

“I never asked you to be foolhearty, but I don’t expect to pay for what someone else has done. This is a fresh start. Crucify me when I mess up, not beforehand. When you stop seeing yourself as a victim, and instead as a survivor, your life will improve,” Gabriel chastised.

Candy laughed in anger. “So you’re Dr. Phil now? People like you really kill me. You’re successful and powerful and completely removed from the real world, you know that? Why don’t you take your own advice, get off your high horse, and stop fantasizin’ about company peons!” Candy stormed away. Her body shook as anger swarmed inside of her like a sea of angry bees. She did not truly understand where the anger was coming from, but it propelled her forward, one swift step in front of the other, anchoring her steps until she reached the front door. As she turned the knob, she felt her shoulder gently jet backwards. Gabriel pulled her towards him, embracing her tightly.

“I’m not sorry for telling you the truth, but I’m sorry for how I said it.” He buried his face into the cradle of her shoulder and ran his fingers through her hair, admiring the thickness and texture. “You’re scared. Don’t ruin this, Candy. Gimme a chance, please.”

“What do you want from me?” Candy asked, her body still stiff with defiance.

“I want to get to know you better. I know all about you professionally. I know you as a friend. We’re past that now. I want you to let me in. If you are who I think you are, I want to be your best friend and lover. I want to be inside you,” he said as his body melted with hers. Candy’s knees weakened. “We’ve known each other for years. This has been building for so long. I’ve been dying as I just waited and waited, trying to gauge the right time to approach you. I want you to trust me. I’ve been going crazy thinking about you. Please let me make love to you.”

Before Candy realized it, she was standing inside Gabriel’s bedroom. She pinched herself on the wrist in disbelief. A large Italian tiled ceramic fireplace was in the center of the room. She watched as Gabriel lit a fire. His king-sized high-post bed was layered in white silk. All along the walls were expensive oil paintings from France and Italy, a couple of them dating back to the late 1800s.

“I had no idea you were such an art lover,” Candy whispered.

“I’m an art lover, supporter, and collector. I’ll take you to my favorite local gallery sometime soon.” He walked around the bed and lit several woodsy scented candles, then picked up a remote and pointed to a corner of the room where heavy, dark-mulberry drapes hung. Slowly, the curtains opened, revealing an impressive stereo system with large speakers. Christopher Cross’s song “Sailing” began to play. Candy closed her eyes and swooned briefly as the song took her back to her childhood. She flung her eyes open once she heard a rustling noise. She watched as he meticulously undressed. Flashes seeped into her mind of this same man giving empowering company-wide speeches, laughing at business meetings, and jumping down an employee’s throat a time or two.

‘He’s an important man,’ Candy thought as she now witnessed him down to his black silk boxers. As he stood by the candlelight and the room began to warm, she could see the silhouette of his joystick. She wasn’t sure if it was the lights, the wine, or her sudden mood playing tricks on her, but a wicked smile crept across her face as she assessed his thick inventory.

The soft, dark hairs on his chest trailed down his stomach in a neat line, then disappeared into a V-shape right below his navel. He was in excellent shape. His body was sculpted to perfection with lean muscle. It was hard for Candy to imagine him ever being overweight. He lie on top of the bed, his hairy legs slightly open and his knees drawn up. His arms rested on his legs as he looked at her, his head slightly tilted.

“Are you just gonna continue to stand there, or can I expect your company sometime soon?” he laughed as he patted the bed for her to come closer.

“How many other employees have you slept with?” He had confessed to her before that she was his exception, and as much as she wanted to believe him, she found it hard to. She put her hand up to her mouth in disbelief. ‘Where is this coming from?’ she thought.

Gabriel dropped his head and shook it. He then looked up at the ceiling, his silver and dark-brown hair falling back as he closed his eyes in exhaustion.

“Do you always make it this hard? I mean really. What did I do to deserve the displeasure of this evening?” he said coolly. “I tell you what, let me just allow you to go home because apparently that’s what you really want to do. Your accusations are insulting. Every time you light a fire to ruin this evening, I extinguish it, and now here is another one. After a while, I have to give up and let this burn down, or I’ll have third-degree burns trying to save something that wasn’t even fully established.” He laughed in frustration and threw up his hands. “I…I can’t keep on doing this. You’ve made the night extremely long. I don’t know what your issues are – wait, I do, but that’s neither here nor there because you refuse to face them. It was so much easier when we were just professional. I’ve always found you to be highly intelligent, sexy, and captivating, but this other side of you, the insane side of you, is unbearable. Do you do this to other men? No wonder you’re single.” Gabriel rolled his eyes.

“Now wait a minute, you…” Candy shouted.

Gabriel interrupted and kept his train of thought. “I should have known there was a catch because you seem so ideal. Anyway, you’ve seen me in my underwear now, but nothing has happened, so while it’s still safe, why don’t you run on back to your world of denial, blame, and silliness? I don’t have the patience for this. And for the record, this isn’t about sex. I’d be completely fine if you told me you weren’t ready for this level of intimacy, but you’re sabotaging the entire thing by acting in ways you know will derail us. We could’ve just relaxed this evening without having sex at all. I want to make that perfectly clear to you. That’s not the point. I told you not to waste my time, and I meant it.” He pulled the covers over his shoulder and laid down. Candy stood there trembling as she stared at his outline. After what seemed like an eternity, he rose.

