Give Me The Reason: A Love Story

“Damn, ma, you got some good pussy.”
“You like this pussy, daddy?” she said, working him over.
“Hell yeah,” he replied, placing his hands under her ass, lifting her slightly. He thrust his pelvis upwards, ramming his hard wood deeper inside of her quivering love hole.
“Oh yeeeesss,” she moaned, placing her hands on his bare chest. She bounced harder and faster on his dick. “Bae, I’m about to cum,” she panted breathlessly.
“Yeah I know, come all over this dick, ma. I wanna feel that pussy nut,” he groaned.
She loved when he talked nasty to her, because it only intensified her orgasm.
“You gonna come or what?”
She wrapped her arms around his neck, and buried her face in his chest preparing herself for the powerful explosion that was soon to take place.
“Come for me, baby,” he whispered in her ear. Just like that, Natasha exploded all over his rock hard chocolate stick. She yelled so loudly, that she was sure she woke up the entire neighborhood.
“Hell yeah, that’s what I’m talking about,” he said, before releasing his hot load deep inside of her.
Natasha collapsed on his chest, unable to move a muscle. He stood up and carried her into his bedroom. She heard her phone ringing in the distance, but was too exhausted to care about who was calling. More than likely it was Jason calling to let her know that he’d made it safely to his next stop or Delaney trying to find out where she dipped off to. Natasha thought about her husband, and for a brief moment she felt guilty for what she was doing. She knew she was being reckless by having unprotected sex with ole dude. The more she thought about it, she was no different than her trifling mother. Tears welled up in her eyes as the realization of what she was doing hit her hard. Natasha rolled over on her side and wiped away the tears that escaped her eyes.
Chapter Fifteen
Delaney dreaded going over to her parent’s house, but she hadn’t seen her mother in almost three months. Over the years their relationship remained strained. The last time she talked to her mama on the telephone, she was drunk and going off about catching her daddy at some hole in the wall club hugged up with another woman. The drama never ceased in the Michael’s family. The only person Delaney spoke with on a regular basis was her uncle Cam. He was more of a father to her than her own daddy.
She threw the teal green and chocolate comforter back and forced herself to get out of her comfortable king size bed. All she wanted to do was kick back and watch movies in bed all day. Given the fact that today was her mother’s birthday, she decided to do the right thing and at least go by the house and show her face. If her mother started drinking and getting reckless with her mouth, Delaney was going to make a quick exit and come straight back home. She wasn’t up for any bullshit today.
She turned the shower on, preparing to step inside, when she heard her cell phone ringing. She quickly shut the water off and dashed back in her bedroom to answer the phone. When she looked at the caller ID, it read Tyson. A smile spread across her face as she contemplated if she should answer or let him go to voice mail.
“Hello,” she spoke softly into the speaker, losing the battle with herself.
“Hey beautiful, did I catch you at a bad time?”
Damn! His voice sounded even sexier over the phone. She fell back on the bed with a huge smile spread across her face. She didn’t know why she was so geeked about Tyson, but she was headed down hill fast with no brakes.
“I was just about to take a shower when you called, but I guess I can put it off for a few minutes.”
“Mmmmm, that sounds nice,” he said, visualizing her wet and naked.
“Get your mind right, playa,” she joked. She knew exactly what he was thinking and she’d be lying to herself if she said she wasn’t thinking the same thing.
“My mind is right, ma, because it’s been on you all day.”
“Is that right?” Delaney asked, twirling a piece of her hair between her fingers. She couldn’t wipe the smile off of her face right now if someone paid her to.
“Most definitely. I told you I don’t play games and my word is my bond. I’m feeling you and I wanna get to know you better.” He meant every word. His last relationship ended over six months ago. There hadn’t been a woman to come along that made him want to get back in the game until now. The first day he met Delaney, it was love at first sight, as far as he was concerned. It was something about her eyes and the way she carried herself that drew him to her. He saw through the tough girl act that she portrayed. And he was just the man to break down the walls surrounding her heart.
