Four Page Letter: New Year Bae-Solutions Page 7

by Seals, Angela

“Uh huh, and why do you agree to everything?”

Shrugging her shoulders, she averted his gaze. Quinn couldn’t agree to being the instigator to some … well, most of their Best Friends Challenges. Although Pax knew that she’d made the challenge for all of them to be married, she still didn’t think it was necessary for him to know everything. “That’s what we do.” She lifted her eyes to his smiling face. “We agree to shit.”

“So y’all did bet on who’ll get pregnant first?”

  “Maybe! Maybe not,” Quinn replied.

  Pax lifted an eyebrow.

I don’t want to lie. You need a distraction, she thought. Pax was pounding this pregnancy question to death, and she needed to detour his mind to something else, like her body. Lifting up on her knees, she straddled him and landed a smoldering kiss on his full lips. “Enough talking,” she mumbled, slipping her tongue into his parted mouth. He groaned loudly and clutched the back of her neck.

She snatched her mouth away from his lips and started to place feathery kisses on his neck and chest, slithering down to his stomach and beyond, until she found her mark. Her friend was already standing at attention and beckoning her to come and take a taste.

“Baby, don’t we have to go?” Pax ground out between clenched teeth, when she eased her mouth down on his long, thick shaft. He loved when she did the tongue trick, but she decided to leave it for the last minute. Right now, she just found comfort in pleasing her husband.

“Oh, shit, baby. We’re going to be late,” Pax reminded her again, while directing her head in a precise up and down motion.

Becoming lost in Pax’s incoherent curses and sharp breath intakes, realization hit her that they indeed had to go soon. So, she quickly did the twirl she normally did with her tongue, and a deep throat to allow Pax’s dick to hit her tonsils. His body shook as his head fell back against the white, fluffy pillows. He came fast and hard, exploding his white, creamy nectar into her mouth.

“That was the shit, bae,” he uttered breathlessly.

Beaming, Quinn gave him a quick peck on the lips before swinging her legs off the mattress. She suddenly hit the floor with a thud.

  “Shit,” Quinn yelped.

Pax peeked his head over the edge of the bed. “How’d you fall?”

She rubbed her naked ass at the sharp, shooting pain radiating down to her mid-thigh. “I don’t know, do I ever need a reason?” she asked, wincing.

Taking her time to get up from the carpeted floor, she turned to find Pax’s face fixed in a massive frown. He laid back on the bed and covered his face with his forearms.

  “You can laugh, Pax.”

A snort slipped through his mouth, and within seconds Pax busted out in a round of laughter. His gasps and snorts made Quinn roll her eyes as she limped her way into the bathroom to shower.

She slammed the door closed and locked it as Pax’s pleas filled the air. “I’m sorry, bae,” he laughed even more, sounding as if he was hyperventilating. “Please forgive me,” he snorted.

Quinn turned the knob on the shower and stepped inside. She laughed to herself at the apologies Pax hollered outside of the bathroom door. It wasn’t as if she was mad, but it felt good to hear him suck up to her. She knew her ass was clumsy, and over time, Pax had learned just how goofy she was.

“You got five minutes since you won’t let me join you,” Pax yelled through the door.

“Nope, shower with your laughs,” Quinn screamed back.

She heard Pax groan as she washed her body parts hastily, not wanting to be too late for the second day of class. She was only steps away from becoming the mother she’d always dreamed. But it took two to make this happen, and that meant she needed to get Paxton Wolfe on board.

“We not too late,” Pax whispered in Quinn’s ear as they sat on the mat in the last row beside Ryleigh and Martin in a cross-legged position. Mac and Alex sat on the opposite side of Pax. Raven, Bryson, Ava, and Owen sat on the front row.

Day two of Baby Bump Boot Camp was in full effect. The two coaches, Ricky and Philomena, were standing in front of the class giving the details on Zen Day.

“Mind and body wellness,” Ricky said, pacing the floor.

Ricky resembled a broken-down version of Richard Simmons with his colorful headbands, tank tops, and booty shorts. He had the nerve to wear white socks with colored stripes running around the sides. And to add to his malfunctioning wardrobe, he sported a curly afro.

“There’s many meditation methods out there to prepare your body for pregnancy. However, Philomena and I,” he pointed to her, and she nodded her head in the corner, “will give you three tools to use.”

Philomena stepped in front of the class wearing her hipster outfit. Someone should remind this chick it’s not the seventies anymore. Her bell bottom jeans and her long, black shirt with a white T-shirt made Quinn itch.

She interrupted Ricky in mid-sentence. “Daily exercise, meditating, and a healthy diet as we stated yesterday will give you that bump you want and that healthy baby.”

Quinn smiled over at Pax. His face held an unreadable expression. He seemed so uninterested. Glancing around the room at Ryleigh, Mac, and Raven, she noticed they all seemed to be bored and fatigued. Only Ava shared in her bright, cheery smile. She sent her a thumbs-up, and Ava pumped her fist in the air.

“First, let’s start with some exercises to loosen those limbs,” Philomena suggested.

Ten minutes into leg squats, Ryleigh acted as if she was about to lose her mind. She complained constantly. “Shit, I think Philomena is about to kill us,” Ryleigh grunted. “I thought this was supposed be a mediation class today?”

Quinn huffed. “Just do the exercises, Ryleigh. This is good for your body.”

Ryleigh frowned. “Whateva, Quinn. You love this shit.”

“I sure do. So, stop fucking complaining, so I can get the most out of this class.”

Mac, Ava, and Raven must’ve overheard their banter, because they laughed out loud, detouring everyone’s attention toward the back of the room.

Ricky scrunched his face and clapped his hands, alerting everyone to stop what they were doing. He instructed the women to sit between their husband’s legs.

Once everyone was in position, Pax whispered in Quinn’s ear, “With your ass touching my dick like this, it’s making me hard.”

  She smirked. “Pay attention.”

“I’d rather pay you some attention,” he responded.

Quinn turned her head slightly. “Stop playing, bae. I’m taking this seriously.”

Pax exhaled loudly. “Aight, I’ll chill.”

She turned back around to listen to the instructors. This challenge was going to be the hardest one yet for her and the girls by far. She thought snagging a husband was on the top of the list of hardest things they’d ever have to do. But the more she heard the groans and disinterested moans coming from Pax, it sounded almost impossible to get him on board. However, she wouldn’t allow herself to become defeated. There was another conversation that needed to be had other than why Pax wasn’t ready for kids. Her mind shuffled into million places when she remembered she needed to have the talk with her husband about getting off birth control. Yet, there was no way he was going to agree to it, feeling the way he felt now.

Do you really need his permission to stop taking birth control? A sharp pain stabbed at Quinn’s heart at that unwanted thought.

  About the Author

My name is Angela Seals aka Angel de’ Amor and I am an award-nominee indie author. I currently work as a senior corporate accountant by day and a writer by night. I have a master’s degree in accounting and is currently working on obtaining my CPA.

I pen contemporary romance and women fiction. I aim to inspire, captivate, and invoke fantasy when I write my novels. Two random facts about myself are: I love to wear red lipstick and drink coffee. My favorite music artists to listen to when I write is Chris Brown, John Legend, and Luther Vandross. The best part about writing is using the right combination of words to create imagery, and ultimately, feelings in the minds and bodies of my readers. Nothing gratifies me more than a well-written piece that readers can’t help but read.