“Are you still here?” he asked, rubbing his eyes. “You don’t want to be. I don’t hold prisoners.” He turned away.

“Gabriel, I have no idea what’s going on with me tonight. I guess I’m nervous. I promise you, I’m not usually like this!” Candy laughed fretfully.

“I have no way of knowing that, and quite frankly, your behavior concerns me. You’ve been hurt, taken advantage of, and divorced from a man who didn’t value you. You’ve lost a baby. You don’t think I know that? You don’t think I remember Samantha telling me we need to send flowers because you had a miscarriage and how upsetting that was to me? You don’t think I remember a year ago, you crying your eyes out because your marriage was over? You don’t think I remember how withdrawn you were after you and Quentin broke up, even though I didn’t know you and he were together? It didn’t matter. You were hurting, and it hurt me, too. Those are all terrible things, but you have to reclaim your life.” Gabriel sat up on his elbows. His eyebrows furrowed as
he tried to control his exasperation. “Now that you aren’t eating your pain away, it’s bubbling to the surface for me to be abused by. You’ll overeat again, cry again, accuse and run again until you realize that you aren’t your mistakes or experiences, you’re today and tomorrow. I’m not going to keep trying to sell myself to you. I am who I am. Take it or leave it. I can’t change the fact that I’m a man, that I’m your boss, that I find you attractive and like you as more than a friend, but I can get over that last one. You have too much baggage. I don’t expect a perfect mate. That’s not it at all. I do expect growth, healing, and honesty however.”

“I’ve ruined the whole damn night,” Candy said as she shook her head and slumped down onto the bed. “This is so messed up.”

“Well, that’s one thing we agree on.” Gabriel sighed. “Let me get dressed and walk you to your car.” He yawned as he stood up and stretched.

“But I don’t want to go home,” Candy said as she walked up to him, embracing him tightly. “This is exactly where I want to be.”

Gabriel sat back down on the bed, bringing Candy with him as he held her hands.

“Look, I’m serious,” he said, his face stern. “This is it. If you want out, you can do it, and I promise you, scout’s honor, I won’t hold it against you or treat you any differently. I was apprehensive about dating you because I was afraid you might not be ready, but I convinced myself you were over your ex-husband, Quentin, and everything else. I understand your taking baby steps. I understand your being a bit concerned, but I haven’t shown you anything that should make you think I’m trying to use you or hurt you. All these years we’ve known each other, I’ve never purposefully disrespected you or made you feel like you were anything less than you are, have I?” Gabriel asked.

Candy looked down and shook her head “no.”

“You’re a beautiful, vibrant woman who has her whole life ahead of her. If you keep living in the past, then you haven’t forgiven them or yourself. I don’t want to date the broken and torn, Candy. I want the one who’s walking through the hallways and everyone is looking because she knows what she’s doing, she’s dressed to the nines, and she’s loved by many. I want the Candy who is vulnerable, but not always afraid. I want the Candy who can trust again.” He leaned in and kissed her, this time his tongue entering her mouth. Candy sighed and arched her back. Something about his mere touch, the softness of his lips, and the way he kissed made her turn to butter in his arms.

He slowly unbuttoned her indigo blouse, allowing it to butterfly open and expose the light-blue lace Fredericks of Hollywood bra she had ordered from a catalog a month ago. He traced the lace with his fingers before bending towards her heaving cleavage and kissing each perfect mound. He then traced the zipper of her slacks. Soon the sound of their removal was heard. The matching light-blue panties glowed against her tawny flesh. She looked away sheepishly. He whispered in her ear, “I think you’re stunning.” He wiped the teardrop forming in the corner of her eye.

“There’s nothing wrong with you,” he said as he caressed her shoulders. “Wanting to be with someone isn’t about weight. Your lover should care about your weight only as it relates to health, not vanity. Your body is healthy right now, but your heart and mind aren’t, and you take it out on your temple. I want to show you how to stop that, but not right now. Right now, I want you to let me take care of you and give your mind, body, and soul the reprieve they need.”

Candy felt her body gradually leaning back, melting into the bed as the sheets slowly draped over her in soft, cottony folds. She briefly closed her eyes as her body became silky and weightless. Suddenly, she felt his fingertips on her breasts. He had unsnapped her bra without her awareness and stroked her nipples gently, attentively. She felt the warmth of his mouth cover one nipple, then the other. She closed her eyes again and sighed, turning her head to the right as she drifted away in the dream of his sensuality. He created sensations she had not felt in a long time. Some were even new. She exhaled loudly as she fought the urge to orgasm from the mere nipple stimulation alone. He slowed down, eventually stopping only for her to feel him plunge his hand into her panties. He rubbed her mound of soft dark waves, eventually rubbing the tender knob, causing her to gasp with pleasure. Her clitoris grew, peeking out from under its hood as slickness ran over her vulva with each digital stroke. He took his time building her up before inserting his thick index finger inside her. She moaned, her hips gyrating to his motion.