“Tyson, I’m going to be honest with you. I’m not into relationships and commitment. My focus is strictly on my career right now,” she said, hoping to deter him.
“That’s bullshit.”
“Excuse me?” She sat up in the bed ready to read his ass from top to bottom.
“Listen, I ain’t the dude or whoever hurt you. Anytime a woman says something like that, is when she’s been through some shit. Don’t miss out on a good man by holding on to what a lil’ boy did to you in the past,” he said, putting emphasis on the words lil’ boy.
Delaney was speechless. Here she was getting ready to read him and he just read her like a book. Normally when she threw a guy shade, he would let his ego get in the way and back down. Tyson on the other hand was a different story all together.
“Thanks for calling, Tyson, but I need to get going.” She ignored his last comment.
“Yeah okay, just know that I’m not going anywhere. I will be right here,” he said, confidently.
“I swear you don’t know when to give up.” She chuckled.
“Giving up is not an option, babe. So, what are you getting into today?”
“Why?” She answered him with a question. Delaney knew she was being a pain in the ass, but she wanted to see how much he could take.
“Just be ready at eight pm sharp. I’m taking you out tonight.”
This nigga has a lot of nerve. His cockiness is cute, but not that damn cute, she thought. “Who says I’m going anywhere with you tonight?” she said with attitude.
“I did, so text me your address and be ready at eight,” he said, and disconnected the call. Tyson knew he was taking a chance, but it was a risk he was willing to take. Something in his gut told him that she was going to text him the address, but only time would tell.
Chapter Sixteen
Delaney pulled up to her childhood home and noticed Uncle Cam’s brand new silver 2015 C Class AMG Mercedes Benz parked in the driveway. A smile instantly spread across her face. She loved her uncle for so many reasons. Any chance she was able to see him brought her extreme joy. She grabbed her favorite beige Gucci handbag and stepped out of her car. Lawd, please let this woman be on her best behavior, Delaney silently prayed as she walked up the long driveway.
She opened the door, letting herself in without bothering to ring the doorbell. The house was unusually quiet. She expected to hear her mother running off at the mouth like she normally did. Delaney walked into the empty kitchen, where there was still no sign of her mother or her uncle. After searching the entire downstairs, including the backyard Delaney started walking upstairs.
“Mama,” she called out.
As soon as she placed her foot onto the last step, her mother’s bedroom door swung open. Her mother and uncle came walking out of her parent’s bedroom together. Delaney stood there looking confused as her eyes traveled from her mother to Cam. Cam avoided making eye contact with her, while her mother fidgeted with her blouse.
Ding Dong. The doorbell chimed interrupting, Delaney from questioning her mother and uncle.
“Get the door, baby, I bet that is your Auntie Macy,” her mother said, hoping to avoid an interrogation.
Delaney stood there for a minute trying to get a grasp on what was going on. Finally, when the doorbell rang a third time, she turned around and headed back downstairs. She swung the door open and immediately sm
iled.
“Heeeey, baby! I haven’t seen you in so long. Just look at you, all grown up with ya beautiful self,” Macy said, grabbing Delaney, hugging her tight.
She returned her aunt’s hug and smiled. Macy had aged over the years, but she still had one of the most infectious smiles of anyone Delaney knew.
“Hello Auntie, it’s so good to see you.” Delaney stepped back to allow Macy to come inside.
Ava and Cameron stood nearby talking to each other in a hushed tone.
“Mama, Auntie Macy is here.” Delaney glared at her mother. What in the entire hell is going on here? she wondered to herself. Why were her mama and uncle acting so strange, and why did they come out of her parent’s bedroom together? Something just wasn’t right with that picture. She was determined to get to the bottom of it.
“Happy Birthday, this is for you,” Macy said handing Ava a beautifully wrapped package.
“For me? Thanks girl,” Ava squealed. She anxiously unwrapped the gift, tossing the wrapping paper on the floor.
“Yeah, it’s just a little something, nothing big.”
Ava pulled a beautiful glass, handcrafted angel figurine out of the box. She’d been collecting angels for years, but this particular angel she didn’t have.
