They were about halfway home when Lacy pulled over to the side of the road.

“It is time you learned to drive. Let’s exchange seats,” Lacy said. “You can be more independent if you drive.”

Jennifer drove the rest of the way home with Lacy giving her pointers. Her hands shook on the wheel but she was able to drive to Lacy’s apartment and park. Operation of a current-day vehicle was not difficult, but the randomness of other drivers and having to trust their obedience to painted lines on pavement was an issue she hadn’t had in the thirtieth century. Adrenaline had her blood singing in her veins.

“Now for payment for the lesson, I’d like some sex,” Lacy said with a grin.

  “Okay, let’s go upstairs.”

In the living room, Lacy put her hand on Jennifer’s arm. “You see? I am not afraid to be the aggressor.” She kissed Jennifer’s lips.

Jennifer kissed Lacy back, opening her mouth so she could duel with Lacy’s tongue. Lacy moved her hips against Jennifer’s.

“You are shorter than I am.” Jennifer relished their size difference. Being the larger of the two gave her a sense of dominance, of control. “I want to be on top.”

Lacy laughed and took off her clothes. She kept her bra and panties on and Jennifer thought she might still be a little shy after all. She took her clothes off and got on top of Lacy, straddling her hips with her knees on either side.

Jennifer kissed Lacy’s nipples through her lace bra, wetting the front with her mouth. Lacy’s legs writhed, almost dislodging Jennifer from her position. Jennifer kissed her way down Lacy’s thighs, tonguing the patch of wetness in between her legs. The panties were soaked through with Lacy’s excitement, the scent of her tangy and enticing. Jennifer tugged the leg elastic aside, exposing her clit. She licked until she felt Lacy’s thighs tightened under her hands. Lacy cried out and came under Jennifer’s mouth.

“Wow,” Lacy said. Her chest was heaving and her voice was breathless.

“We have two weeks to have fun before Marty gets back, so no need to rush.” Jennifer stroked Lacy’s petite bottom and tickled her thighs.

“We shouldn’t waste it then,” Lacy said. She slipped her undies off then rolled until Jennifer was on the bottom, rubbing her hand against Jennifer’s clit. She kissed Jennifer and moved to finger her vagina and lick it at the same time.

“I want to try something,” Jennifer said, pushing Lacy away. She moved so that they could both kiss each other’s vaginas at the same time, licking at Lacy’s clit as Lacy licked at hers. Lacy came just before her, pouring over Jennifer’s chin. Jennifer thrust her vagina deeper into Lacy’s mouth, moaning as she came.

The week went by fast as Jennifer and Lacy enjoyed each other in the mornings before they studied and in the evenings before they slept. Jennifer called Marty every few days, regaling him with tales of their sex life so Marty could pleasure himself. She wanted to put him on speakerphone so he could hear her making love with Lacy but Marty wouldn’t cross that line.

Marty got back and Lacy was so busy with her dissertation that they hardly saw one another. Jennifer missed them both, as Marty had a lot to do at the university once he’d returned. She hoped that when Lacy got her degree that might all change.

Lacy graduated with honors in March, in less than three years, a record in Marine Sciences. Two weeks later, Jennifer and Marty had her over for dinner. Jennifer was nervous so she cooked and baked the whole day.

She served roasted small saltwater smelt called shishamo.

“These shishamon are really very tasty, especially the females with roe. Just add lemon and grated daikon,” Jennifer commented. “Have you had it before, Marty?”

“Yes, years ago when I visited Japan.”

“I had this last week on a date with Ken,” Lacy told them. “He is Japanese and loves a little Japanese restaurant near downtown. I never knew what they are called but I love them.”

After dinner, Marty told the ladies they could start without him, although he took his shirt off and loosened his pants.

“I want to watch you for a while,” he said as they walked into the bedroom.

Jennifer and Lacy undressed for him in a strip-tease before making a show of kissing each other. Jennifer squeezed Lacy’s breasts and Lacy touched herself, getting herself wet. Marty sat in a chair across from them with his legs spread, massaging his cock.

