“What happened here?” Natasha demanded. “Who did this?”
“The half-breed,” Hugo replied. “She killed Korver, and then convinced the others to join her. Then she banished me from the pack. I didn’t know what else to do, so I came back here once they were gone, hoping you would return.”
Natasha looked down at the body of her cherished Korver again. She gently closed his eyes. And then got to her feet, clenching her fists even as tears continued to slide down her cheeks. A fresh lust for revenge was born in the pit of her stomach.
“What do we do now?” Hugo asked timidly. The oaf was thoroughly incapable of thinking for himself.
“We’re going to find that half-breed and the traitors with her, and we’re going to kill them,” Natasha replied without hesitation. “I’ll rip Tobias’s heart from his chest and force that bitch to watch me devour it. Then she’ll know my pain.”
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Nicholas Jordan is a writer of fast-paced and suspenseful thrillers. His philosophy for crafting stories is to focus on real world terrors rather than just supernatural dangers that exist only in our imaginations—although he’s not afraid to blend the two. Themes of revenge, obsession, and morality are all common in his novels.
There is nowhere that he would rather be than sitting in front of his computer with a mug of tea, diligently working on his next novel, which is more than likely where he is right now.