“Oh, thank you so much, I love it!” She hugged Macy. Ava placed the beautiful angel on the fireplace mantel and smiled.
“Mama, can I talk to you in the kitchen, please?” Delaney asked. Ava nervously nodded her head yes and headed towards the kitchen with her daughter close on her heels.
Macy watched Natasha and Ava walk off and she wondered what could possibly be wrong now. Those two were forever at odds. Macy somewhat blamed herself for being so messy in her younger days. Over the years, Delaney had overheard way too much about her parents tumultuous relationship due to Macy’s carelessness.
Ava reached for the wine bottle and poured herself a full glass of wine. She wasn’t prepared to answer Delaney’s questions right now. She took a large gulp and waited for her one and only daughter to speak.
“What were you and Uncle Cam doing in your bedroom with the door closed?” she asked, tapping her foot on the floor. Her daddy may not be the best husband in the world, but she hoped like hell that her mother would not stoop so low as to sleep with his oldest brother. Delaney wasn’t by any means excusing her father’s adulterous ways, but her mother could have left him years ago if she was so terribly unhappy. Sneaking around with his brother was beyond scandalous in her eyes. She was fed up with her absentee father and her drunk ass mother at this point.
“Delaney, I don’t have to explain shit to you; but if you must know, your uncle was fixing the raggedy ass toilet that I’ve been bugging Cane to fix for the last year,” she lied, looking around nervously. Ava knew how much Delaney admired and looked up to her uncle, and she didn’t want to say anything to taint her daughter’s image of Cam.
“So, why did you have to close the door, Mama?” Delaney asked suspiciously. She knew her mama was full of shit, but she never expected her uncle to be involved in such fuckery.
“This is my damn house, lil’ girl, and I can close all the mafuckin’ doors that I want to close. Don’t come in here questioning me. I haven’t seen you in so long that I almost forgot what you looked like, Ms. Attorney-at-Law,” Ava rolled her eyes, gulping down the entire glass of wine.
“Whatever, Mama, where is daddy at anyway?” Delaney sighed. There was definitely some shit in the game and she was going to get to the bottom of it one way or the other.
“Hell, I don’t know. Probably out trickin’ off with some bitch,” she said angrily throwing both of her hands up in the air. Ava hadn’t seen nor heard from Cane within the last two weeks.
Delaney felt her left ass cheek vibrate and remembered that she’d put her cell phone in the back pocket of her jeans. She automatically smiled when she read the text message:
Tyson: I’m still waiting on that address shawdy.
She quickly texted Tyson the address and placed the cell phone back in her pocket. After this fiasco, she was sure to need some type of stress reliever.
When Delaney and Ava walked back into the living room, several of her mother’s friends from the neighborhood, along with their husbands, were sitting around talking. Many of the ladies, she hadn’t seen in quite some time. Of course, the question of the day from all of her mama’s friends was when she planned on settling down and starting a family. She gave all of them the same answer, which was never.
So far the day was going fine, with the exception of catching her mother and Uncle Cam coming out of her parent’s bedroom looking as if they’d committed the ultimate sin. Delaney was grateful that her uncle had been there in more ways than one for both she and her mother, but their recent behavior just wasn’t sitting right with her. She couldn’t shake the eerie feeling that something strange was going on. For years there had been tension between her father and her favorite uncle. Delaney was starting to suspect that her mother was the root cause of their issues.
Cam fired up the grill and cooked steak, ribs, hamburgers, and sausage links. Delaney whipped up her famous potato salad, and baked beans. Her mother was all smiles and seemed to be really enjoying herself. The old school jams were blaring loudly through the surround sound speakers, and a few of the couples were up dancing. Delaney and her mother had their issues, but she was delighted to see her mother enjoying herself, in spite of her father’s absence.
The doorbell rang, and Delaney danced her way over to the door to answer it. To her surprise, Auntie Dana was standing there smiling. “Hi Auntie Dana.” Delaney said, surprised to see Dana standing on the other side of her mother’s door. Heads were definitely about to roll once her mama laid eyes on her arch enemy.