Jennifer and Lacy got onto the bed. Jennifer began licking and kissing Lacy’s vagina, making her come before Lacy realized it was happening.

  “Oh,” she said, blushing. “Sorry.”

Jennifer smiled. “It’s your night, Lacy. Think of it as a graduation present.”

“I want Marty to have sex with me then. You’ve made me so wet.”

A thrill of pleasure at the thought of Marty’s girth stretching Lacy open rippled through her. Jennifer sucked Lacy’s nipples and played with them with her hands while Marty took his pants off and got on the bed. He brought Jennifer’s lips up to his as he entered Lacy below. Lacy cried out and Jennifer turned her attention to Lacy, sucking and biting at her nipples, while touching her clit and Marty’s shaft. Lacy came before Marty so she knelt and took Marty’s dripping cock in her mouth, sucking him until he came in her mouth.

Lacy and Marty then turned to Jennifer, taking turns kissing her mouth and vagina. Marty sucked at her clit until she came, gasping and crying out.

They spent the night figuring out the positions they all liked and exploring. Lacy wanted to try almost everything. Jennifer was so excited to give pleasure to her best friend and lover.

Lacy told them, “I want to have sex with Marty behind me and eat Jennifer at the same time. I want to make you both come.”

Lacy got on her knees with her butt up in the air while she spread Jennifer’s beautiful legs apart, slowly kissing her thighs, then licking the vulva, penetrating Jennifer vagina with her tongue as Marty penetrated Lacy with his cock.

Lacy’s body shook from the power of his thrusts as he pushed inside her. Lacy’s mouth felt delicious on Jennifer’s clit. Jennifer held Lacy’s hair tightly, keeping the other girl close.

After Marty came inside Lacy, Jennifer licked and sucked the other girl’s vagina, making her climax while Marty sucked Jennifer’s clit and penetrated her with his fingers. Lacy then helped Marty, licking alongside his tongue until Jennifer’s back arched; she came so hard she nearly passed out.

Marty held them both as they slept with Jennifer’s head on Lacy’s breasts. They woke several times during the night, having sex or simply stroking each other.

“This was my greatest day, with two beautiful women,” Marty said.

They all finally went to sleep.

  * * *

Marty woke first and took a shower. Jennifer made breakfast and Lacy started the coffee going.

“We had something really special last night,” Lacy said. “I’d love to do it again.”

Jennifer hugged Lacy. “Last night was fun. How about next Saturday? Can you come back?”

  “Yes of course,” Lacy said.

Marty ate breakfast and drank coffee. He kissed both Lacy and Jennifer goodbye.

“I have a meeting at ten and need to get to Coconut Island. I’ll see you tonight, Jennifer.”

Jennifer started working on her physics project after Lacy and Marty left. She felt wonderful. She’d enjoyed being with Lacy. Lacy was special. I hope she finds the right man in Tahiti.

  CHAPTER 26

  Trip to Montreal

Jennifer woke up to an urgent email from an Evette Heros.

  Dear Jennifer,

I was told about your recent reappearance. My mother and father have spoken to me of your great rescue. I am so happy you survived.

I would like to come and visit you but I cannot leave, as I would miss my medical school graduation. Can you come and visit me? My brother, Louis, has two children and we all want to see you.

I hope you can call me sometime. My phone number is attached.

  Love,

  Your cousin Evette

She’d known the other Jennifer had relatives in Canada, but had never spoken to them. Jennifer quickly wrote back.

  Dear Evette,

I still have amnesia and do not remember anything before I was on Moruroa. I was marooned there over a year ago. Jules Durand tells me I was born on August 22—I cannot even remember my own birthdate! I am enrolled in graduate school at University of Hawaii in physics and archeology. I would love to visit you! I can fly to Montreal next weekend on Friday. Will that be convenient for you?

If so, can you pick me up and recommend a hotel?

