Don’t make me pull rank, because you know that that is not something that I want to do.” James knew that if his ex wife and Jessica didn’t want to do anything, then not even threatening her was going to change the results. “It’s not my place to say anything.” He turned towards Reina and was imploring her without words to say something.
“Ms. Stevens, I didn’t really want to get into the middle of this, but it appears that I have no choice. Your ex husband and I have been working together to make sure that my people don’t get a foothold on your planet. Right now, they are this close to making any kind of resistance futile. I don’t want to see what happened to other worlds happen to yours.
