  Joost was behind the wheel of his brand new sports car. It was early morning, Bheki was by his side, and he was determined to master driving with one eye.

  With his foot over the accelerator Joost took a packet of cigarettes from his pocket, removed one, and lit it from the car lighter.

  ‘Another secret honey?’ asked Bheki.

  Joost pulled onto the motorway.

  ‘It’s no secret baby, and you should know, I’m always smoking.’