  Love,

  Jennifer

A few hours later Jennifer got an answer.

  Dear Jennifer,

I will pick you up and my brother Louis will take you back to the airport on Monday. I recommend the Queen Elizabeth. Your father always liked that hotel.

  Love, Evette

Jennifer had itchy feet and was glad to leave. She loved flying and wanted to see as much of this time period as she could; so far she had only seen the South Pacific and Hawaii. But she had grown up in the Montreal of the future. She could hardly wait. Though she would miss Marty, the sex was so much better after they had been apart for a few days.

She left for Montreal the next Friday. Marty dropped her off at the airport and kissed her goodbye.

“I’ll miss you. Call me when you get there,” he said.

  “Roger that!”

She napped on the long flight and continued her studies. As daylight dawned the sun showed the continental mountains in sharp relief, tiny white peaks far below cruising altitude. Jennifer smiled to see them; she had missed snowcapped peaks during her time in the islands. The plane descended into Montreal, but the buildings in this time were tiny things of stone, not the shimmering two-mile glass towers of the future. The mental image of post-Syndos war devastation made her dizzy for a moment. No, this was an earlier time. A safer time.

A woman in her mid-twenties with blonde hair and an athletic build met her at the airport, holding a big sign that made Jennifer smile.

Evette held out her arms, welcoming Jennifer into a tight hug. “Welcome! You look like your mother but I’ve heard you may have your father’s brains.”

“Can you tell me about Colette and André and the rest of the family?”

“Yes, but you’ll hear it again from my mother over dinner. She misses them so. André and my father, Jacque, were very close brothers who worked like a perfect team for years even after André moved to the Marquesas. They were a great team. When my father lost contact with André, he went into a very conservative approach and made zero large investments until my brother Louis wanted to try his hand. Louis and Father haven’t done so well. My mother is now scared to death they’ll lose money, so she wants to sell. Sorry about the business, it just crept in.” Evette covered a giggle with two hands.

“No, it’s good to know about the family dynamic here,” Jennifer assured her.

“I’m so sorry you don’t know what great parents you had,” Evette said. “I admired them when they sailed their own boat to the Marquesas.”

“I guess they were real adventure seekers.” Not unlike herself.

They arrived at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel and the limo stopped to let Jennifer out. She was reminded this was not the tropics by the biting cold wind. Her lungs and nose protested as much as her skin.

She shivered and rubbed her arms with her hands. “I can take a cab to your parents’ house if you are busy. I want to go and take a shower and do some shopping for a coat.”

“Nonsense, I’ll come up with you and we’ll spend the entire day together so we can get to know each other,” Evette said. She followed Jennifer up to her room, telling Jennifer about what she was studying at the university.

“Why did you decide to be a physician?” Jennifer asked.

“I want to help people and be respected as a doctor. My father got sick about five years ago when I had just started in college. He was having memory problems. I wanted to help him so I started to read about the reasons why brain function starts to fail in patients with dementia.”

“You are trying to save your father! I admire you for that.”

“Thank you for the compliment, but I think it may be too late for Dad,” Evette said. “The research into Alzheimer’s disease has been very disappointing and nothing has helped.”

“Do not give up. I believe you can help find the cure,” Jennifer said. Her head spun in a moment of deja vu as the name suddenly snapped into place.

In her studies of the twenty-first century, she had read about a Canadian couple, Marc and Evette Levin, who found the cure for Alzheimer’s disease. It was strange to meet such a famous person even before she became famous. I do not want to impact history but I will encourage her, Jennifer thought.

“I am interested in medical training even though I am in a different field. Can you show me your labs and your work tomorrow?”

“Yes, we can go to McGill Medical School tomorrow and I can show you the recent paper I presented.”

“Wonderful—that would be a real treat for me. I am so interested in what medical school is all about.”

“Would you like a massage and a spa facial? We can play tennis, go for a swim and then hit the spa. We have time to shop first if you like?”

