Even if she doesn’t call, at least I tried. I hang up and my heartbeat takes a moment to settle.

I flip the phone closed and lay it on the small nightstand next to my bed. With a sigh, I fall back on the pillows and pick up my book, leafing through the pages until I find where I left off.

  My phone rings.

Wrapping up my second novel, all I can do is take a deep breath. It would never have evolved from a simple idea to the exciting novel it is today without the help of so many people.

First, I’d like to give a big thank you to my amazing editor, Bailey Karfelt. Even under the tight time restraints, you managed to craft and shape my novel into a thing of beauty.

I’d also like to thank my publishers, Vern and Joni with BHC Press. I can always count on both of you to steer me in the right direction and portray my novel in the highest light.

Of course a big thank you to all my friends and co-workers who put up with me as I bounced ideas and concepts off you! Thank you all for your honest feedback!

Thank you to my wonderful husband, Daniel. Did you ever think the idea we tossed around that night at the Cheesecake Factory would equate into a whole book?

I also need to thank my son, Jack. You are the happiest little boy and I am amazed by you each and every single day. You are by far more incredible than anything a screen could ever show me.

And lastly, thank you for reading! I hope this small insight into a possible future may help you see your own world in a new way.

Caytlyn lives in Elmira, NY with her husband Daniel, her two children, and her orange tabby cat, Ana, who is only slightly overweight. She can quote any Disney movie and believes that everyone should wear polka dots.