“I’ll do anything you want,” he whispered as he inserted another finger. “You’re in control right now.” He continued to move his fingers in and out, the wetness increasing, moistening her underwear until it was drenched in her juices. Her sighs became louder as he once again brought her to the brink of orgasm. He slid her underwear off, then suddenly she felt his lips and tongue on her secluded orchard. He hungrily went at her, gripping her hips as she moved about, wrinkling the sheets beneath her. He moaned and swallowed, kissed and purred, enjoying every moment with her body, relishing it completely. He brought her to the brink once again, and then slowly backed away. Her frustration grew as now three orgasms had escaped her. He kissed her neck delicately, simultaneously removing his boxer shorts. He stretched over her head to a built-in bed shelf, then reached into a shiny black tin with “Egyptian Teas” written on it in gold letters. Candy looked up through his arms and watched as he removed a condom from the container. He tore it open, taking his time as he slid it onto himself. He was fully erect. She urgently opened her legs wider, her eyes begging for him to give her what her body so desperately wanted.

She pressed her eyes shut as she felt him slowly enter her, inch by inch until she had taken him all. She sighed with longing, enjoying the girth of his member. His thickness pushed open her sugar walls, causing them to contract and grip around him. He moaned loudly as he moved to and fro, holding her hips closely to him as he continued to dive in and out of her love. He gently pulled her hair, overpowering her without causing discomfort. She was pleasantly surprised by his skill. He was one of the gentlest and most flawless lovers she had ever had, but his personality and power added a special naughty bonus she had not anticipated. She wrapped her legs tightly around his waist, gyrating her hips and stomach into his pelvis. He responded back by thrusting harder and longer, following her lead as he tried to please her. She rubbed her fingers through his hair. The soft strands flowed over her hand. They kissed passionately as Gabriel continued to push her body into submission. This time, he did not stop. Her orgasm built and exploded, causing her to cinch her legs even tighter around his waist. He looked down at her, admiring her facial expressions as she released. Back to back, she felt another orgasm build and mount as he sucked her left nipple and moved faster and faster inside her. She held his neck. He arched his back and sighed as he held himself up on his hands.

He looked down at her again and smiled. “Let’s change positions,” he said as he helped her sit up in the bed, then eventually stand. He ushered her to the wall, turning her back towards him. Pressing her into the wall securely, he raised her up, to Candy’s amazement. She smiled at his effortless strength. Pressing his chest firmly against her back and hoisting her leg up, he entered her, kissing her on her neck and back urgently.

“Ahhh,” he moaned over and over, his climax rapidly approaching. Candy screamed out as a sudden, unexpected orgasm of her own caught her off guard. She pounded the wall with her fists as her body quaked and bathed his manhood in her juices as her climax subsided. She sluggishly looked over her shoulder, into Gabriel’s eyes. His body tightened then relaxed, over and over until the last drop was spent inside the condom. He exhaled deeply and laid her back down on the bed. They lie there in each other’s arms. Gabriel breathed heavily. The warm air from his nostrils caused her hair to move slightly as he kissed her neck. Candy’s thoughts drifted once more. She smiled in shame as she realized she was turned on by the notion of fucking the boss. Something was mischievous and liberating about it all at once.

“You want anything?” he asked as he rolled off of her and sat up, his eyes closed and his heart still pumping quickly.

“The question is, do you want anything?” Candy asked, her body seeming to have a mind of its own.

“There is plenty more I plan to do to you,” he smirked, “but I’ll let you catch your breath first.”

Candy hovered over him and removed the condom, casting it to the floor. He watched as her hands explored him, rubbing his testicles, and the tip of his penis in skillful exactitude. She felt him hardening again between her fingers, along with the engorged veins running along his generous length. Gabriel relaxed one leg and kept the other bent, laying his foot flat on the bed. He draped his arm over his knee, and exhaled deeply as he watched Candy take him into her mouth. She felt his hands once again in her hair, this time, moving her tresses out of her face so he could continue to watch her. He began to pant. His head lulled back and eyes closed as he gripped the sheets.

“Mmm,” he moaned as he reached down and caressed her cheek. Candy could feel wetness seeping out of her love as she grew open and ready with excitement. Gabriel gently pressed her head down closer. His moaning increased ten-fold. Candy sped up, stroking and sucking the head of his thickness quickly, over and over. Suddenly he lifted her off of him, moving her to the side as he came onto the sheets, his body jerking and shaking with each spurt of ejaculate. She watched as his breathing slowed down. She crawled towards his chest and laid her head down on it, listening to his heartbeat. In the silence, her mind raced.

‘Oh, no, what have I done? Oh, my God, I liked it, I really liked it. He’s actually quite good in bed. We went through with it. There’s no turning back now.’