“I shop very little. All I need is something for the cool evenings. I do not own a real coat. Can you help me find something appropriate for Canadian weather in the evenings?” Jennifer asked.

  “Yes of course.”

Evette and Jennifer went shopping on foot, as everything was within walking distance downtown near the Queen Elizabeth.

They returned later with a couple of packages. Jennifer had a nice winter coat that she loved. Evette had picked out almost the same coat for herself. Both ladies liked athletic styles rather than fashionable styles. Jennifer was intrigued by the synthetic fibers and weaves used to vent perspiration while trapping warmth and repelling moisture; primitive compared with outerwear of her home century but very clever.

Evette was a great tennis player. Jennifer did not really know how to play but she had played a similar game when she was child in the thirtieth century. The ball in that game was smaller and faster so she adapted quickly.

“Thank you so much for teaching me tennis.” Jennifer wiped at her forehead with the small sport towel Evette offered.

  “You’re welcome.”

They went to the pool area for lunch and both ordered veggie salads.

“We’re very much alike,” said Evette. “We’re both blonde and blue-eyed.”

“We are both athletic and smart as well.”

“Can you tell me about your stay on Moruroa? Or maybe tonight is better as my mom will want to hear everything.”

“Yes, once would be best,” Jennifer said.

“Let’s go to the showers and then a massage. It has been a year since my last massage.”

After the showers and massages, the ladies went to the hair and facial section of the spa. Then they went to Jennifer’s room to change their clothes for dinner. Jennifer noticed a birthmark on Evette’s back. It was like her birthmark. How strange, Jennifer thought, since they were born centuries apart and weren’t even related.

“Our bodies are very similar and you have the Heros’ birthmark,” Evette said. “Most Heros women have that mark.”

A shiver crossed Jennifer’s back. “I think you are more beautiful.”

“Maybe, but you’re younger and smarter,” Evette said. “I’m only studying medicine—you’re into quantum physics.”

“I may be a bit younger but I am not any smarter than you. You will save people’s lives with what you study.”

Jennifer and Evette finished dressing and put on their new coats before heading to meet the limo.

“Do you have a limo every day?” Jennifer asked.

“No, I live next to campus and I walk or bike every
where for exercise, but Mom insisted we pick you up with a limo. We just rent one on occasion for business.”

“Thank you for the luxury, but I ride my bike to school every day like you. I am happy to help reduce pollution any way I can.”

  * * *

Evette’s family home was only a few miles away. The first sight of it left Jennifer gawping. It was a mansion. “How many people live here now?”

“Just my mom and the three servants.” Evette shrugged.

“This is a beautiful house…Thank you for inviting me,” Jennifer said.

  “You’re my cousin!”

Jennifer didn’t feel like a part of the family that lived in all this grandeur. André and Colette’s home in Nuku Hiva had been nice but still quite humble. This seemed extravagant. They exited the limo and crossed the yard to the front door, which opened at a servant’s hand to admit them. An older woman walked forward to greet them.

“This is your Aunt Renee,” Evette said.

Renee embraced Jennifer and kissed her on both cheeks.

“Welcome, child, we thought you were lost at sea. I’m so happy you are here. I have had so much sadness over the past decade. I need something positive.”

“I am sorry I cannot remember anything before I hit my head,” Jennifer said. “Please excuse me for this lack of identity and memory.”

“Don’t worry, you’re in good hands with Evette! When she finishes medical school, she will specialize in neurology so she can treat you and help you adjust to your life.”

One of the servants brought out a tray of caviar and champagne.

“Thank you very much,” Jennifer said, introducing herself to the man.

“Oh! My god, you not only look like your mother but you introduce yourself to the servants just like her.” Renee posted a hand on her chest, her eyebrows at her hairline.

“I am sorry if I offended you, Auntie Renee,” Jennifer said.

“I’m not offended, just surprised.” Renee shook her head. “Would you like to see the pictures I have of you and your cousins when you were younger?”