“Who’s at the door, baby?” She heard her mother ask as she walked up behind her.
“Happy birthday, Ava,” Dana said, nervously. She was taking a risk, as well as a chance at receiving an ass whooping for showing up at Ava’s house. Her ex-best friend was known for going from zero to a hundred real quick.
Ava’s smile immediately left her face. “What the fuck is your hoe ass doing here?” she yelled.
Delaney placed her hand on her mother’s shoulder. “Mama, calm down. You don’t need to cause a scene right now, besides it’s your birthday,” Delaney spoke to her mother in a soothing voice.
“Nah, Laney! This bitch has some nerve showing up at my house when she been fucking my husband for years!” Ava spat. Luckily, the music was turned up pretty loud and no one could hear the disturbance.
“I just wanted to stop by and say Happy Birthday,” Dana said with tears in her eyes. She missed her best friend terribly, but she knew things would never be the same between them.
“Ava, I didn’t mean any harm. I was in the neighborhood and seeing all of the cars parked at your house, reminded me that today is your birthday. Anyway, I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday is all,” she said, casting her eyes towards the ground.
“Fuck you and your happy birthday, bitch! You’ve got some nerve showing your face at my damn house,” Ava said. Delaney could see hurt and pain register in her mother’s eyes. She didn’t know the whole story about what went down between her mother and Dana, but obviously it was deeper than what it appeared to be on the surface. Her mother already had way too much to drink and Dana’s presence was only aggravating the situation.
“Auntie, thanks for coming by, but this isn’t a good time right now,” Delaney said, hoping Dana got the point.
“She ain’t ya fuckin’ auntie, Laney! Fuck that raggedy home-wrecking hoe!” Ava yelled. This time she caught the attention of everyone. The music stopped playing and all eyes were on the three of them. Macy ran over and stood between the former best friends.
“This ain’t the time nor place y’all. Dana, now you know better than this shit,” Macy scolded. She felt a twinge of guilt for being the one who sparked the flame between the two of them years ago. She was going through cha
nges in her own marriage, and in some sick way she got pleasure out of knowing that Cane was fucking around on Ava. So every chance she got, she would tell Ava about the shit Cane was doing in the streets.
Dana bowed her head, turned around, and walked off in tears.
The crowd started to disperse after all of the commotion between her mama and Dana. Ava was yelling and talking shit long after Dana left. Delaney pulled her mama back into the house and tried to calm her down.
“Mama, why don’t you go upstairs and lie down?”
“Fuck that, Laney! I ain’t ya damn child, I’m the mama,” she slurred.
“I know you’re the mama, but I think you would feel better if you got a little rest, is all I’m saying,” Delaney said, taking her mother by the arm.
“Get ya fuckin’ hands off of me!” Ava yelled, angrily snatching her arm out of Delaney’s grasp.
Cam knew he better intervene before everything spiraled out of control. Ava could be reckless with her mouth when she was intoxicated. He didn’t like it when she drank, but he figured since it was her birthday that a few drinks wouldn’t hurt. Now he felt like an ass for allowing her to drink. She hadn’t been drinking as much since he’d been back in the picture.
“Delaney, why don’t you head on out, baby girl? I can take care of your mama,” he said, wrapping his arm around her shoulder.
“Yeah, I bet you can,” Delaney snapped. She grabbed her purse and headed towards the door.
“Delaney, what is that supposed to mean?” Cam questioned. Delaney had never spoken to him so harshly before.
“Nothing, Unc, you seem to have it all under control,” she said, slamming the door on her way out. She didn’t even get a chance to give her mother her birthday gift. Delaney planned to surprise her mother with a mother/daughter trip to the Bahamas. No matter how fucked up their relationship was, she was always trying to find ways to make it right. She craved her mother’s love. She couldn’t understand why it was so hard for her mother to love her. Delaney backed her car out of the driveway and sped off with tears in her eyes. Would they ever be able to repair their broken relationship?
